Mississippi Children's Museum - Meridian

Very inexpensive. $10. Small, but very well executed. Things were spread out, so it never seemed like we were crowded. Very nice. Very clean. The outside space was spectacular. So much space to run around. We were traveling through on a roadtrip and this was the PERFECT spot to stop to stretch legs. The staff was very friendly and always active--constantly returning items to shelves or picking up after kids. Inside, my 3yo loved the kitchen and the library and the water tables and outside, the stream where he could stick his feet in the water and send "boats" down stream. We spent about 2 hours there and loved every minute. I'd say the perfect age is 15 months to 10 years old.

Super fun spot to come! We have been trying to come by for months and finally were able to make the 3hr trip and it was worth it. Tons of things to do inside and outside! Really enjoy the creative space it opens up for kiddos of all ages. Daughter loved it and can’t wait to come back!

Really fun, interactive museum. It's geared more toward the 12 and under kiddos than teenagers.

This place was clearly designed by a person who did not have children and who knows never met a parent. You lose your kid in less than 10 seconds. But the kids think it's fine I guess that's ultimately all that counts. The outdoor space is amazing!!!!!

Great. Friendly smiling staff. Very clean. Lots to do inside and outside. Felt safe. Clean bathrooms, including a family room. Lockers. Activities hands on and interactive. The only thing no water fountain that I recall but had vending machines for drinks. Lils loved it. Sand pit that was clean. Beautiful garden. Lots of educational play spaces. Very organized! Cost reasonable. Plenty of free parking. Lots of working hand sanitizer stations too. Bubble station needed more solution. They took care of it quickly. Thank you to all those working there. The wreath station was fun.

Amazing and beautiful experience for the children. They absolutely can spend hours in this place, endless fun. The facility is very clean and constant staff walking around. Just no food or drink down in the play area

Great little place to stop during a long road trip. My kids were thoroughly engaged for a few hours. Best for small kids under 8.

We visited June 2021 for my son’s 4th birthday. We had a blast! So many fun things to do and helping them learn at the same time. He has been begging to go back since then, I wish we lived closer!

The membership is well worth the money!! The events are well-thought out and fun for children. We enjoy ourselves.

A wonderful activity celebrating Valentines Day with family. Great fun and the Children's Museum is great place to go with young grandchildren.

Very excited to see even more quality additions to Meridian's offerings for family-friendly fun! Tons of sensory and tactile play for toddlers but also engaging for pre-teens (and adults) as well. This is a must-see for visitors and well worth the membership for locals. We will be returning often!

My sister and I went here for her children ages 5 and 10. They both had a blast. There is alot of variety of things to do inside as well as outside. There is also educational information for them ❤

Our family has had yearly passes to the Mississippi Children's Museum - Meridian since it opened. They have wonderful educational exhibits which are changed several times each year. The Grands love to go and they learn so much. We appreciate all the work that the staff does to keep everything interesting for all of us. Great job!

The perfect place for little children! Could spend half a day here at least. Getting here when they opened was perfect, and by 10 it was filling up with little children.

LOVED THIS CHILDREN'S MUSEUM. I've been to the Gulfport, New Orleans & Hammond locations but this location in Meridian is a high contender for my new favorite! Very nice staff, clean building, tons of fun activities, full of fun learning and visually it is beautiful. My family is currently misplaced from our home in Louisiana due to Hurricane Ida but I plan to travel the extra distance to visit again!

My grandson at 2 1/2 loved it. Played in every exhibit. Was hard to get him out the door. Great experience for kids.

A wonderful place to take your children. Activities for the Littles to the older children.

We always enjoy our time here. Itis better suited at the time for young children but it is what you make of it as a parent if that makes sense.. it’s still a museum so if you bring older kids maybe have a fun lesson planned.
However, this post is specifically for the spectacular treatment Brandon at the front desk served us with. His kind and enthusiastic demeanor made our day and he was solely the reason we bought a season pass today. Great job Sir! Your kindness was so appreciated!

I purchased a family pass before they even opened and we've definitely gotten our money's worth.

The people at the front desk are so nice and they recognize us now since we go so often.

I only wish they were open later since I work 8-5 😞.
