This 5 Star Review is specifically for Jim L. in the pharmacy department. He was absolutely fantastic! And I mean fantastic!
He worked with me for at least 20-30 minutes to try and figure out a mess of information my doctor had sent over. He very easily could have told me to call my Dr and have them straighten it out since it was a problem they had created…but…he didn’t! We worked thru it together and I walked out with everything being taken care of! I wish everyone took as much pride in their jobs and helping people as Jim does!

I wish I could give them zero stars. I've been trying to get medicine for over 2 weeks and all I get is a run-around. Each pharmacist has a different story. Exteremly frustrating.

The pharmacy is horrible tech at drive in window was no help didn’t try to help and would fill my prescription I have in my hand cause Publix has a whole different prescription that I can’t get till they open on a Sunday which is later and I have been at the hospital all night now have to stay out longer and wait to get this filled since no one else is able to pick up this prescription for me and I can easily send someone to Publix later to get my others she was rude don’t recommend anyone using this place if I could give a no start I would but have to give at least one

Incompetent. Hard to trust.

A very long story short, I was trying to pick up a medication and was told multiple times within the same day to come back at a specific time when it was ready.
Every time I came back it was not ready. Finally I discovered they did not have it, and I was told to go to the Gatlin Walgreens location, they said they didn't have it either.
I have wasted over 4 hours driving around town trying to pick up this medication, not including the hour I spent over the phone trying to figure out what was going on.
I am extremely disappointed in the service I have received.

If I could give negative stars I would. It may be the case that Walgreens critically understaffs or in other ways sets their pharmacy employees up for failure. From a human perspective I care but, from a patient perspective, the cause doesn’t matter. If you’re on a basic maintenance drug and never have any insurance billing issues, the worst thing you’ll probably experience here is a long drive-through wait time. If your prescriptions require the slightest bit more than that, plan on making a lot of phone calls and fruitless trips to their location.

There is a complete disconnect between what they’re doing with your prescription and the status indicated on the Walgreen’s app or website. Does it say there’s a delay but no action is needed on your part? Call. You’ll wait on hold forever but there’s a 95% chance nothing further is going to happen with that prescription unless you do. Do you have an acute condition and want to start your prescription as soon as possible? Call. If there’s any hiccup in stock, insurance issue, interaction question, etc... they won’t contact you. You’re prescription will sit there in limbo for eternity. Are you transferring in a prescription from somewhere (likely because your PBM is forcing you because you probably aren’t making the change willingly) that has some sort of a discount program or other complication? Call and wait on hold forever. No matter how diligent the sending pharmacy is, there’s zero chance this Walgreen’s location took any action on the additional information provided to them. Even if you do call ahead, plan on a long trip because if whatever information you gave them didn’t work perfectly the first time after the phone call, there’s no way they took any additional action and you’ll have to repeat the whole conversation over again. Are you being forced to transfer a medication that you need today from another pharmacy? Unless that pharmacy is open 24 hours, call this one every 30 minutes until you’ve confirmed they have the prescription. It doesn’t matter how much you stress that you need the medication today, if you don’t keep pushing, forget about actually being able to fill it.

In short, I’m 99% certain that the only way this pharmacy gets any business is from patients whose PBMs have cut off every other pharmacy and urgent fills because they’re open 24 hours/day. Avoid this place like the plague if you can.

I feel it is absolutely unacceptable for the only 24-hour pharmacy to be closed during normal hours. I have a very sick child and needed to pick up his antibiotic and couldn't. The note on the window was from 2 weeks prior, stating they would be closed. I have wasted an hour trying to see if or when it would reopen when if the proper note was on the window, I could've driven to Vero to get his meds. I feel like with all the walgreens in town they could pull another pharmacist to feel the need.

I ran out of syringes and couldn't find a pharmacy that was open besides this Walgreens. I went in and tried to buy a box of 100 syringes. The pharmacy refused to sell me any syringes at all because I wasn't in their system. I explained that my insulin is supplied through a patient assistance program through the HANDS clinic and insulin was mailed to the clinic and not obtained through any pharmacy. They still refused to sell them to me. The cashier asked what syringes I used. I told her I wanted the smallest gauge and shortest syringes they had. She told me that if I didn't know the exact kind that she wouldn't sell them to me. I told her I was typically sold 31 gauge U-100 syringes and was interrupted and told because I didn't know the exact kind that they wouldn't sell them to me. I'm not sure how precisely she expected me to describe them. Standing at the front of the store, I called other pharmacies but they were all closed. I found myself in desperation mode. With no way to take my insulin I had no choice but to stand my ground so I went back to the consultation window of the pharmacy. The pharmacist came and spoke to me. She asked how many units I administered. I explained again how I got my insulin, the max units I took, the name of the insulin I took, the size I wanted and typically received. She agreed to sell them to me and asked how many I wanted. I told her I wanted a box of 100. Another cashier brought a box up and told me they didn't have a full 100 box of syringes and that he'd sell them to me by the 10 pack. I know that they are more expensive this way so I bought enough to hold me over until I can go somewhere else to buy them. This store is more worried about saving a junkie than saving a diabetic. I didn't choose to be diabetic. I can't go without insulin and syringes as a type 1 diabetic. I guess it's better that I die of diabetic ketoacidosis than a junkie get his fix. The lack of care for diabetics has forced me to never shop at a Walgreens for anything ever again. I will never step foot in your store. I will never refer you.

Waited 30 minutes in drive thru and then waited another 10 minutes because the lady couldn’t find the prescription. I told her that they needed to be more efficient. She said no they were fine. I was picking up a prescription for my sister. I use Publix for my prescriptions and love the fact that they are very service oriented and quick. I personally would never use a Walgreens.

Worst pharmacy I have ever been too. Almost 2 hours for a prescription to be filled, come back when it's supposed to be ready...still not ready. Get told come back in 5 min and it'll be ready, so I wait 30 min to give em some extra time and it's still not ready. Ridiculous...
