Moose Cafe

If you want down-home country cooking, especially for breakfast but also for lunch, then look no further than the Moose Cafe. They have two different locations (one in Asheville) and both are a must visit. If you love breakfast, don't worry, because it's served all day....and they even have an all you can eat option.

As for the menu items for breakfast, you can't go wrong with their many breakfast. Platters, omelets, 🥞 pancakes (Moose Cakes) and french toast, and sides. I loved their 🍳 eggs, 🥓 sausage and bacon, hash brown casserole, white pepper, gravy, and fresh 🍓🍎 fruit. One of the many perks of being located at a farmers market. They also have biscuits and apple butter for the table for all guests.

This location does take reservations and has ample indoor and outdoor seating, ♿ handicap accessible 🅿 parking, seating, and 🚻 restrooms, along with a friendly staff.

Other than the 🌽 in the corn bread, everything was wonderful. The staff is amazing 👏🏿 they all deserve a raise. I love my new garden flag. Thank you 😊

My husband and I stopped in an hour before closing last weekend. We were promptly greeted and seated. Almost immediately our server arrived with the fluffiest biscuits I've seen in a while, and good apple butter. We ordered and chatted, and enjoyed the casual family ambiance and music. Our orders arrived so quickly and all our food was fresh, hot, and delicious. My western omelet was too big to eat, the hashbrown casserole was cheesy savory goodness. My husband's eggs were fluffy, and he enjoyed his French toast that came with his order. They were going strong even at the end of their day. We will definitely be back, sooner rather than later.

Server was great. Food was a blast. Just feel like there was a lot of flies around and they were getting on our food so maybe a better managing upkeep but the place was clean and simple. A good place to just come with friends and relax nothing fancy. Cozy and filling.

Stumbled upon the Moose Cafe while at a baseball tournament in High Point. Had some time to kill and wanted to treat ourselves to a nice brunch, and boy did we pick a winner! Despite being busy, there was no wait as the restaurant is rather large and there is plenty of room. Our server was an absolute delight. The food came out so fast it was almost shocking. Everything the four of us ordered was amazing. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

So after getting some things at the farmers market I stopped into get a sandwich. I got the buttermilk chicken breast sandwich with a side of pintos. That sandwich is the real deal - the fried buttermilk batter was truly delicious. I also had a biscuit and cornbread side with apple butter. My waitress was so nice.
The next time I’m passing through I will be stopping here again. 👍

If you are looking for good country, southern cooking, this is it! Flavors that make you remember your childhood. The BEST biscuits ever. The food was super fresh and the service was so quick. Pancakes were so fluffy. Chicken tenders were massive and perfectly cooked.

Those home made biscuits and apple butter that they give you as an appetizer before your meal arrives is out of this world.

My family and I had a wonderful breakfast. The service was fast, and the food was great.

I’m a big guy (235) that typically reads “their portions are HUGE” and roll my eyes. Maybe for a petite person wearing skinny jeans… but not to me. They feed you like your grandma does. Mamaw takes it personal if you don’t take a big scoop of her food. Trust me when I say met that you’ll be satisfied not only with the serving size, but also the quality of the food and the service of the staff.

Some friends of mine and I decided to get together for lunch. Those of us from out of state had never been before. There was a good selection and they didn't skimp on the portion sizes. I ordered the meat loaf dinner, which came with 2 vegetables (many to choose from) and bread. The meat loaf was a bigger portion than I have ever gotten anywhere else. It wasn't the best that I've had, but it was still good. Others in the party enjoyed their meals as well. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, closing at 4. If I ever go back, I'm wanting to try their breakfast, which they serve all day.

I've eaten at the Asheville location and it is good but this location is larger and nicer IMO. My waitress was outstanding and attentive. My food was great. I'll be back for sure.

I always love their food! Large portions and delicious! This time, we are outside. There was a guitarist outside playing great music and singing great songs. We all really enjoyed it.

The food here has always been delicious. I used to get the all you can eat breakfast after building up an appetite walking around the farmers market vendors. However, all of their portions are sizable. I have since fallen in love with the homestyle fried chicken breakfast plate. You must get the hash brown casserole and try the gravy or apple butter on their large fluffy biscuits!

They also have many other great breakfast and lunch options. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu taste wise!

Food is great, tried the fried chicken, gravy, cornbread, beets, collards, sweet tea. Also had a fried chicken sandwich. The breading was a bit much for me, but still great fried chicken. Will probably come back and sample the breakfast. No issues with the service. Check them out.

This place is absolutely incredible. The portion sizes are huge. I got the meatloaf and it is easily 2 to 3 meals. It's in an awesome spot at the farmers market. I highly recommend you try this place out. It's country cooking like grandma cooked. And you'll leave absolutely stuffed.

We have been coming here for a while now, and we have always received great service. I will say you should come hungry as their portions are quite sizeable. I did learn today they do not have toast...but a lot of biscuits!!!

I know there is a horde of church grannies cooking in that kitchen! The food here is the most authentic homestyle cooking I have ever had from a restaurant. The service is quick, efficient and friendly. Your cup will never be empty. The portions are generous and we always have enough leftovers to eat another meal. The wait is worth it if they're busy. You won't be disappointed.
