Black Bear Ladder

Ordered a 20' fiberglass Louisville extension ladder - my bad, too short. Phone call to Black Bear - arrange for return/upgrade to 24' Lousiville. No re-stocking fee - charged the difference between the two ladders and a delivery fee. Unbelievably reasonable!!! I wrapped the 20' ladder in tarp to protect it from rain/weather until it could be returned. Delivery of 24 footer today - absolutely perfect!!

As for prices ? I shopped and shopped - Black Bear prices were lower, period! I could not find a step - ladder with a paint tray - IF, there was a gripe, that would be it. Let me be clear - no gripes - could not be more pleased. Thank you. Excellent experience!!

The website was a bit outdated but once I found how to navigate it (click 3 horizontal bars top right for options) the prices and selection were great! I ordered a 24' staging plank and 2 ladder Jack's and they got delivered to my doorstep in less than 24 hours. The delivery driver was really friendly and helped me carry my new plank out back. I'll definitely be ordering more planks and ladders from them in the future.

Almost unbelievable if you are a contractor from Massachusetts. If you are used to the attitude and prices from Lynn Ladder, Black Bear will be refreshing. Not only did they help me dial in my equipment without being condescending, they saved me money in the process. They prevented me from buying more than I needed- that's rare. The fixed price for delivery to northeastern Massachusetts is an amazing deal. Delivery was incredibly prompt and they called me the night before to confirm delivery. The fact that they have all their pricing on line is very helpful when trying to estimate a project. They don't do that "call for pricing" nonsense. What a great place!

A great company to deal with! Prices were better than elsewhere and the delivery to my home (120 miles) was a nominal $10. I had a small problem with one item and they returned with a new replacement the next day. You can't beat that!

As far as I can tell, Black Bear Ladder has the cheapest prices on pipe staging in the state of Maine. Their new prices are sometimes less than used at other businesses. The other items I have priced are on competitive or also cheaper than other places. Employees are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They even deliver for 10$ for 1st 100 miles. Awesome place.

Delivered a 24' ladder to me in Massachusetts within 48 hours of buying online. I figured with their rock bottom prices and fast shipping that it was too good to be true, but was proven wrong.There were no better prices anywhere - even from the big national stores. I probably won't buy a ladder for another 20 years, but have already recommended Black Bear to others. Thanks!

Nice to deal with a company that cares and makes an effort. Ordered on a Tuesday morning and was delivered Wednesday morning to midcoast Maine. Even called to make sure I had what I needed and where to put it when the truck delivered the scaffolding.

Super helpful. I needed a new harness and they were able to get one on order for my job inside of 48 hours that I am able to pick up.

Update: Black Bear Ladder responded to me with a very well detailed email on the pricing with Werner. Unfortunately they cannot match the price of Lowe’s on this particular ladder. Werner will not sell them the ladder for what Lowe’s sells it for. Not a lot of companies would take the time like Black Bear Ladder. I will definitely be revisiting them when I have future needs.

They have a nice store front with a good inventory and friendly and helpful staff. I went there looking to order an extension ladder. I like to support local business but the price I was quoted for the ladder was 300$ more than what I can get the EXACT same ladder for at Lowe’s. Not sure what factors go into their pricing but I can’t pay that much more to support local business.
