The Wacky Shrimp

Funky place with great food! Oysters were perfectly cooked and the fried pickles were great. Super crispy fries.

Loved the broiled shrimp wrap. Kids loved the fish and shrimp kids meals. Fried pickles were amazing. Some of the best customer service I've ever had in my lifetime!

The food was pretty good. The portions were adequate (I had an order w/'double' hush puppies); and the atmosphere was just ok. The staff members were very friendly. I would recommend it.

Although not 'on the way' where we live, we go as often as possible. The food is always great. Keep saying that we will try other items but the shrimp is so good. Next time :) Nice people. They have even cooked the shrimp special for our son that has dietary restrictions. (Really would like to see baked sweet potatoes on menu)

WOW, these portion sizes are amazing...great amount of food for the price. Excellent flavor! Fried pickle side is as big as many restaurants give for an app. Fries are the batter-dipped ones, very good. So glad we happened across them! Really nice staff.

We came for the burger and after having a sweet conversation with a regular customer, we decided to get both the burger and the shrimp. Shrimp was definitely the favorite. Food was great, service was exceptional. 5 stars from me and the hubs ❤

I absolutely love this place! Every time we come, it is amazing! The staff is always super friendly even when I came in really late one night and was going to leave. They made me stay and told me to take as much time and enjoy my meal 💕 Hands-down this is one of my favorite places to eat! The shrimp are always cooked perfectly and everything is served hot and fresh! Make sure you get extra wacky sauce because it is amazing!

Delicious all over. Great portions. Super customer service. Clean, fresh, tasty, has outside seating. A definitely worth the travel spot for us.

This was first time in and was very surprised. The place was very clean, service was good. I ordered a fish and shrimp plate with Cole slaw, potato salad, hushpuppys. Got the fish grilled and shrimp fried. Fish was great and shrimp fried perfectly, light golden perfect taste, no oily, no greasy. They had "wacky" sauce and it was amazing. The tartar sauce was also outstanding. This was a fast food place that made it right. I watched drive thru times and they were about 30 seconds. Awesome job. I asked how if was the only one and how long it had been open. Yes was only one and open 8 years. These owners need open more locations. This was the best quick service seafood restaurant ever.

I was definitely not expecting the amount and size of the food that we got especially for the amazing price. The jumbo fried shrimp were so big I could only eat 5 of them and my daughter got so many popcorn shrimp she still had loads left. The service is as amazing as the food. I couldn't get a picture of my husband's cheeseburger because he ate it all, but it was huge. We'll definitely be coming back.

I had been hearing about the place for a while and wanting to try it. But for whatever reason, I just kept passing over it. That all ended yesterday. I will no longer pass this place up!
I’ve had a hankering for a good cheeseburger lately. I had the day off yesterday and remember someone saying that the Wacky Shrimp had delicious burgers. Seemed odd to me.. But I decided to give it a whirl.
I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and a side of hushpuppies. I was alone and opted to dine in. The girls working were super friendly and everything inside was nice and clean.
When the cheeseburger came out, I was kind of surprised at how big it was! The cheeseburger itself was fantastic! Two smaller patties smothered in cheese on a sweet and soft bun. It hit the spot! But what is a good cheeseburger without a good side of fries? Oh man! The fries were fantastic! They were crispy and seasoned perfectly! The hushpuppies were good too. I was really happy with my lunch! When I left- I thought “ if the burgers are this good- I wonder how the seafood is?!”

That’s not the end folks. When the wife called that evening and said she was in the mood for a burger for dinner- I told her to bring home take out from The Wacky Shrimp. Why not?! Only this time- I ordered the fried Fish and Popcorn Shrimp combo. The breading was seasoned perfectly and both the fish and the shrimp tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. She agreed with me as well- the burger was great! My picky kids also cleaned their plates in record time!
I wish I would have tried this place sooner! But one thing is for sure- I definitely won’t pass over it again! Good stuff!

Family friendly casual order and sit at the table eating. Everything is made from scratch from what I understand the coleslaw potato salad and beans are just amazing I had there shrimp and fish grilled versus fried and it's just outstanding even their fried food taste fresh and good. It is just about the only place I've eaten while here on work assignment I don't get sick of it. The prices are extremely reasonable, $16 for a large grilled shrimp meal which comes with two sides hushpuppies and of course sauce. I think discovering this place was a little gem in my week. I also discovered on my fourth visit that there is a drive-thru.

We each got a half shrimp and fish meal. We loved it. Huge shrimp..we chose fried but grilled is also available. We liked the fried pickles but did not care for the potato salad. Each plate was 11 each..my wife and I could have easily shared one.

This place did not disappoint. The jumbo shrimp meal and fish burger were delicious! Everything was so fresh and the portions were generous. The fried items were crisp and not greasy. We would definitely return and recommend.

First time here and the service and food were fabulous. I can't say enough good about this location! Great job!

The food was hot and fresh!! Customer service is always top notch! My favorite is the cheeseburger and the popcorn shrimp. You get your money's worth here!

We are here from North Carolina working with The Red Cross for Hurricane Sally. We accidentally found The Wacky Shrimp. So glad!!! Everything they served was delicious. We are southern cole sole snobs and their cole slaw is yummy!!!!

I pretty much always go through the drive through. Service is ALWAYS fantastic and the employees always have a smile and the utmost courtesy. Food is great!

Great food and excellent service. Atmosphere is one step above Taco Bell but I eat here frequently
