Cajun Block

Where to begin! Husband and I ordered the Combo Plate for 2 and the appetizer, "Cajun Egg Rolls". The fried catfish was superb, the fried shrimp was superb, the fried chicken was perfectly cooked, the dirty rice was excellent and the coleslaw is worth every bite you can get. There are some fries that the food rests on, definitely not to many. Not one item was greasy, over/under cooked, all perfect! We are so delighted with this establishment that we intend to bring our kids, first chance we get. Anxious to try other dishes! If your in the Quinlan area this is a must stop place. Simple surroundings with delightful attendants and excellent food. Fast service! I honestly had nothing but a wonderful experience here.

Back again, doesn’t seem I can get enough - giggle when you find that “honey-hole” place go back - today’s fare was the shrimp po-boy with you guessed my passion ‘sweet tater fries’ - a must do with a bowl of gumbo.

Great customer service, owner has a great attitude. Store is clean and furniture is nice. Shrimp is delicious! Highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious !! This will be my new go to place! The spices were perfect and the crawfish and shrimp were cooked perfectly.

I got the catfish nugget dinner and drove all the way back to Little Elm. It was 4 hrs after it was cooked that I ate it. I didn't even heat it up.......that was some of the very best food I've had in years. REALLY FINE!!
The catfish was full of flavor...cooked perfectly and spicy!!! I loved it. The coleslaw was fresh and very full of flavor and crunch. I will definitely be back and try ALL of your dishes. Your restaurant should have a line around the block. I was literally blown away!

Great Cajun Food at a great price. Without having to drive to New Orleans. Why is this place not sold out every night?

I eat the catfish combo when I stop by here. And it is fabulous. It has two big pieces of fried catfish and comes with two sides. I always get French fries and fried okra. And both are good also. But they have several sides to choose from. I have not tried any other food from here. But I am confident since the fish is so good. The rest has to be. It is not made till you order at the window. So it is steaming hot when you get the food. You can call ahead also. The employees are super nice and very friendly.

Went to lunch with my dad today. We decided to try out Cajun Block. The food was really great! I had there Shrimp Po Boy sandwich and I got a cup of gumbo. Everything thing was very decent! The staff is really friendly. Our food was prepared quickly and it all tasted great. They have a great variety of Cajun styled food. I will be definitely be going back to try some of their other items. They also have free dessert with your meal going on right now. The funnel cake fries are really good!

Family owned and operated! I love it. Literally, best catfish around! Owner and his son are great individuals, willing to get to know each person who comes in, and make the experience more personal. My family and I usually get any combo order; however, Cajun Block offers all you can eat catfish from 5 pm- 7 pm.

We got the fried shrimp and it was excellent. Full of flavor and served HOT!!! Our server John at the drive-up window was excellent! Everything we needed was in the bag. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the slaw was too dry for our tastes. What things on your menu are 100% sugar-free? A family member is diabetic.

Second visit. Both times, the food has been great. People may think it is easy to fry catfish but not true. These obviously know what they're doing. But the service is outstanding. First visit was just after they moved to take out only. Excellent service. This latest visit we phoned in an order not realizing they were closing in 30 minutes. We got there just at 7 but they didn't seemed concerned at all. Highly recommend giving a shot especially if you like cajun food,

We went a week ago and the service outstanding, the food very tasty and overall a wonderful experience! I had the blackened shrimp over dirty rice! Yum! I am picky about coleslaw and this had the right amount of dressing. Hate when it is swimming in dressing and it was not super sweet. Husband had fried shrimp and catfish which he said was very good. Funnel cake fries make a perfect dessert..could use a little sprinkle of cinnamon!!

We got the boiled crawfish and shrimp boil and it was really good. We had to get it to go and it was made fresh and it was a great first experience. It was a mix of great flavors and the sausage was really good, the potatoes were soft with good flavor, and the corn was good mixed with all the flavors in the bag. Definitely will be back to try other menu options.

My wife and I went here yesterday for lunch. Seeing that they had a drive-thru window worried us that this was just going to be a Long John Silver's. However, we took a risk and went inside. We ordered the Lunch for 2 Special. I think it was about $21 and came with drinks. The employees were very personable, and you could tell that they care about their restaurant. The food came pretty quick. The catfish, shrimp, hushpuppies, french fries, corn nuggets, and dirty rice were plentiful! I can eat a lot, but I wasn't even able to finish my food. The catfish was the best part of the combo. The food was not the best fried food I've ever had, but it was excellent for the price! The dining area and bathroom were very clean, and the employees (and I think owner) came to check on us a couple times. I wish the exterior was more inviting, because this place was great! We'll definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing food! The fish bites were perfectly seasoned and crunchy. I also had the shrimp po boy. Nice size sandwich extremely tasty with fries and a drink. Don’t forget to ask for the creole mustard!!!

I have been to Cajun Block several times, and it has been a welcomed change from a lunch of burgers or burritos. The food is consistently fresh and authentic. Today we tried the drive up and had the same pleasant experience. The waiter was polite and conversational, and the food was delicious. They even accommodated my husband’s dietary restrictions. I highly recommend it!

Cajun Block is awesome. Glad that we stopped in to give it a try. I had the catfish filets and shrimp combo and my daughter had the boiled shrimp bag. Both were awesome. More food than we could eat. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend that you give it a try as soon as you can. 💕

I had no idea what to expect but I did not expect it to be so good and fresh. Everything was hot and cooked just right, like it should be. The catfish and shrimp were so meaty and tender, it melted in your mouth. The gumbo had such an amazing flavor to it, I would've had 2 bowls if I didnt get so full. 10/10 would recommend to anyone passing by and are in the mood for some seafood.

This is my second time eating here, and they are fast becoming a local favorite. This place has the best catfish around, and being a midwesterner, we know our catfish!! The funnel fries are a fun little dessert and quite tasty! We will he back soon. Come try it!!

Place is clean staff is great and food was cooked to order. Had the shrimp and catfish basket. Shrimp was large and so was the catfish. Crispy yet juicy and piping hot. Prices are reasonable. Guy thanked me by name when I walked out.
