Alief Baptist Church At Katy

Sunday School starts at 9:30am and service starts at 10am, if you're looking to attend like I was 3 weeks ago. Everyone is so warm and welcoming, I quickly felt at home. Where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty! I felt free to worship, free to stand in agreement and free praise! <3

Our First visit and I enjoyed the sermon. We’ve been looking for a church home since we moved to Katy 7 months ago. God finally led us to Alief Baptist Church in Katy. The preacher had great energy and spiritual filled. He talked about Glorifying God! What Idol Do you Worship on Sunday? Jude 24. I needed to hear this today.

If you want to really hear the word from God this is the place to go. Our Pastor(Rev.Donald G. Burgs Jr.) is a godsend person. He will tell you what thus said the Lord. Services start at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Stop by for Easter Sunday.

Excellent place to worship

Pastor and Lady Burgs are wonderful! You will definitely receive the word when you come here. However if your like me you will receive the coldest welcome by the women of the church (except for a very small handful). Even some of the guys acting as if they're better than you. Some of the most hateful , stuck up , and hella condescending women I've ever come across to so call themselves Christians lol. Very trifling. You speak and they look the other way or roll their lovely eyes at you. It was like being back in high school again with the certain cliques that's within the church. Especially with young women my age it always felt like a competition (Btw Pamela Kay doesn't compete with anyone. Ever. Period. ) My mom always taught me "what can you do if someone is prettier than you?" Nothing. Personality and character goes a long way. I see some never got that very wise and accurate advice.... Which is very unfortunate. We're supposed to be sisters in Christ. Yet the women (a nicer term for what I wanna say) treated me like I'm a total outcast.
Pastor and all of the reverends however are the best! This was my very first church and unfortunately my first experience within a church. Though I miss Alief dearly I definitely won't be back. Pastor Burgs church in Pearland is the complete opposite. They are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet! You definitely feel like your at home at the Pearland church. Katy location...not so much. All I can say for most of the women at Katy and who were at the Katy location.....Hell isn't empty :-). Just know the Lord has seen how you've treated people and made them feel.

I personally is looking for a church in the Katy area, but I am looking for a teaching pastor. A pastor that is preaching and teaching from the Bible only. I didn't receive that at this location.
