Marion Carnegie Library

Historical Library with a beautiful Architectural Exterior. I have visited 3 floors in this library. There is a children's area downstairs and a teen section on the upper floor. There are computers available for the public to use for members and guests. I am always greeted with a smile and the associates are patient and knowledgeable. If you are new to the area this would be a good place to start your search for things to do in Southern Illinois.
Some other nice amenities are free wi-fi, printing at 10 cents a page for black and white pages, two quiet rooms for study and a small section of Williamson County archives.

This is the best library we have ever been too. It is so clean and organized. They have a huge selection of books, movies, and games. They also have plenty of activities for kids going on all the time. The team members here are also super nice and helpful! We look forward to our visit here and try to visit weekly.

The Marion Library is open to everyone.

The Children's department has a new children room with lots of toys and books. Storybook hour on Wednesdays morning are great, Shelley, the story reader will leave you with a smile on your face.

The Young Adult's department is a wonderland for the youth, Mandee, the coordinatorcomes up with some of the best crafts and projects.

The Adult department will keep readers on their feet. Kelly makes sure that she keeps up with the lastest reading materials. And if we don't have it in when it is requested, she will go out of way to get it.

The Project Next Generation program that is run by Henry is a program that teaches teen about robotics, media, and many other great programs.

So, when you get a chance stop on by. We will love to see you and your family.

an awesome library with awesome staff. the workers are all really nice. the workers in the teen room really care about the teens and try to help them out as much at they can. theres a great selection of books.

Great selections and also has internet access. the membership is free if you live in Marion. And if they do not have what you are looking for in terms if books they will either order it, or transfer it from another location from within their network

Even if your kiddos are not readers check out the Marion library! They have al lot of programs and activities for the kiddos other than books!
