Mize Hamburger House

I don't give many places 5 stars. They make the best hamburgers and there sweet tea is very good. The lady said they still boil their tea.

If you want a great burger and good service you might wanna stop by and give the nice women behind the counter your order and sit down and enjoy! I suggest the Bacon chilli cheeseburger and a side of onion rings! You might want to bring a bib and maybe some plastic gloves cause it will get messy it's a delicious site to see!

Not my 1st nor last trip to this local culinary landmark in Mize, Mississippi... The service is always good and the food is always great.

ALWAYS STOP TO GET LARGE ORDER OF SWEET POTATO FRIES TOO BOTH EAT AND TAKE FOR LATER . ALWAYS GREAT SERVICE FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE .

Or if you're there and closed then just across hwy is another family owned and run restaurant with lunchtime specials.

The food is great and the prices are fair. There isn't much room because the place is tiny, but it's a great little diner. Make sure you try the onion rings and their house sauce.

Real food cooked by real people. Great burger and staff. Love the old school diner feel. I make this trip pretty regular and I'll be stopping here from now on.

It seems like this place gets better eveytime I dine here. Got the double cheese burger and chili cheese tots. Absolutely one if the best burgers anywhere and I eat a lot of burgers. Tots were great as well. The atmosphere is cool and laid back, it's clean and the staff is super nice and attentive. Just a warning tho. The sweet tea is really sweet but it is good. Ask for a ½&½ if you like a less sweet version.

We got Bacon hamburger & onion rings!! Delicious real homemade patty cooked right in front of you. Friendly staff.

It took a little longer to be served then you would expect , but then again you're not at McDonald's. The burger was ( real meat) excellent. I would slap my grandmother if she tried to take one of my onion rings.. it's a small little place. Everyone seemed to know everyone in the restaurant. Clean and neat need I say more 😉

On a motorcycle vacation to the Smokies. A group of us stumbled on this place at lunchtime. The food was excellent. But the service was 5 stars. Kept checking on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. Treated us like family. We gave the lady who runs the place the nickname “ Miss Mississippi “ because of her hospitality. we all agreed we’ll ride back there one day just to have lunch. Do yourself a favor. Stop eat and soak up some good southern hospitality.

This place is great! I have been going here off and on for about 50 years. It has consistently been good. Sometimes they may be a little busy... but it's because ... they're great! There is a picture on the wall of a waitress that was taken when I was a little boy. She's still there! (as a manager/owner???) Now that's consistency!

I have no idea how long this shack looking business has been there but I know at least 40 years. My husband brought me here in 1974 for the first time . We do not live in Ms so our visit s are not frequent. We went July 30 an the burgers were still good. If you want an old time burger and great onion rings stop in. You can have grilled or fresh onion on your burger pluS lettuce an a great tomato. Trust me it is a very juicy burger. There are other items on the menu but we always get the burgers to go an stop at veggie stand across the street for a Mize watermelon an tomatoes should we be in that area. If we lived closer I’d go there more often. Prices very reasonable.
