Excellent customer service... you'll speak to someone within a minute of entering the store. Good products. Reasonable prices. Decent selection without being in an airport hanger. Possible advice on a project. 5 stars.

Best Hardware around especially being 4 miles from my house.Well stocked and very clean. Every time I’ve went there they always had what I needed. Can somethings be more then your big box stores yes and big box stores buy in bulk from companies and companies like Dewalt Milwaukee make products specifically for them so yes it’s gonna be cheaper not always better and on some things your also paying for convenience and a family owned business which I have no problem doing that especially when they know what you need. If there busy at times yes your gonna have to wait your turn but you will get help and good help at that I’ve went thru that a few times going in myself but well worth it. Cashiers are quick even if there’s a line and when it gets long they will get someone to help. Remember people this isn’t a big box store with hundreds of employees it’s a small hardware with 6-10 employees working there at one time. Again I love this hardware, staff, products they carry, prices are good and very good knowledge when you need something and I’d say better knowledge then most of the ppl at the big box stores. As always, I was greeted by a very friendly clerk. Needed a few garden supplies and found the items quickly. Also remembered string for my trimmer and located it quickly. Was asked if there was anything else I needed, or help finding something. Was good to go. Very quick and friendly checkout. Love this store!!

Customer service is excellent. You are usually greeted at door by cashier unless they are ringing someone out, but even then they usually say hello.

As soon as a worker in the store sees you, they ask if you need help and are quick to do so, unless you say you are all set then they leave you alone until you do.

Prices "may" be slightly higher but beats driving across town to a big box store and the service gets you in and out quickly.

Love this place! Got loaded up with cool free stuff today for stopping by on their 16 year anniversary party! Thanks again, you guys are the best!

Walk in and ask for Archie. Over the years, he has bailed me out of more situations than I can remember. I'm certain he has kept me from burning both my house and barn to the ground by recommending pointers to the various home projects I attempt.

This is an excellent community resource. The addition of Stihl products has turned this place into my favorite toy store.

They also offer UPS Shipping! This is my go to place.

This place is awesome! The employees are so helpful and sweet. I've been helped a few times by both Art and Joel and I adore them! Very nice guys. And in case people dont know, I just found out that they rent banquet tables, chairs and bounce houses! Awesome to have a local place to get party supplies and for a very affordable price.

The most helpful hardware in the area if you need it and if not they let you browse. Excited they carry Stihl products. I highly recommend Gilbert’s to everyone and they are always my first stop. Shop local and support our neighbors.

Gilberts Hardware is a godsend in Dewitt. I prefer shopping at Gilberts than the big box stores. Their employees are super helpful. If you tell them what you need, they will help you find it. They know that store like the back of their hand. I've never had a bad experience shopping at Gilberts and I've been doing business with them for the better part of 5 years now.

I like this place due to being an authorized UPS shipper. The store also carries Yeti brand items which I also like. The selection of hardware goods and outdoor work related items is also pretty vast. Convenient location.

Great hometown hardware store. Arch and Tyler are very knowledgeable about their store and the whole staff is attentive and helpful. Selection is limited but I always give them first crack at my business so I won't have to run all the way to HD or Lowes. They also have a wide ranging rental service.

I love shopping local and Gilbert's is very convenient. They almost always have the items I need in a pinch to complete a project. The knowledgeable staff is a big help in solving some of my unusual challenges.

Helpful & knowledgeable folks there, unlike the big box stores. But also unlike the big box stores, they don't always have what you need... a trade off, but they are always my first option.

Looked everywhere in st johns for a 9/16 bolt with no luck. Gilbert's had a few to choose from and the staff knew right where it was. Thanks to them I was able to get my project done that day. Thanks so much

THEY HAVE WHAT YOU NEED AND KNOW WHERE IT IS LOCATED. THE STAFF IS GREAT, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND FRIENDLY. YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT.

Great local hardware store that has at least one of everything. STIHL distributor, fair prices, and they have a great staff who are always respectful and highly knowledgeable.
