The Boat Landing Restaurant

A great view of the intracoastal invites you in. The decor inside is quaint and reminds me of a little bistro somewhere. The service is great. There were no complaint from my dinner party on the food. One ordered the jambalaya, two ordered the tile fish special, another the fried flounder sandwich. I ordered the shrimp and grits (photoed). I really have no complaints, it was very flavorful and could be in my top 5. It does hav e a fried egg on it, I just wish was runny and not over medium. But that’s hindsight, knowing that I’ll request it next time. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed when you choose this place.

Very tasty food for very reasonable prices. The "Fresh Catch" Tacos had two large (almost entree size) pieces of mahi mahi and were delicious. The wine pours were very generous. We'll definitely stop again next year.

Great food, great service, good portions, great price!!!!! LOVED!!!!!! The ahi tuna was delicious unexpectedly - loved the cucumber wasabi sauce paired with the sesame seeds crust!!

Great restaurant. Not a large menu but adequate.
My wife and I shared the coconut shrimp appetizer which was prepared differently from what you receive at most restaurants (fresh coconut sprinkled over the shrimp). For the entrée, my wife had the crab cake sandwich. The crab cake was very meaty and larger than expected.
I had the jambalaya, and was amazed with the quantity of shrimp, sausage and okra. A massive portion that was not overly spicy nor too soupy.
Additionally, the jambalaya came with a piece of Texas toast, and a surprise, a chicken strip. Service was excellent, friendly and punctual.
Highly recommend for a casual dinner.

Super refreshing. This was our best meal of the week yet. From Katelynn, the hostess, (prob spelling incorrectly) to Cheryl, our server, we felt valued and welcomed. Started with the best wings we’ve had in a long time and finished with the fried shrimp and patty melt. The shrimp was huge and lightly breaded. The sandwich was fresh with extra mushrooms and onions. We sat outside and experienced a fantastic view. All in all, a 10/10.

My son and I were just cruising around all the way from Myrtle Beach and just decided to stop in and try it out.. Service from Amber was great. We tried the crab dip and peel and eat shrimp. Both delish. I had the chefs special scallops and my son had the catch of the day Mahi. All the food and service was great.

What a great view! Allowed us to wait in the park and Katie called our cellphone when our table was ready. Very reasonable wait on a Friday night, especially considering we left a place in Calabash because of being quoted two hours wait.
Ashley was our server - very pleasant and attentive.
I had the catch of the day, blackened grouper with the potatoes and vegetables. Presentation was acceptable, but nothing stunning, but the taste more than made up for it. My wife had grilled shrimp, potatoes and a salad. Good portions, nice deck to sit out on, doesn’t look like much, but we are very pleased with the overall experience. We certainly could have paid a LOT more and had a much worse experience. Oh, btw, if you like fresh, homemade key lime pie, theirs is great! Even if you don’t think you do, you will probably like theirs!

This place man.... I was scared I don't normally do upscale places but when your at the beach why not right? This place has amazing food we had the brussel sprouts crab dip and fried pickles to start all very very good. Then I ordered the blackened shrimp tacos also amazing. We all left full and happy. Service was fast and friendly I would recommend to anyone prices were well under what I expected as well... The food is amazing!

Quaint restaurant right on the water under the big bridge to Sunset Beach. Great staff and atmosphere, as well as VERY affordable. Don't miss its location! Hides beyond Crabby Oddwaters but a better choice for eating. Great place and not too crowded!

We loved it....food excellent our waitress could not have been more welcoming..also sell jewelry there..really nice place...we had a very pretty black waitress with her head wrapped in a beautiful scarf...I wanted her to come home with me she was knowledgeable and sweet...we will go back again!!😁😁💟💟

Awesome lunch with a view. Fresh grouper tacos and black beans were delicious. Our server Amanda was fantastic.

I showed up with four kids by myself (two of which were 20 month old twins) and the staff treated us like VIP guests. They were so kind and got us two high chairs even though one of my twins ended up in my lap for the whole meal. 😂🤷🏼‍♀ They made sure to get everything put in including the appetizer and kids entree for the tiny ones so they could eat quickly and we felt at home.

When I tell you this was THE BEST SEAFOOD I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Oh my goodness! The catch of the day was tile fish and scallops; sign me up! My 10 and 14 year old had the fish tacos…AMAZING!!! I would drive from Fayetteville to Sunset Beach every Friday if I could, just for that. The scallops were cooked to perfection, perfect sear, not overly done.

You have to try the fried green tomatoes, just get them! So good. And the green beans have bacon in them, yum. Roasted potatoes with so much flavor. Seriously everything we tasted was wonderful and the portions are huge. Worth every penny we spent.

When we left it was right at closing and their dining room was still full of guests but they were in no rush. I told the hostess I could not wait to leave this review and we will be back on our next weekend trip to Sunset Beach but will be bringing friends.

A great place for awesome food!! Best cole slaw ever!! Highly recommend . Friendly staff and chef! The two of us were completely satisfied and pleased with our meals!

Wow! I had shrimp on Gouda cheese grits and it was magnificent! It was mildly spicy which was perfect for me. I’m looking forward to having it again. My husband had the fish special, red drum, and it too was delicious. The presentations for both were top notch. Darren, our server, was very attentive and so polite and friendly. We will request him when we return. I’m just sorry they won’t be open tomorrow! 🌷

This was our second time here and we absolutely love it. We will definitely continue to come here and bring family and friends. The food has not disappointed. The staff is wonderful, friendly and attentive. If you haven't gone yet, I highly suggest you do!
