Downtowner Motel

Stay here every time I visit my son. Always clean rooms, clean towels and comfy beds. My only wish is that there was a mini fridge. Having to lug a cooler around kinda sucks. But loved being able to use my Netflix account there. Made it just like home. I will be back next time I visit my son

You get what you pay for. Very cheap rooms, with beds and a bathroom. No fancy schmancy breakfast, not even a coffee maker. Constant traffic noise because it's on a main thoroughfare. Expect nothing more, because you're not paying for anything more.

Hi all. Super lodging deal in the crosshairs of Houghton-Hancock. Located on the main drag in town right next to the big bridge. 🌉 has big views of the water right there. There is a bar/restaurant connected so you have everything you need right at hand. ✋ 🍺 🍔 🍟 🍕 🍺 🍺 and you are 1400 miles away from Washington DC....the swamp 🐛

Four walls, bed, and a bath, what else do you need for a week of snowmobiling. Plus has smart tv and cheap prices!

Clean rooms, inexpensive, great location by bars and nice view. No breakfast, older mattresses.

My son and I stopped just up the street and were quoted $154 for a room for the night which we thought was crazy for just two double beds. We pulled into the Downtower, needed to go to the bar next door to pay for a room which was $69.00 +/- . We though the room was clean and cool and everything worked fine. The TV had great channels and air was great. You can't get anything for that kind of money any more. l stay in a lot of hotels and if you just need a good place to stay for a night or two it is everything you need. Simple and easy and clean. Parked right by the room too!

We stayed here the other night, with three people in two beds. Though there weren't two queen beds available, two doubles worked just fine for us, and they were able to accommodate us on the first floor. Parking was full, but there was handicapped parking right on the street. With nearly all the other hotels/motels in town completely full, we were happy to find a room for just $54! Despite the super cheap price, we were happy to find a simple, clean and quiet room, with cool air conditioning and hot water. A good value for a place that may be working some kinks out, but is working to make a nice experience for guests for a great price.

What a great little place. Great location. Great Price. Wonderfully maintained 70's(I think. I wasn't around back then) decor. The rooms seemed very sound proof, there was a drum and bugle corp playing on the next door bar's patio and I had no trouble sleeping when I closed the door.

Interesting owners, an old couple who seemed pleasant.

Next door to the Ambassador(great pizza) and the Downtowner Bar and Grill(great lunch). Right on the strip so it is easy to walk anywhere.

It's a nice and popular bar with iTunes. Very entertaining in the summer

Relatively clean ... It's old. Beds weren't very comfortable. The AC didn't work and it was pretty smelly. But it was the only room available and kept the rain off our heads. People seemed nice.

Clean. Quiet. No mini fridge or coffee maker. One bed did slope to middle. It is an ok place to sleep. Check in is at the Downtowner lounge. Parking lot is small, but free down around back.
