Awesome service. We did the buffet breading on the chicken it was so salty that you couldn't eat the chicken. And the chicken was overcooked and dry. The buffet was really good and fresh. Chicken soup was really good. Noodles on the buffet were really good. Ice cream was really good.

Good thing I'm fat or else I couldn't have helped finish the generous family style meal. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The waiter was right on top of things too. The chicken was perfect and I really liked the soup. I don't know what they put on the noodles; I loved it. I will definitely be back.

It’s hard to rate a restaurant solely on food. Zehnder’s is a place of tradition as my family has been making a trip to Frankenmuth yearly and making a meal and Zehnder’s mandatory. The Sunday dinner buffet has all your classic favorites. Fried chicken, a deliciously dressed up pork, shrimp and sliced up spare rib. The service has never disappointed and on the contrary I have always thought it great.

The atmosphere he is old fashioned elegance. It very clean and bright.

I ordered the All you can eat Chicken dinner ($31) and added Breaded Jumbo Shrimp ($6). It starts with a fruit & nut bread and a white bread served with a scoop of butter and Strawberry jam. Then comes the noodle soup, which I upgraded to the Vidalia Onion Soup Au Gratin ($6). This is followed by the creamy cabbage salad, cottage cheese, and cranberry relish. Also thin sliced toasted garlic bread served with cheese spread and chicken liver pate. Served with the Chicken course is mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, buttered noodles, and a veggie bowl. The breads were good and I appreciated the generous butter and jam for it. The soup was very good, but not $6 upgrade from the included noodle soup good. The cabbage salad is excellent, I'm picky about coleslaw and I loved this one. Cottage cheese and cranberry relish aren't for me so no opinion. The sliced garlic toast was a little too hard. Not a fan of Chicken liver pate. The Chicken was Fantastic, the best thing I've eaten this weekend. The spices are yummy and interesting, however warning it is salty. The Shrimp was amazing, the second best thing I've had today. The cocktail sauce is excellent. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes, though I've had better. I didn't enjoy the dressing, however I'm extremely picky about dressing. I dislike most, so not a negative on it. The butter noodles were very average and plain. I didn't have the veggie so no comment. Lastly you can choose soft serve vanilla, Chocolate, or Orange Sherbet, also a twist of 2. I got the Orange Sherbet and it was delicious. A really nice nightcap.

The service was excellent. Very friendly and chatty. A few hiccups, made it less efficient than what it probably is normally.

Overall a home run 5 star review. Would I return? Heck yes. Frankenmuth has a plethora of fantastic options.

The Boston Cream Tarte from the bakery was excellent also.

Attended a private event here at Zehnder's in the Town Hall banquet room. Have been to Zehnder's many times for the famous chicken, but this was my first time at a private banquet. I was really impressed with the food and the service provided. The chicken was there, but in addition, there was fried shrimp, prime rib, many choices of vegetables and salad, and to finish a great meal there were two choices of cake, strawberry and banana bread, both served with vanilla bean ice cream. The wait staff was top notch. Kaiden made sure our table was checked on regularly and kept our drinks refilled and made sure our space was void of dirty dishes. The decorations and presence in the room was very welcoming. I was extremely pleased with Zehnder's and our hosts for picking such wonderful items from their catering menu for us all to enjoy. Thank You Zehnders!

I had the prime rib and my partner had the chicken. Meals came with bread and coleslaw. Everything was very delicious. The prime rib was melting in my mouth. Sadly we ran out of room for dessert.

I’ve visited Zehnder’s Restaurant many times over the years, and the food is always delicious. Today, we celebrated my birthday, and our waiter, Colin, was wonderful. He was prompt, attentive, and had a great personality. I highly recommend dining here every time you visit Frankenmuth. We’ve been there when our son was little many years ago. Revisiting was a new experience with echos from the past. The decor appears to be a lot more elaborate, the crowds grew much larger (wish we could be contacted by text when a table becomes available) but the menu remains pretty much the same. It’s an all you can eat chicken dinner served family style. Loved the appetizers, particularly the liver pâté. The highlight of the dinner, however, was the cranberry sauce with apples and orange juice. It’s delicious. The fried chicken was tasty but salty. The rotisserie chicken was fine. Sarah was efficient and attentive enough in tending to our needs on an extremely busy day.

