The Anthony Downtown at The BB Club

My friend and I went for a late lunch, and it was a great experience, and our waitress, Pamela, was fantastic. We started out with the jalapeño pimento cheese beignets. I really enjoyed them elegiac the brown mustard with it; my friend didn't love the tomato topping much, though. Then I decided I wanted to try the sausage gravy with biscuit chips. I really enjoyed this appetizer; it was unique and delicious. I had shrimp tacos for lunch, and she had the wings. The tacos were a little bit too spicy, for me, but my husband said they must have been prepared a little differently. He said his weren't nearly that spicy. Either way, they were delicious, but I would try something else next time. Great place. Can't wait to try out some more of the food.

6 STARS! Okay, this is one of very few times that I wish I could provide a higher rating. Today was my first time at The Anthony, and it was fantastic. I truly loved the food. I had shrimp tacos with sweet potato fries. Heavenly. Everyone else loved their lunches as well! Service was quick and polite. Also, it was taco Tuesday, so tacos were half price! Best, most affordable meal I've had in a long time.

This is a great place for family night or events. They offer daily lunch specials, drink specials and my favorite- taco Tuesday. The last time I visited The Anthony I could not decide what I wanted so I got a combination of things: salad, wings, and a pizza. I was pleased with all of it. I also purchased a flight and it was very tasty.

A fantastic building to just look at. It’s a classic when it comes to architecture. The inside is so grand. So many weddings are done here. A great place for a ball. The BB stands for B’nai B’rith Literary Association building . A restaurant called the Anthony is suppose to be in the building but I haven’t seen any activity so far. If it was open I would have loved to try it.

This is a beautiful venue for weddings. We attended one as a vendor and were blown away by the historic beauty found in the building on all levels. With the natural light pouring in to the rooftop views, what more could you ask for. The decorating team only has to highlight the place with florals and candles and it's ready to go. As a videographer, it's a dream building to film in.

A true five star experience from start to finish. Beautiful location with incredible golf course views throughout. Exceptional service with very friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. Great menu offerings with options for everyone. We had the salmon, pork shoulder and grits, a burger, and chicken Alfredo. Everything was cooked perfectly and everyone loved their meal. Great flavors and the best fries in the south! This will be our go-to restaurant when traveling through the area. We are already looking forward to our next meal.

I love the food there. The fried green tomatoes with the Crawfish sauce are delicious. The pork nachos are great a quick bite or sharing. The cheese cake is homemade. My only complaint would be the Mac and cheese. Different days yield different tastes. Make sure everyone follows the same recipe.

Our group if 12 ladies felt like royalty! Service was impeccable and the meals were over the top delicious. We had scheduled a private room as this was a meeting, but we didn't get that....we were seated in a back area near the bar. It was a little loud but we skipped meeting and enjoyed being together. If we do this again, we will definitely make sure that we can be accomodated in the private section. Otherwise the event was fantastic i will be back!!!

Fantastic food, attentive casual service, by far the best brunch in Central Mississippi, probably the whole state. Dinner has been superb every time I've gone. Dining and brunching companions were ecstatic each time. I'm a native of New Orleans and I grew up around good food. I've sampled the best Paris, New York, Chicago, Rome, Florence, and San Francisco have to offer. The Anthony can hold its own with the finest dining anywhere.

Shrimp tacos are the best I have ever eaten. Spiced perfectly! Love the pork rinds. Fried green tomatoes are good, too. I have never had a bad meal at The Anthony.

It was a really nice environment 😊 and the staff was amazing ! Service was great and the food was delicious ! It was 4 of us and we all tried each other's dish and none of it was a disappointment!!! We had the Salmon and the Redfish with crawfish cream sauce , chicken Alfredo , and the cheese grits are so good !Definitely going to be back !

Good food! The fried green tomatoes were delicious as was the sausage plate. I had the chicken parmesan and it was amazing. It's a lot of food too, do easily packed up and taken home for leftovers.

Huge salads, so fresh and yummy! Wonderful po-boys, pizzas, everything! Go sit on the patio with their cold beer special, eat some Cajun pork rinds, and savor the fried green tomatoes-and let that just be your starter. You'll love it here.

This may be my new favorite restaurant in Vicksburg! We started with the fried green tomatoes appetizer. Fried well with a great not-too-heavy sauce. For the entrée my wife had blackened redfish, and tuna for me. Both were cooked appropriately and well seasoned. Veggies were very tasty, cooked but still some crisp. Anything we couldn't eat went home with us in a box! I look forward to our next Anthony meal to see if this experience can be duplicated.

I saw a review online while we were at Vicksburg Park and looking for a place to eat and the choice to go to the Anthony was the right one. Really good food, served in a beautiful space and with attentive and friendly wait staff. The restaurant has huge glass windows looking out on the golf course and the decor is funky chic but the food is really while you are there and it is worth it!

One of the best places to eat in Vicksburg. Good service and excellent-food selections. Nice view of the Country Club golf course, however you don't have to be a member to eat at The Anthony. It is open to everyone.

The Anthony (downtown) has opened inside the BB Club for lunch. It's a quaint place to stop in for lunch. The food is homemade and delicious. I have had the vegetable beef soup, steak tacos, and fish special. Everytime the food was fantastic.

One of the very best restaurants!! Some friends took us here and we loved it. I had something with pork shoulder and cheese grits and would go back just for that!

My favorites are the salads with chicken added, the quesadillas, redfish, and the salmon!! The sides are all excellent!! Everything is excellent and the the service is as well. This is my favorite restaurant in town!

Had our wedding ceremony and reception here and it was the best decision ever ! The venue is so beautiful and really speaks for itself. Ellen was so fun to work with . I wish we could relive the day over and over again !
