Although I didn’t have an appointment, one of the technicians urged the service advisor to slide me in because there were open stalls and enough time before the next scheduled appointments. The service advisor acknowledged he was fairly new, but was positive and very kind. The technician informed me that I was able to make appointments on the app and the advisor said I could always call to schedule. I appreciate good service, especially having to fit me in.

After online shopping for a new ride, I decided to give Skinner’s GM a try. Online pricing can be very deceptive and when you’re looking for a popular vehicle you find it hard to believe that they discount them that deeply. Anyway, I armed myself for battle: 4 different used car values for my ride, amount of equity vs. payoff, latest credit score and my cleaned-up ride.
After buying over 40 cars in my life I knew what to expect, 6 hours of verbal war, hidden fees, low ball offer for my trade and an uncompetitive interest rate. I walk in, sit down with my salesman Roy and become my “total jerk self”. Four hours later, my new ride is prepped and my bride and I are driving back home.
A: They gave me exactly what my ride was worth. B: The discount was exactly as stated on their web site. C: Roy and their F & I man Ronnie actually saved me money by showing me that the 0% financing was not the way to go. C: Ronnie showed me the final price and I couldn’t believe it. No BS fees at all, none. Title fee and that’s it. If I wanted anything else, here it is. No pressure whatsoever, unbelievable. D: Roy took 30 minutes to set up and explain all the features of the new ride.
In all fairness, it took longer for us to decide which vehicle we wanted, than it took to do the deal. And all I can say is this was my easiest and best buying experience ever and Thank You to all the staff at Skinner’s GM for making it possible.
