Great facilities. Great views. Great staff.

Campsites have three walked bunkhouses with electricity and flush toilets nearby. Hot showers available.

Main dining hall is air conditioned and has a large pavilion so you can have a large campfire even when it rains.

The views of lake Murray are amazing, especially from the main campfire area and the chapel area.

Staff are helpful and very friendly.

Great place to camp. My boyscout loves camping here. They have done a ton of new updates since we started going and they all look amazing. They are keeping up with maintenance all over the place. Keep up the great work!!!!

Scout Camping at its finest! Beautiful place, well kept & friendly staff!! My grandson had a blast there for a week at summer camp. If you have a Scout I highly recommend sending them here! Ya its a pretty penny in tight times, but so very worth it teaching our children things we can not. They learn to work as a team with life skills that will help them navigate life. 10 stars!!

Went during halloween and had a blast with my troop, they had groups of actors rotate around camp during the night dressed up as zombies. The actors were very energetic and lively but still knew when to stop, the entire weekend the counselors committed to their roles and dressed up as zombie operators, even the schedule sheet we were given was written as a 'secret zombie operation'. Would definitely go again.

I'm a former Barstow staff member as well as a former troop official who camped here and at other regional BSA facilities (and am familiar with others because our boys camped there). This is one of the best in the Southeast. Indian Waters Council has put a lot of effort and $$ into this camp (as have numerous volunteer crews), and has enlarged and refined many of the facilities. There will always be a few "rough" things (it is a camp, after all), but for a camp close to an urban area with great lakefront access, it has few rivals. It's worth your while to check out.

Best place in SC for camping on any level. They have primitive, cabins, Nestled on beautiful lake Murray sc, you get fishing hiking well maintained trails through a cool forest. If boating is your game then your at the right spot, the camp Rangers are husband and wife and they live on sight. They keep the campground spotless too.

This was out first time camping at Barstow, and the experience was spectacular for many reasons! I was able to witness as history was made;⚜🌠⚜ the site has been family friendly for as long as I can remember, but this was the first time our daughters were able to participate in the Webelo Woods weekend as Webelos and Arrow of Lighters!!!🌟 My son had a blast, and I don't want to dismiss this tradition of transition for the countless scouts who have experienced this right of passage because they all had a blast!I was amazed to see these Cubs begin to grasp what will be expected of them as Scouts, and they all rose to the challenge and made friendships that will forever change them for the better!🌟The leaders and scouts who made this possible for my son and daughter are inspirational and the epitomize the components which make up the Scout Law! ⚜Thank you Camp Barstow🌟Troop 312 🌟Troop 95🌟Troop 410🌟Troop 48🌟Troop 521🌟 and Indian Waters Council for making this weekend possible!!! ⚜🇺🇸⚜

Amazing BSA camp ground, phenomenal staff, great Scouts and families, lots of fun!

This place is so great. I had so much fun here even though I was on high adventure. The food was great. The staff were fun and I had a great time
