Rutabaga's Market and Cafe

Very nice and small local restaurant where all the food is made fresh. I've eaten here a few times when travelling to the area for work and I will definitely return. The salads are good, the soup is good, the sandwiches are good, everything is good here. The people that work here are also extremely nice and the restaurant definitely has a homey atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone stopping in the area. Oh, they have really good pimento cheese too by the way. I'm originally from SC so I can way that with confidence lol.

OMG!! This is Hampton's hidden jewel!! The service is AMAZING! Everyone is so friendly, the food is great and the homemade cakes are to die for!!!!! Forever a customer and I just had a cake made for EASTER SUNDAY!!!

I was very impressed by the food that they serve even though it was a to go pick up order. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich croissant and a side of broccoli salad. Chicken salad was great and I tasted pineapples and some kind of nuts. The sandwich is definitely not boring with all the textures it has. The croissant was flaky and delicious. The broccoli salad reminded me of the sweetness of coleslaw but with a fresh and crispy crunch. The salad also has bacon bits and pecans I believe. I will definitely be going back to try more of their menu items.

This quaint whole in the wall, was a great choice for brunch. The food was great and I loved the potato salad 🤤 great prices. They have German chocolate cake 🥰 Will be back

My first visit and absolutely LOVED it! Very quaint, homey, great food and sundries, and friendly staff!! We were there for a Sip and Craft party that was lots of fun! That's what the "gather" photos are from.

This was my first time getting lunch here and I will say I will be back! I had the spinach and artichoke chicken wrap and a Cesar pasta salad. Both were fresh and tasty! Thanks for a good lunch, and I will be returning!

Always great home style, good food. The staff is super sweet. It feels like lunching with a good friend.

Great small cafe. Comfortable environment. The food is good and pricing is nice. The have an awe strawberry jam that we go there just to get. All their other soups, seasoning mixes are tasty as well. Still getting around to trying the other items. Love the small town welcoming neighborhood feel of it.

My friend and I went to lunch because of the reviews. The food was prompt and delicious. Because it was just a little chilly in the cafe, we sat on the outside. I’ll definitely return and will bring my guest from out of town to this place.

Quaint little small town cafe. Friendly folks and delicious homemade food. They also sell jam, chocolates and honey. Had a lovely lunch and walk around downtown.

Best restaurant in town! Even better than some of the more trendy cafes in downtown Atlanta. It doesn’t matter what you get, everything is delicious! The owners are so sweet and so accommodating. Cool little vibe, go get a beer and a sandwich, you won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely AMAZING!!! My daughter and I tried them a few days ago. She got the shrimp and grits, I got the chicken salad on a croissant and we shared the pimento dip with Fritos. Not only was the food delicious, the ladies that worked there made you feel at home and the atmosphere is so much fun!!!! Can’t wait to come back!!!!!!

Today I had the spinach and artichoke wrap minus the chicken plus all the veggies with the cucumber salad side and my daughter had the steak and cheese. My daughter said it was the best sandwich she has ever had and I have to agree my veggie wrap was really special in comparison to others I’ve had. Everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and we had several people check on us to ensure we were well taken care of. This is really a must stop spot in Hampton if you are in the area looking for a place to eat!

I will make it a priority to support this business.Owners Michelle and Tracy have set the bar high! Since covid customer service and friendliness has been extremely hard to find. Michelle was very welcoming, informative, and truly cared! Tracy was attentive! Their beef stew soup and tortilla soup are top tier. They make you feel welcomed and value the customers new and old! Thanks ladies for being one of the few not only amazingly delicious restaurants but extraordinary caring owners.

Very friendly and courteous people working there. Food was excellent! I have never tried anything there that I didn't like. The best homemade soups and sandwiches! Desserts aren't bad either. Lol
