Mississippi Welcome Center, Lauderdale County

Even with clouds and rain, very pretty location! Plenty of car/truck/RV parking. Restrooms were clean. Vending machines and dog park area. Covered and non covered picnic areas. The dump station is now PERMANENTLY closed! "Be a Beacon of light so others can find their way. Safe and happy travels!" Be'Be'

20240327 I love it when rest stops have a State welcome sign for photo ops. Had a nice conversation with the ladies working there. I told them my story on how I met Miss Mississippi 2007, Kimberly Morgan, a year ago, and had dinner with her and her family last night. My friendship with Kimberly gave me a new Mississippi experience, when though I'm just driving through.

Very helpful staff ready with local recommendations for food and history. Pet area, plenty of parking, very well maintained stop. Clean restrooms.

I found the Mississippi Welcome Center on I-59/I-20 at Lauderdale to be as beautiful as the State. The building itself is large and styled with large columns. The grounds are very nice and well kept. Within the welcome center are several nice displays from the State. The restrooms are clean and security is provided on site. A very nice rest area.

Friendly Staff. Super clean bathrooms. Nice seating area inside the front door. Kid friendly. Pet stop area. Open and public area with security on the premises. Air conditioning inside. Vending machines outside. Very nice stop area for a long trip.

WOW!!! This rest stop is the nicest I’ve ever been into. Being an OTR truck driver I’ve gone into a LOT of rest areas … and just wow! Security, information, lots of grassy areas, loads of truck parking, and a great pick you up when you’ve been on the road a long time. If you want to use the bathroom & feel safe this is the place to go. I didn’t want to leave!!!

This facility was manned by a very polite woman. There was a warm greeting and clean restrooms to help us along our way along interstate 20. There were historical items to view as well as a very beautiful park. Easy to get off and back on the road and appear to be very safe.

This is by far the cleanest and best kept rest area I've ever been in in my travels. Very impressive with the care this place is given. Lots of parking, seating areas. Bathrooms are spotless

Nice and clean place to stuff at a rest stop. The only thing that bothered me was having a man that claims to be a woman walk into the same bathroom I was in like that's just normal. One day this slack security protocols is going to end very badly for an innocent woman when the wrong person decides he can go into the girls bathroom because it's normal to do that now!

It’s so nice to take a rest in neat and green area making our trip more exciting.

This is hands down the best visitors center. The ladies are so nice and welcoming to every visitor that comes thru the door. The restrooms are super clean.

5/23 Good rest area, again
5/18 Cool place, has a free RV dump facility on way out of parking lot. People requesting signatures for the area use, very informative and friendly.

This is a nice and clean place. They have so much information available at this location. They even have coffee for everyone that comes through available for free. They ask that you signed their guest book to show how many people come through to keep the establishment open. So please sign the guestbook if you want this location to stay open. There is a lot in here to look at it as well.

This is a very nice welcome center with clean grounds and nice, southern style decor on the inside. The information center is very clean and well decorated with very friendly staff who are willing to answer any questions you might have. This was a great introduction to Mississippi for our first time there.

Beautiful presentation of Mississippi, they were closed but still were able to use the clean cool restrooms and walk around a bit to stretch. Lots of parking spots and areas to have a picnic.

Great place to stop and walk around with your pet, I didn't need use the facilities tho. But I felt like I was in the wilderness.

Very nice stop for restrooms and vending. Dog walk was just ok but close to parking. Front desk closed on Sunday and Monday but you still have access to restrooms
