El Tequila Mexican Restaurant

A wonderful family ran restaurant! I've eaten there several times and the food is always exceptional. Great service and always very friendly. Would recommend to anyone.

Got there after cycling 60 miles. Wow was the food good, the service was great. They give you chips and salsa while you wait for the food which was also out very quickly. The portion sizes are excellent and the price was inexpensive. I would definitely go there again if I could.

The atmosphere, staff, and food were great in my opinion! My brother and friend had just got done hiking and we showed up at around 8:30pm about 30 minutes before they were supposed to close, and they were still glad to seat us and were very friendly. They had some neat decorations around the restaurant to coincide with the Mexican theme as well, along with an impressive menu variety! Overall, an excellent place for a sit-down restaurant in a small town! :)

Ate here yesterday and it was so good!! Great service and the food was delicious!! So awesome to have this Restaurant so close and in a small town! Definitely worth trying out if you've never been! I know I'm going back for sure!

We stopped in after hiking at nearby Ferne Clyffe. It was about 2:00 PM on a weekday so there were no other customers and we weren't sure what to expect. The restaurant is deceptively large inside with lots of tables and a few booths. We were very surprised at how extensive the menu is -- lots and lots of choices. The waitress brought a basket of chips and salsa for us to munch on while we perused the menu, then took our order, and we were served reasonably quickly. The food was attractively presented and very delicious. Everyone in our group of four was very pleased and I'm glad we discovered this place, which is located just a couple of blocks west of the center of town. Our bill came to about $40 for four people. That was for food only, as we all just had water to drink.

We have dined here several times and the food is always great. We like trying their daily specials (which are usually $1-2 cheaper than normal menu price). WE HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED! Give it a try...I hope you love it as much as we do.

We passed this place a few times during our visit to Goreville. We finally decided to stop and we are so happy we did. There was 4 people in our party and we all totally loved the food. Please visit this place, dont pass it by because it is wonderful. The service was great and the young waiter was very informative about the hot sauces.

Outstanding food. I lived in southern California, austin, and west texas and ate at some of the best taco trucks, restaurants. Goreville, Illinois has a place to get some great Hispanic food. I'm thrilled. Food portions are great as well. Highly recommend.

There were 8 of us having a little Christmas get together. Food was great and so was the service. We enjoy going there as a group, and also as individuals.

Great for post hiking food! Guac and salsa so good, as were all the other sauces. Reasonable prices and fast service.
