Meridian Regional Airport

We landed for fuel on a flight from Oklahoma to Florida and were very pleased with this airport. The tower staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional. He was actually funny as it wasn't a busy day when we landed. The runways are great and large enough for about any plane. We were able to land, get fuel, stretch our legs, spend some time at the FBO and get back in the air pretty quickly. We will definitely put this place on our must stop when flying through the area and would highly recommend them.

I just got used to the hustle and chaos in a regular airport so much that I just love meridian regional. I live closer to Birmingham Intl. but I chose to fly from Meridian because of cheaper price to California. It’s a pretty small airport with plenty of space for seating, a mini museum, and a viewing gallery. As other reviews noted, there’s free slushies and coffee, which is pretty cool. The terminal smells great, well maintained, and more importantly, way more relaxing to board the flight. And the parking is extremely cheap with only about $2 per night. I think I’d always prefer to fly out of Meridian just for the peace of mind and not needing to get to the airport hours in advance. I think you’d be fine if you could arrive just before 15-30 mins for check in and security.

Excellent and efficient service. Free coffee, donuts or slushy while you wait. Some historic photos and objects in the terminal. Only drawback is no restroom inside of security.

I had a fantastic experience with the Meridian Airport. I arrived a bit later than I intended to, cutting it close to the 45 minutes beforehand for baggage check. I missed the baggage check, but the employees there worked with me and arranged a first class seat for the trouble. The dedicated team at MEI and United Airlines went above & beyond to help me.

My first time flying out of Meridian. I’m not sure what I expected, but I was surprised. Out of all the airports I’ve been to, this one by far is the BEST!! The employees were so friendly and helpful. They also offer free coffee and slushes. It’s very small but with very big shoes to fill! I will check flights from here from now on and hopefully I never have to fly from Jackson again!!

Easy IN, easy OUT! Parking is no problem at all. The size and atmosphere of Meridian Regional/Key Field is refreshing in this day and age, and the history displayed throughout the facility is amazing! The staff is welcoming, helpful and friendly. Always a good, no hassle experience!👍

My favorite airport because it's so small and everything is convenient including the Usave rental car company on site. I just walk out the door and my rental car is waiting for me!

My gal friend flew in solo from Oregon to Meridian, via Houston, arriving last Christmas on the very last flight of the evening, for her very 1st trip to Mississippi. Taxis in Meridian are notoriously unreliable, if not impossible to find, at times. But, even though she only held a coach ticket, the airport staff were extremely accommodating, treating her like a vip, not leaving her to wait in the cold alone, until I could arrange a last minute pickup for her, keeping the airport waiting area open, just for her, safe and comfortable, until her ride arrived. Folks, that’s class!! 👏👏 Upon her departure back to Oregon, airport ticket agents and staff were outstanding; quickly resolving an unforeseen baggage issue, and getting her to the plane in plenty of time. Personally, I’ve traveled the entire US, and I must say, the level of service, and genuine care, by the staff at Meridian Regional is second to none in my opinion!

Wonderful little airport that is of great importance to east Mississippi /west Alabama. It is nice to have such an easily accessible airport in our area.

Quick and easy airport. Long term parking is only $2 a day. 1 gate and only a couple of vending machines, but it's very easy to use.

I've never had people take such good care of me and my airplane before. I flew from Columbus, Georgia to Louisiana and Key Field was the Midway point. They filled my tanks, cleaned my windshields and offered me some food and drinks. I had to pay for the gas but everything else was free and highly appreciated. I was heyin a little Piper Cherokee and they treated me like a valued customer with a private jet. I highly recommend stopping there if you're anywhere nearby.

Great facilities and friendly, helpful staff. Had a leak in my oxygen hose and was looking for a small hose clamp. Couldn't find one, but a couple of small zip ties did the trick. Great fuel prices and coffee as well. Always my stop when in MS.

This is a small airport, but it is the best airport for that very reason. Friendly TsA, friendly American Airlines rep, Helpful, friendly flight and ground crews. I’ve been to London Heathrow, Ohare, Miami, JFK, LaGuardia, DFW, Frankfurt, Logan. This place is better. Ontime, Free parking, free coffee, free slushy, cleanest bathrooms.

Glen checked my luggage. A total professional and very engaging. Great conversation and exceptional customer service. Truly commendable.

Very smalle but very efficient. Everyone there was incredibly kind and helpful. 1st time flying and they made me feel comfortable and safe. Landed in Texas without any issues.

The people at this airport went way out of their way to help my family. My mother in law was dying and my husband returned to Meridian to care for her. Many thanks to Sharon, who changed my husbands ticket multiple times and helped him find the suit he had left at another airport, in time for the funeral. Also, thanks to Mr. T, Tamiko, and Tiara who were beyond helpful during this stressful time.

Paul is the man! We had an emergency landing on a Sunday evening. He left Home to come take us to Jackson by shuttle. Great staff! We can’t thank then enough!