Best bloody Mary we've had in a long time. Chicken was amazing, especially when you add extra zehnders chicken seasoning. Smoked Brats with Sour Kraut were delicious.

Zehnder's is so much fun‼‼‼‼ I had no idea that this Jewel was so close to my house 🥰🥰🥰 I have been to many water parks but this one is at the top of the chart. The activities for the kids the cleanliness the food and the prices of it. This will be the only water park when we come to from now on 💯💯💯💯 #ZFun #buzzybooth

A legendary meal. The chicken was incredible and I have to give a shout out to the coleslaw as well. The service was wonderful and we got SO MUCH FOOD for the price. Everyone needs to check out Zehnder’s.

Had Christmas dinner here with some friends, and it was absolutely wonderful! The fried chicken was cooked perfectly...among the best I've had anywhere in the United States, the building is historic, and beautifully decorated. The sides were delicious, and the price was unbelievably low for what we got. I will be back again...try it out!

Everything in the meal was incredible and service was great! All you can eat and anything left over can be taken home. We left with 3 large take out boxes - essentially a second meal for each. The chicken is the best part. Will definitely be coming back soon.

Loved how they asked the group if anyone has a nut allergy before bringing the food out instead of having to ask and being told "I don't THINK anything has nuts or is cross contaminated"

I was heading through Frankenmuth the other night and realized it was my birthday month! So I parked at Zehnder's about 730pm; the hostess was so friendly, sat me in a booth in Shelly's section. I had the Classic all-you-can-eat Chicken Dinner with all the trimmings....it was delicious, and Shelly was the best! A+ ❤ And PLEASE REMEMBER TO TIP YOUR SERVERS AND BARTENDERS WELL if you go out! The only make a few dollars per hour and they are counting on you for their livelihood, so don't go out and be cheap on the tip!!! (I waited tables and it paid for college; also a grateful human!)😁🤩

This was the best food, atmosphere & service combined!! Zach was our server & was absolutely amazing! He remembered my kids names, had jokes & even a nice little dance to make the kids smile. When you talk about above & beyond this guy was it! As a general manager myself I would hire this guy in a heartbeat after being his customer! He truly has a family feeling to him & made all of us feel welcomed! Add the amazing food & the comfort seating & lighting! 10/10 recommend!!!

We tried the place across the street last time do decided to give Zenders a try this time.
Of the 2 options for family style chicken dinner, we much prefer Zenders.
We used the web site to book reservations which were super easy to change and edit.
Once we arrived we were seated within minutes and attended to by a super sweet older server. Overall service was great throughout the meal.
The fried chicken was very good, cottage cheese and preserves awesome, the cheese and bread was not good at all, the bread was dried out and hard, which was too bad because the spreads were nice.
Mashed potatoes were awesome and well seasoned. The stuffing was wet and mushy by the flavour was good. Broccoli and carrots could have been cooked more. The chicken noodle soup was very good. Cole slaw was really good, we asked for more of that. We added the schnitzel which was seasoned well but it was a little dry. Noodles lacked flavour but were cooked and presented well.. a little salt here would have been nice.
All of the above for 29.99 per adult and half price for kids was a great value.

We came here for the chicken dinner, of course! The chicken was so crispy and you can definitely taste that yummy seasoning! I highly recommend making reservations, which you can easily do online. The bakery downstairs had all of the bread that they serve in the dining room, plus so many other goodies!

Always go for birthday dinner! Never disappoints. Service is always excellent and the food is always amazing. Love the birthday caramel sundae.

We had a lovely dinner. So much food, we ordered 1 meal for 2. They brought us the first course for 2, no extra charge. We had Luke as our waiter, he is very new and did very well. A very personable young man. The place was busy. I really appreciated the cranberry relish, and the fact that the water was drinkable, very little chlorine taste.
