One of the most beautiful sites at Rend Lake, always so well maintained by the stewards of the lake the US Army Corps. A true gem.

Our favorite campground in Illinois, everything in clean and well maintained, the tent sites (especially T-14 and T-08) are awesome. We love the lake and bike path.

My husband and I are here for about 2 weeks and we have had nothing but friendly and outstanding service on the part of the camp host and Park rangers. People are very amicable and they tend to stay themselves. With this in mind you still have to use a little bit of caution especially at night and make sure you have your flashlights readily available for when you need to walk further away from your campsite to either use a shower or bathroom stall when the Sun goes down. You can see plenty of deer in and around the campgrounds and they are a sight to see; make sure you practice safe driving. Also keep your food secure and put away at night, including bagged and food in containers as the night scavengers (aka raccoons) like to come out and wreak havoc! Other than that, enjoy your time.

This is our third year of staying here for the Rend Lake S3DA Archery Nationals. We love this place! The restrooms are very well kept, the sites are HUGE, the lake is beautiful, the playgrounds are awesome, and the wildlife is everywhere. We will return again and again.

1st camping experience and i don't think it could have been much better! SUPER clean, and well kept. Grass was freshly mowed. Showers/bathrooms were nearby and clean. We had a walkout tent site that was ~150' to our vehicle. There is plenty to do here: Kayaking, swimming in certain places, bike paths, mountain bike trails, hiking, archery range, etc. Plenty of tall mature trees to keep the sun off. Around 10pm it was nice and quiet with beautiful skies. Couple of small towns nearby for supply runs and visiting. We are already planning our next visit here. Very family and pet friendly place.

Been coming here all my life, I’m 48 now, miss the days of camping for a week with my Aunt and Uncle,Cousins. All day with them, fishing, talking. Man if I could go back in time and just watch it all over it would make me a happy person. Rend Lake is just the place to make these memories with your family.

Very clean and well kept grounds. State a few days in October. They inforce the rules so keep dogs on a leash and park where you are supposed too. That was one of the best parts. The bike trail is a nice hard surface path.

This is our second time staying at this campground and we love it. Its clean, well maintained, and quiet (this weekend). We love that the beach is an easy 15ish min drive. The bike trails were great and well maintained. It is hilly which can make pulling a camper a bit difficult and not all the spaces are level; making set up difficult. Over all we like this campground.

This was our 4th stay here for ten days and it was great! Beautiful trees and abundant wildlife, especially deer of all ages. Our dog was "skunked" on two previous trips, so beware of those stinky critters for your fur babies. Lots of hiking and just enjoying nature.

We had #81 this visit and it was good. Fairly level and good view of Rend Lake. Our friends were in #82 had a great lake view, but site was absurdly unlevel. They had to purchase a fence post to prop under the tongue of the trailer and park diagonally. Spaces are well spaced and most had cement pads. They park is close to Benton for all your shopping needs. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Clean, few mosquitoes, nice large campsites. Full service, amazing in a Corps of Eng. Campground. RV pads very long, parking spacious at the campsite. Showers old but clean. No rods or hand holds for those with disabilities, not enough room for wheelchairs and only 2 showers. Not a problem for me, but a consideration for others. I enjoyed the experience and will be back again,
