South Sandusky Camp Ground

Great campground. Full hookups at site 186, with an extra parking space right, on the lake. We were at the end of the road so no neighbors on one side. Quite a steep site to get into but level at the top. We will stay again. Super nice host too.

We had a week here, and it wasn’t long enough! Beautiful campground, friendly staff, large quiet spots, fire pits, picnic tables, and each section of the campground has their own playground. A bit of a walk to the beach, but it wasn’t too bad, and definitely worth it.

Word of warning: The foot/bike path does NOT loop. You will walk and walk and walk some more before you just end up walking away. So, at some point, just turn around. You can be done.

Great campground that is well maintained with park hosts who are friendly, visible and efficient. Sites are large and level with picnic tables, fire rings, lantern posts and parking spaces. There are various types of amenities available from full hook ups to power only and tent camping so be sure to check if the particular site fits your needs. There is a wonderful bike/walking trail, nearby beach area. And visitors center all available to visiting guests. We will definitely return when in the area !!!!

This is probably one of the best spots we have been to. There was so much room, and the deer came out because it was so quiet. Just walk across the yard to fish. This was site 150 and I so recommend.

Campground is great!! Easy access to electricity and bathrooms/showers. We got a spot right on the lake. If you want a good playground, the Pine Tree loop has a nice big one.

Sensational, comfortable campground. Situated on Rand Lake in the woods. all amenities are very clean and you can see that the staff cares about cleanliness. Large and spacious camsites with easy lake access. There is a very nice bike route along the shore. A really campground worth recommending to everyone who likes to rest in silence, in the forest by the lake.

It is a beautiful camp ground. It is full of wild life for your viewing pleasure. I saw several deer, a raccoon, woodpeckers and several other birds and squirrels. It was very peaceful and guest were taking advantage of the walking and bike trail. The restroom was very clean with flushable toilets. That is very important to me and there was several shower stalls. I will be back asap. Dogs are welcome and the picnic areas were clean. I also saw a nice play ground area and a basketball court

Roomy camp sites. Most are full hook up, closer to lake shore they are water/electric only.

Great campground. Clean with full hookups. If you were just needing electricity then 220 pin oak is great (photo with empty spot) $16 per night Fcfs.

Perfect week to camp. very large site headed down to the lake. Plenty of shade.

Beautifully peaceful campgrounds. Large campsites , some have full hook ups. A definite plus if staying more than a weekend! Fishing was good! We were visited by deer, turkeys and squirrels. The woods behind th e camper echoed with birdsong. Every campground has a playground with a different climbing apparatus. There are 2 swimming beaches within Rend Lake, a nice visitor center and plenty of hiking.

My buddies and I love to go camping here. Plenty of spots to throw in a line, other campers always seem respectful of you, and your site. Great place to take the family!

I love camping at south Sandusky campground. They have really nice sites there with lots of room and some have privacy. The bathrooms are decent and was always clean while there. We come here every year.

One of our favorites! Kayaking, biking, lots to do in the area. Camping here is 5 star

It was a great clean campground on Memorial Day weekend! Only had electric hookup but no issues from us. Just wished we had a boat to enjoy the water.

Very nice campground. Sites are paved and concrete pads next to it. Shower house/bathroom are clean and updated. Awesome paved 20 mile bike walking path.

Campground is pristine as always, staff and hosts are the friendliest and are very informative of the area as well. Absolutely my family's favorite campgrounds!!

Nice lots with fire pits and a grate for grilling, close to the lake with lots of shade.
