Magee General Hospital: Emergency Room

I went here having rough breathing issues and when I finally did get to see the dr on duty that night he was extremely rude and I only seen him for maybe 10 seconds tops! All he asked was what was going on I told him and that was all I seen of him! Never got a diagnosis or anything whatsoever from him that was literally all I seen of him. The nurse on duty was the only one who cared at all! Then get hit with a 1600 bill when absolutely nothing was done to figure out what was going on with me or even given a diagnosis of what may be wrong! Highly recommend staying away from this place save yourself the time and go to Hattiesburg or Jackson where you may actually get help!!

I went here having extreme pain in my abdomen and the first thing they told me was we can’t treat you. You have to go to your OBGYN I’m 13 hours away from home due to me being military. I asked what they could do and they said nothing being very unprofessional and then on top me rude to me and my husband the whole time so I have to go to the next er after almost two hours of being in pain in the er. I highly recommend not coming to this er!!!!

They don't have friendly staff.. most are rude and doctors here aren't or the ones I've seen knowledgeable.. my son had severe strep throat and they said he just had a headache even though he had a high fever.. took him to children hospital, if we had waited he might have stopped breathing his throat was so
