Al and Stella Authentic Italian Restaurant And Pizzeria ( Water Front)

Do not let this gem of a restaurant slip by. The authenticity of the food along with friendliness and knowledge of the staff should not be missed. The marinara and meatballs are superb. We all ordered the whole fish and it did not disappoint. By far the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to even better than some restaurants I’ve been to in Italy.

My husband and I had the most wonderful time having dinner here. The food and wine were incredible and some of the best Italian we’ve had. Our table by the water was perfect, and our server Greg made sure we had everything we needed and was fun to talk to. If you’re in the area, you need to eat here!

Everything was great! Second time here on a vacation, definitely a favorite of ours. We will be back here again. Thank you Greg and family!

We weren’t sure what to expect when we walked in, as only one other couple was seated at the time. Over the next hour it got busier and for good reason. The food is excellent (and I’m pretty particular about what I say is excellent.) The garlic cheese bread was garlicky, light, and just buttery enough. So good we got two baskets. The penne Alfredo was delicious. The sauce was light and not thick. The cheese pizza sauce tasted very fresh and tomatoey, not too heavy at all on the spices. Last but not least, our waiter Ryan was very nice and quick to provide service. When you hear Italian being spoken in the kitchen, be prepared for a delicious meal!

From the experience we had yesterday we think that this restaurant is not deserving the past recensions - most likely strategically motivated (look at the names, the date and the strange style in wich these "reviews" were written). Our reservation was professionally delt with, our waiter was friendly and motivated and the food was clearly the best italian dish we experienced so far on our 3 weeks stay in the Clearwater area. I am often in different regions of Italy and not only our food but as well the plates carried to other tables were looking absolutely comparable to what you experience there. The seating outside at the water is adding to that good experience. We really can not imagine how these last recesions were coming about. We only can recommend not to get influenced by this tendentious waffeling. You would miss a good opportunity for a great evening and delicious food.

Greg served us. Food and service was absolutely fanatic ( coming from 2 Italians). Beautiful atmosphere with water side view! Reasonable priced. And the marinara sauce was the star of the show! Thank you Greg!!

We had a very nice family night out. Ryan was very friendly, pleasant & quick to serve our family. The food is very authentic! It’s hard to find great Italian Pizza. We would recommend Al and Stella if you are in Sand Key or Clearwater.

Nice Italian joint for staple Italian foods! Food was great and so was the service. Also got a pizza and was pleased to see it had the right ratio of ingredients. They have a great kids menu too!
Will be back the next time we’re in town.

We stopped in on the spur of the moment Sunday evening. They were preparing to close and all invited us to come in, sit down and enjoy a pizza and a drink. We ordered a white cheese pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms and fresh garlic. It was so fresh and tasty, with a thin crust. It was quite possibly the best pizza I've ever had. Greg was our waiter and he was very welcoming and personable. The food arrived quickly and Greg
was attentive. The evening was beautiful. We'll be back!

Absolutely fantastic experience! We had my mother-in-law's 70th birthday party at Al and Stella Authentic Italian and were blown away by the food and hospitality. I live in Georgia, so I was a little nervous planning a party long-distance, but Stella was with me every step of the way. She made it so easy and exceeded my expectations.
The food was incredible. Several guests (including myself) agree it was the best chicken parmesan they've ever had. The spinach ravioli was my favorite dish. I could not get enough of the porcini cream sauce. My mother-in-law was a big fan of the meatballs - so flavorful and tender. We couldn't have asked for a more delicious meal.
Our party was set up on their waterfront patio and it was just beautiful. Stella and Greg took care of us and were so delightful and warm. I could just sit back and enjoy the party because I knew we were in such good hands.
Stella really went the extra mile to make our party a once in a lifetime experience. We now have a new spot to take my mother-in-law to when we visit and she will always remember her special day!

We enjoyed dinner last night. Had the meatball for appetizer. We both had the specials the shrimp and veggie pasta was amazing! The porcini Ravioli was very good too.
Then Tiramisu for desert. Best tiramisu I had in a long time. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating we wanted to take our time and enjoy our bottle of wine with dinner. Highly recommend this place.

My husband got the Italian meat lovers pizza, and he said it was the best pizza he has had! I had the gnocchi Gorgonzola, it was seriously amazing. The best food I’ve had in a long time! Would definitely recommend! We sat out on the deck by the water, very cozy. Our waiter was so friendly, and took the time to chat with us, and was on top of the service!

Haven’t had pizza this delicious in forever! The crust and sauce were fantastic. Ryan provided wonderful service for our family to enjoy our meal. We will be back the next time we’re in town.

We had a large group and the owner Stella provided us with a great dining experience and a five course meal. All the food was delicious followed by a tasty Tiramisu.

Stella makes beautiful and delicious food and they serve us their mouth-watering dishes at St Anthony's Hospital Cafeteria on Friday. Today I'm having Salmon with a gorgonzola cream sauce over fresh garlicky pasta and delicately cooked vegetables. Stella tops everything off with arugula, parmesan cheese, parsley and her smile. So much love in their food.

Handled our party of 11 with ease. The meatballs, 4 cheese and margherita pizzas, and amarone wine were all outstanding. Wish we could have eaten here twice!

Best kept secret in town !! A big thank you to Stella and her staff they were so accommodating! The food was amazing from start to finish! We will definitely be back!!

Greg was are waiter and he was badass! Great service, great recommendations, and great food. My only regret is not licking my plate

Ryan was our server he took wonderful care of us! The food was delicious from raviolis with white wine sauce, pollo Parmesan and house made tiramisu that was wonderful!

Marcus and Greg were awesome, honestly everything was perfect. Location next to the water and the food very authentic was great.
