A beautiful park, less than 5 minutes away from my college apartment. There’s a nice bridge you can walk over, to a path that is about a mile long. Some educational signs about the area, including where “Cullowhee” comes from and a local hero, are spread around the park. Taking a leisurely walk down the path and back takes us about an hour. The river is beautiful, and sometimes, wildlife can be seen. The path is shaded nicely by the trees. A great place to walk and jog.

Really enjoyed this roadside park. My wife was able to take a stroll on the two mile round trip trail while I took a few cast 🎣 into the flowing waters just below the arched 🌉. I think she got more out of the park than I got from the river? No the less a very enjoyable greenway. Come see for yourself. Bring a lunch there are tables and 🚻 plus handicap ♿ parking and paved foot trail.

Great level path that is wide and easy. Great for all ages. It is wheel chair accessable and they do a good job of keeping path clean. Awesome for dog walking and little kids. Kid friendly bike park is awesome. The bike park is about a half mile down the trail and includes sitting pavilion and small exercise park.

This place is amazing. A great addition to the already great outdoor scene in the Cullowhee / Sylva area.
The trail is 1 mile long, 2 total miles when you include the walk back. It’s wide and paved so there is plenty of room for walkers and bikers. It’s perfectly placed alongside the river for excellent views. The trail is very shaded by the trees to keep you cool on a hot summer day. It’s generally flat and is a very easy walk. I would assume anyone could easily complete it.
There was also a really cool mini biking trail halfway through the trail. It looks like a great place to learn the basics of mountain biking.
There is also a nice paved boat ramp for easy river access. There were many people taking advantage of this during my visit.

Such a nice little path! It is paved and easy to walk (not strenuous). It is right by the Tuckasegee River which is so beautiful.

Great 1 mile long paved Greenway in Jackson county. Beautiful bridge crosses the river and follows along the Tuckasegee behind the college. There is a small dirt track for mountain biking. Several benches along the way. Perfect for a afternoon stroll.

Great place for a morning stroll. Easy 2 mile round trip on blacktop. Some gentle up hill. Mostly shaded so nice even on hot day. Great for dog walking, walking, jogging and even biking. Includes a bike riding area for kids. Nice view of river.

Love the Greenway. It's beautiful and well kept. We go multiple days a week and take our child in her stroller. Easy to walk, we usually do 2-4 miles. One time all the way down is a mile. Very pretty and I hope they will one day add more lighting for evening walks. Ample parking and right by the river. People are always kind and there is even wildlife to see.

Beautiful Greenway!

Parking is available on both sides of the bridge. Once you go over the bridge and make your way down the ramps... Your Greenway experience begins.

This Greenway is a 2 mile down and back wide paved route. 1 mile down and one Mile back. Mile markers are established every 1/4 mile along the way. The Greenway is surrounded by beauty and serenity. Can be highly trafficked by locals with pets but everyone there has been super friendly.

Highly recommended for walkers, short distance runners, picnic days and even fishers!

Very nice walking trail and if you like just sitting around there's little spots you can wander off and have a sit.

Great place to walk with shade covered paths and a great view of the river along a groomed, gravel path with gentle slopes and benches should you need a rest or just want to sit and talk. I looks like they’re building a bike path for kids that will be loss of fun. Having a bathroom in the parking lot is a nice bonus. We’ll definitely be stopping in again.
