This carousel 🎠 was originally built in 1894, by a man in Pennsylvania. Beautifully restored and works like a charm!! We rode it several times. Thank you to the 2 kind, young ladies working in the building without AC in Mississippi, in late summer. Bless them for showing up I appreciate you. They are only open on Saturdays and the cost is $1 per person and you can prepay for as many rides as you want. An awesome treat!

Had our son's birthday party here a few weeks ago and was really impressed! The staff was so friendly and helpful and the kids were able to ride the carousel more than once. They provided me with an itinerary of sorts so I was able to keep everything running smoothly and on time, which was super helpful! There's plenty of room to set up and decorate and still have ample space for the kids to run and play. The carousel goes a little faster than I remember, but the kids didn't seem to mind!

On our way to vacation in Gulf Shores from Missouri, we stopped here so my daughter could ride on the carousel that my brother rode on 36 years ago, when he was just a baby. We were hurrying to get here before they closed, and barely made it by 4:30ish, unfortunately, when we got here tho, the carousel had been broke down for a couple of weeks and won't be up and running for awhile longer. However, the ladies working here are super sweet and friendly, they even let us go inside and take pictures, and my daughter got to sit on several of the different animals, so she still got to have fun. Then as we were leaving, we asked how much the cotton candy was, and they just let us have some, and even gave my daughter some other goodies, so I'm still giving them 5-stars because it's a neat place to see and the ladies working here are excellent.

WOW WOW WOW, Son: 5 Stars! Daughter: 1000 Stars! What a great piece of history captured here! They sure don't build them like they used to! The original gearing of this carousel and the way it completely is suspended is just awesome! When you get on it sways a little because it's all balanced from a center point. The lady has to sit in the middle and work the clutch and hand brake just like the old days! The lights work from the copper rings in the center and wheels that ride around them. The hair in most of the horses is real. The antlers in the dear is real. A MUST stop if you are driving on I-20!

If you haven't been here, you need to come.
Stepping inside, I was hit with the scent of childhood, carefree days and happier times.
We rode the carousel twice!

We thought it would not be open due to the reviews. We were blessed because it was open and we got to ride it. $1.00 a person. Wow. It is really nice and the two ladies working there were super nice.

Took the grandkids on a mystery trip to Meridian. They loved riding the carousel. Was a little warm but that was not their fault. Best value in town - only $1 per ride. They rode it three times. This is a can't miss in Meridian.

The staff is outstanding so nice n attentive to the kids. They had sooo much fun. If you have kids and need an inexpensive way to entertain this is the place.. Snowballs, popcorn, cotton candy ,drinks etc. You can't beat the prices.

Beautiful indoor carousel. Fastest carousel I've ever been on. The park surrounding the carousel building is lovely too! We enjoyed a snowball and walk in the park after our carousel ride; they have snacks at the ticket counter.
