Taco John's Oakdale has not only the best midwest taste and style that Taco John's is famous for, and potato Olés with nacho cheese of course!
We had a great time in drive thru. The staff eas funny and and accommodating with my many special requests. The only tiny, tiny problem is you can't buy their amazing merch shirts, make them available for sale!! Please.
All of our hard shell tacos 🌮 were crispy, the street taco trio spicy and served with limes and of course the cheese and Olès were steaming hot! Eating in your vehicle watching the lake is the best seating at your next visit to Taco John's. Don't wait until you get home, your tacos will be soggy. Taco law #2- don't travel <2 kin with a hardshell for maximum crunching.
Stop in, say hi and ask when we can all buy our own shirt, "Shell yeah!"

Midwest Mexican is the what Taco John's is known for and it's always fresh.
They always put in enough napkins too!

I bought a large order of potato ole's and without hesitation the staff made my order fresh and hot and they were the BEST potato ole's I have ever had!! The man who took my order had the best attitude and made the entire experience worth going back for "fast food". If you are in need of a meal in a hurry and want some AMAZING customer service..just visit this location!

Hello! I left a review last year mentioning getting a bad batch of potato oles from here. I did get a bad batch that seemed like they were microwaved. I have since deleted that review. I have been back to this Taco John’s at least a dozen times since and everytime the potato oles are top shelf quality, so good. Thank you!

This place has really improved. From ordering in the drive through (individualized reply to my order by an articulate employee, to quickly filling my order, to a very pleasant interaction at the window, to higher quality food, I'm impressed! Way to go.

I've been eating at Taco Johns for more than 50 years. That says a lot! It's ALL good.

Been here many times but lately it's hasn't been very good also the waiting was so bad in the drive thru one day we even went around a vehicle onto the curb to get out of the drive thru we couldn't wait any longer and we didn't order anything crazy just some tacos.

Food is perfection. I got something for myself and my 94-year-old client. She craves Taco John's often. It always tastes great and looks good by the time I get it to her. Her favorite thing is the hot sauce. 🔥 I love the chicken tacos, tons of flavor.

Always good, and consistent over the years plus they recently did a face-lift, great prices on their Taco Tuesdays 🌮 as you probably already know if you're reading this ;-)

Fresh tacos, better than ever! The man @ the drive thru was very kind,informative,friendly and saved me $! Keep him around give him a raise you don't find that Anywhere anymore!

I like to stop into this Taco John's on Sunday afternoon heading to my gaming group. Service is fast and the staff are friendly. I get the chicken street taco meal every time. I look forward to going again this Sunday.

BETTER THAN ALL OTHER AMERICAN MEXICAN FOOD

This place has seemed to serve us fresh potato ole's every time we go through. They have a great variety to choose from, and their Nachos Navidad are sooooo delicious! Customer service is always friendly. Not sure about the Atmosphere inside because we go through the drive thru.

I prefer this place over the other chain. Every time I've been there, drive thru, always greeted with a cheery person/voice! Only at night, at times, items are not in our bag & have to ask for them. During the day, had no problems! Even on an order placed through the app, called to say we were there & he said they were just cooking the order so it'd be warm for us & brought it out to us. Nice young man, very polite.

I have never received bad food or service here. Being a former taco john's employee many years ago I can tell you there is definitely a right way to do the recipe and a wrong way.

This taco john's does it right! The lettuce is fresh, the ratios of meat sauce and cheese are just right, and the shells are crunchy and crispy. I drive 30 minutes to get here but it is always worth it!

We went through the drive through and were very happy! The lady at the window was super nice and let us know why it was taking a little bit. Fresh potato oles, so worth it! As we left...we realized they forgot our sons drink. We went back and they even upgraded his lemonade at no charge! Super nice lady at drive through (December 7, 2019..11:19am) she’s mostly the reason we are giving 5 stars!

Taco John's is always the best....fast food taco joint

11/9 I have to add to this. Today my family were in today. This Taco John's location was extremely busy. The staff were outstanding. Even though they fell behind on orders, all if the employees were pitching in and getting it done. I can say that I have been there and with how outstanding the manager was at gathering her team, calming them down and moving forward through that rush was amazing. You cannot teach how she stopped all the employees and calmed everything done and pushed through. Some of us patrons noticed that and I hope that the owner reads this and truly see's the value of the staff that worked today around the noon hour.

The food was good as I expected. However, I feel that Taco John's is on the edge of being too costly for a quick meal.

Always fresh, always friendly, always quick, and always very clean and tidy.
