Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gonzales, an IHG Hotel

Called and booked with Holiday Inn reservations.
Representative accidentally booked me at a Holiday Inn directly across the street from the one I wanted. (would not have minded, but I drive a big truck and there wasn't enough room).
Long story of short, I showed up at the one I thought I booked.
Midian was at the front desk and went above and beyond what she needed to do to get me transferred to her location.
Rooms... Clean.
Shower... Small
Breakfast... Good
Service... Exceptional.
Will definitely stay again if the need arises.

So I will start out saying I'm extremely picky up front about it. If I give you a good review you probably deserve it. That goes for a bad one I don't hold back. This holiday and express is clean and smells good. The breakfast is like any other hotel breakfast we've all had. This was my second stay at this hotel. My wife said to book a hotel
We're going to see our younger daughter at college. I did not hesitate to book a room at this Holiday Inn Express. Like I said I'm picky. And I knew what I was going to get. And this time it was even better. We were there about 4 days 14th through the 17th. Kind of pricey at $470.00 .But well worth the money for a clean room. Wow this was a long-winded I'm sorry

Excellent experience. The entire process from start to finish was great except for one hiccup. I went out to do photography and came back to be locked out because my room key did not work. The attendant opened the door for me, and I asked her to recode my key. I had two camera bags and food I was bringing in. I go up to my room, and the room key STILL didn't work, so I had to go back down to the lobby w all my stuff. The attendant let me in, but I couldn't leave my room or the hotel until checkout. A similar issue happened at another location, so I am not sure why that is a thing. I hope they get this resolved.

Ms. Thelma is super sweet. We made it to breakfast a little late and Ms. Thelma pulled the food out for me and my sister to quickly grab something. That never happens at other breakfast bars at other hotels. That meant a lot, kindness goes along way with me.

We only stayed one night but it was great. A few hours before our arrival I received text messages from the front desk lady excited about check in, and asking if I needed anything prior. It was super helpful as we had an appointment before check in and I wasn't sure how long we'd be. The rooms and lobby were all super clean, the staff was friendly, and helpful. When we finally got in our room that night our tv remote wouldn't work so we called the front desk. Chris had no problem coming up and fixing the issue for us. The only thing that surprised me was that there was no "snack" courtesy center that I've usually seen in hotels. They want you to use the vending machines on the floors. Outside of that it was a great stay and if I'm ever back over this way I'll be more than happy to stay with them again!

Great service and hotel overall! We were passing through the area with a baby and 3 year old. The hotel staff has a crib ready for us and were super friendly. The room was incredibly clean and quiet. We were very happy with what we got!

Great stay! Super clean, friendly staff, hot breakfast. Excellent location for shopping at Outlet Mall and close to the many plantations.

Our family just spent one night after a long day of driving. Ppl working check in and check out were really kind and the rooms were nice and clean. It still had that new construction smell and everything seemed to be built with care. We’ve been in some older hotels that went through modern renovations, but poorly built. The pool stays open until 10pm and with the warm weather it was perfect for the kids. Highly recommend if you need a place to stay.

Super clean, friendly staff, comfortable beds & the best complimentary breakfast in the business! Great area too- we were just passing through but ended up staying an extra night so we could visit some area plantations. We’d stay again- highly recommend this hotel!

I stay in probably 50-70 hotels a year and this is by far the best and cleanest one that I stay in. The rooms are clean. No hair in the bathrooms like most locations no stains on sheets. The only thing is the noise on the road outside and the people leaving the hotel in their loud cars/trucks who are trying to prove there cars are loud. If you are a light sleeper request the backside of the hotel. I usually skip breakfast at hotels but this one is not a breakfast you want to skip. Very welcoming

Great location to all kinds of good things in Gonzales and just a quick trip down the interstate to Baton Rouge or New Orleans. The staff was top notch and the management was on top of everything the entire time!

Everything about this place is excellent! The breakfast is fresh and good. The rooms are clean and welcoming. The beds are so comfortable! The staff is friendly. Will stay again!

Very nice hotel. It was very clean, modern, quiet, and comfortable to stay at. Loved it. Will stay here again. The only is trying to exit the parking lot. There is no traffic light or turn lane to turn into.

This hotel stay was so pleasant. The lady at the front desk was really nice. Our room was beautiful and very clean. Never seen a shower like that,, awesome. The hallway and elevator smelt fresh. All around a very clean and classy place. Breakfast was hot and fresh and there were many things to chose from. Hope to stay there again on our next trip.

This place was clean, roomy, conferable,and convenient. But non of that came close to the service and a family welcome everyone got from JANET. She is the heart of that place. She made coffee for my dad at 2am, off the clock. Because he couldn't sleep. He is 75. He bragged about her and how good her coffee was all day. She stood out in the best way. Not only to us but I heard at least 4 other people from other rooms talking about how great Janet was. And Janet if you see this... Thank you so very much for making mine and my dads stay there so great.

Best hotel experience I’ve had in years!
Best hotel shower ever! Super clean, friendly staff, excellent toiletries in room ( but no lotion) comfy bed and pillows.
Breakfast food was ok, attendant was sweet though.

We were in town to visit LSU. HIE&S’s have the best complimentary breakfast around. Room 409 was spacious and clean and my son loved the huge shower. Beds were comfortable. Great location. Every restaurant you could think of within a mile, and a Tanger Outlet next door (If you like to shop). Less than a half hour to Baton Rouge and less than an hour to NOLA.

Room service every day is great but the best part of the day is breakfast made by TANAKA! Especially after a 12 hour shift. Janet and Carnisha are awesome people to be around. Very friendly people to be around. Has a very home feeling. Thank you all for the hospitality and love.

It's well managed. The location near the shopping outlet and buffet breakfast was outstanding. I highly recommend this location.

Great room. Comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was decent with eggs and sausage along with the usual continental breakfast fare. Desk clerk was polite and helpful
