Daphne History Museum

Interesting little museum. Artifacts were nicely displayed. Docent was ready to answer any questions.

A well-curated and maintained homage to the deep, rich history of Daphne! You could spend a good bit of time reading all of the history and listening to stories, even though the space itself isn't huge. A must-visit if you're nearby! This little church has been so well-renovated, and I love seeing the rotations of exhibits throughout the year when we visit.

Great little museum. Covers history of the area. Beautiful hand carved bugs are on display. Well worth the time.

Cubscouts toured the museum and learned about their past and saw artifacts that were found throughout Baldwin County! The curators are very knowledgeable and shared their own experiences of growing up here with my scouts ! They take you back in time when Union Soldiers slept here and up to the present ! We are scheduled to go again looking forward to it!

Love the hand carved items that was displayed ...were beyond belief that someone carved them ... AMAZING. Loved the family photos on display & the stories behind them.

Very impressive find. Knowledgeable staff. My advice, go see this for a historical look into Daphne's past.

If you are fortunate the local historian will be on site; delightful small museum and certainly worth a visit! Weekends only though.

took the patents here to check out some good 'ol Daphne History. It was pretty neat. The parents really enjoyed it though (they are out of town Methodists, so the church stuff was a big deal for them to see. They loved the super, crazy old Bible that was on display, they totally touched it and I'm preeeettyyy sure they weren't supposed too, lol! Good examples, they are, ha!!) Saw some interesting Daphne history pics and goodies from the past. Worth a visit, plus, I mean, you can't beat FREE!

Great little gem of a local history museum. Being from out of town, we learned what a (Mobile bay) jubilee is and why Daphne is the Jubilee city. Learned about their unfortunately discontinued May day celebration and about may of the local characters who inhabited and settled the town. Check the hours, because although it is free, hours and days of operation are limited due to a volunteer staff.
