OYO Townhouse Donaldsonville - Gonzale

We stayed two nights in a family room. Considering the age of the building, the tropics and the fact that they started doing rooms up, the standard was good.
Price was reasonable.
Staff was between fantastic and outstanding.
My kids spilled chocolate milk in the room, not a drama. Cleaners were very helpful.
Concierge was very helpful with a delivery we expected.
Luggage personnel were always cheerful..

My wife and 2 girls stayed for two nights in August. Not the best time to visit Donaldsonville as it was so damn hot, however the Donaldsonville was the perfect oasis. We stayed in one of the luxury suites which weren’t particularly cheap - but you get what you pay for. It was luxury. Great sized bed and beautiful fittings, however the rooftop terrace was a little disappointing

I am not really able to tell you how nice these kind people have been to me. I am disabled and loaded with health problems that put me at very high risk for covid19. The kind ladies here have taken my evacuated from Westlake, LA. self and treated me like a king. Once they understood my condition they moved me to a room that is the closest to the front desk and the parking lot that has a shower with a chair in it. Any small
problems I have had were taken care of at once. They have gone way overboard with kindness and charity. I love all of these ladies and cannot thank them enough for the help I have been given. Hey, a great room too. Thank you Ovo for taking me under your wing. This is fantastic! Robert Wattner

We stayed here the end of March. It was a very pleasant experience. The staff was very friendly. We even got a room upgrade at no additional cost. Will definitely come back when we're in the area. The bed/pillows were comfortable. Lift was about $5 to the Donaldsonville area.

I booked this hotel to use it as a day use only due to a 16h long stop over in Donaldsonville, city I already knew.
I arrived there by their free shuttle to/from bustop at 7am, they gave me right away a large and nice room on floor 1, so I could rest until late evening. I chilled in beautiful view with clean towels and nice hammocks to relax.

My family of 4 stayed in a 2 queen room at the Donaldsonville. It's an adorable hotel that is done in an updated mid-century modern style. Our room was clean and updated. The outside areas are amazing and while we were there they showed movies in the evening by the place.

Stayed here for the fourth time. Once again very pleased with friendly service and understanding attitudes. From the moment you walk in, to check-out all members of staff are wonderful.
Breakfast is fresh and plentiful, rooms clean; view nice temperature. The bus stop shuttle is so handy.
Would recommend to anyone for anything from overnight stay to longer.

Location was superb just around the corner from City, with many excellent restaurants, bars and tapas bars just minutes away. Breakfast was very good, complementary afternoon tea was also very good. Rooms comfortable and the rooftop place area was big enough to relax each afternoon in the sun overlooking without being too crowded; complementary soft drinks by the place.

Stayed in this hotel for just under a week in late June/early July. What an amazing hotel it was! Excellent location which was right around the corner from Donaldsonville Boulevard in easy access to all tourist attractions. Room was excellent with an excellent view of the city and some of Beverly Hills along with the Donaldsonville city. Very spacious air conditioned room with very comfy beds which made for very comfortable sleeping.

tonight will be the last of my 4 night stay at The Donaldsonville! The decor of the hotel is awesome and they have the best staff! (Really enjoyed Byron at the Lobby Bar!) The Donaldsonville offers a really nice restaurant with several seating options, 2 bars (Happy Hours) and daily activities for all ages! If your headed to the LA area don't miss this gem! Look forward to my next stay!

This beautiful could not be more perfectly located. Steps from the Central and Real City. Gorgeous architectural details. Helpful staff and a real sense of being in an oasis in the heart of the city. Negatives are minor - wifi does not work well outside of the main floor. Finding the suggested parking locations when we arrived at night was difficult. But would totally stay here again and recommend to others!

Friendly, safe, secure and quiet. Enjoyed our stay. Would stay there again at Best Western. I'm most concerned about safety and getting a good night sleep. I don't like a noisy hotel and our stay here was excellent.

So based on our first visit to Donaldsonville and the hotel Donaldsonville in June, we went for a second visit last week and if possible it was even better than the first, perhaps because we knew what to expect this time. Friendly and efficient staff from the moment you step into the hotel, beautiful decor, which is modern but retains its old world charm, oak beams, solid stone walls, gorgeous furnishings in both the rooms and public areas.

A little difficult to find initially but once you get the feel of the place....A great hotel, lovely room on the ground floor with a massive place. The real difference was made by the staff and the afternoon tea. The staff was more than helpful in advising where to go for Nice and eating out generally whereas the afternoon tea, with any drink you can imagine, rolls, cakes and fruit salads was a delight.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel (June and now April) as it is a central location. Once again, great service and a great hotel. Could not fault a thing and would stay here again if we were to head back to LA. One thing to mention are the beds- they are the best beds we have stayed in.

We loved Donaldsonville. The location was perfect, directly around the corner from the Cathedral and within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. We stayed in a Superior room overlooking a narrow walking street, but noise was not a problem because of double doors.

The hotel is beautiful and very much a private oasis despite being just two blocks from the central and Real City. My room on the first floor (#3) had a private, shaded, large terrace with lovely plantings, a table, and chairs. Wifi worked well in my room..

We picked Hotel Donaldsonville after reading the reviews and were not disappointed. The location is amazing, so close to the main attractions and a myriad of restaurants, bars and cafes. It also only took 5 minutes to get to the main shopping area. We had no problem with noise maybe that could have been helped by the wine we drank with dinner every night!

Great location, outstanding suite, room service delicious and friendly staff. The mall connecting to the hotel was a plus with the dinning and shopping options. While there saw the filming of 2 events in the courtyard and one celebrity, all within steps of our hotel. Kids loved it!

Very relaxed and friendly hotel.
Rooms are clean and tidy.
If you spend a little more on a club room, it’s bigger, in the nicer side of the hotel and includes free drinks and nibbles at the bar late afternoon..
