Maggie Mae's Waterfront

Maggie Mae’s came as a down south southern comfort family oriented recommendation that we were glad to follow through on.

We were delighted upon pulling up to have been to the waterfront location before at Backwaters for dinner.

Please check the hours of operation as the day we went, they closed at 2pm.

Parking - Since restaurants at both ends of the strip offer valet, it was somewhat time consuming trying to circle the lot for a spot (police had someone pulled over in the lot). Please watch as some spots are for only 30 and 60 minute parking.

From the outside, you’d think it was a small store, however, I judged and was surprised as the restaurant was deep and had indoor and outdoor dining. We opted for outdoor dining.

We ordered breakfast, which to our delight was still being served at the time we arrived. Menu attached. We ordered an assortment of pancakes, eggs, home fries, bacon (no turkey bacon, but turkey sausages), chicken fingers/fries, hamburger/fries.

The outdoor atmosphere was tranquil overlooking the water. Since we arrived early afternoon, there were only 2 other tables seated, and they left son after, leaving us with the entire back deck to ourselves.

Service was phenomenal. Our waiter serviced our needs beyond our expectations.

**The only recommendation I would ask is if there is a way to screen in the back deck, that may prevent the raven and crows from accessing tables contents and condiments. Birds were flying off with creamer cups, jelly packs, and even sipping spilled syrup.

What a surprise! This local hot spot was wonderful! The homemade corned beef hash was exceptional, the best I've had to date. The service was great. The food was hot and quick. Sitting on the patio, overlooking the water was beautiful. Thumbs up all the way around.

A MUST visit spot for breakfast if you stay in the Clearwater beach area. They offer inside, and outside dining. Outside is on the water. Always great food. I get the I can’t decide platter and add mushrooms and Tomatoes. Wildlife happening outside from birds to dolphins. Tons of lil gift shops next door as well.

Great breakfast with a beautiful view. We ordered a breakfast sandwich with potatoes and the Maggie’s duo combo; everything was delicious and filling! We also ordered mimosas, they were perfect. We went around 10 AM on a Saturday and were seated right away. Everyone was extremely friendly and seemed like they truly enjoyed being there!

Came to this location a few weeks back. Place was amazing, staff was very accommodating and super sweet. Food was great. Definitely recommend for anyone to go, close to the beach and amazing views!

Only thing I will recommend, will be to have maybe one or two speakers outside with some music, if they had it I did not notice but will add to the atmosphere.

And the Prices were really Good for the portions we received! Great place will come back for sure!

Seemed busy but we didn’t have to wait long to be seated. Ordered the Hillbilly Taters and my husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros and we both enjoyed or meals. We also got a Sangria as well.

Really good basic breakfast with fun servers and amazing outdoor seating.

Lunch looked fantastic with lots of options.

We had a fantastic server who was on top of things. Good coffee and a great atmosphere.

Don't let the lines or parking stop you, tables turn quickly and it's good food.

Came here as we saw it had a nice water view and was pleasantly surprised with how great the food was. The pricing was awesome too! There was a group of 8 of us and they were able to accommodate and seat us quickly. Our server was very kind and was great with remembering our orders.

Delicious! We both had the Maggie Duo Combo, and they were great. Love coming here whenever we're in town. The pancakes are fluffy. Eggs cooked just right. Meats have good flavor. Staff are very friendly, caring, attentive, and professional. Wonderful diner feel. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed a delicious grilled chicken salad on the back patio overlooking the bay. Excellent service, hearty portions, and an all-around fun and positive vibe at Maggie Maes! The prices are very reasonable and the menu has Something for everyone!. I took a huge fresh club sandwich to my daughter at the beach for $10. Love it!

Great breakfast! Server was very personable and efficient. She kept my coffee cup full at all times. The pancakes were not the best I've ever had but they were OK and big! Bacon was done perfectly for me-not too crispy. Good scrambled eggs. Very small inside seating but a large deck outside. It was a little chilly for us or we would have eaten out there. Will definitely go back!

Very good food with good views. The banana fosters with pecans was GREAT!!! Kelly was our hostess. The veggie omelette seemed to taste better than most...I added bacon...yeah, I know it's no longer a veggie omelette, but they charge .95 cents per extra item and I wanted my veggies. We'll be back!

Just a great place to sit and eat. Indoors or out. Great friendly atmosphere!

The “I don’t know” platter was a great option for someone who likes variety. The view from the outdoor patio is AMAZING! They only have a handful of tables that are on the water so starting at about 10am there is like an hour wait for those. The inside area seemed a bit crowded for COVID times and I would either wait for outdoor seating or move along. Wait staff was attentive, food came out super quick! Photos as of September 2020.

My mother and I are on vacation here and I’m big on finding local places to eat and chose Maggie’s and absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was really good, the view was beautiful of the bay especially in the morning, and the menu was adorable, when you go you have to read the Maggie’s Rules it had my mom and I cracking up🤣. Definitely 5 stars and will be our go to breakfast diner when we come back to Clearwater!!🤗

I loved that the staff wore t-shirts that read: “wakie, wakie eggs n’ bakie.” Definitely worth the stop if you’re in the Clearwater area!

This is the best breakfast in all of Clearwater. The menu is huge, the tables overlook the Gulf of Mexico, and the service is amazing. The staff wear shirts that say service depends on your attitude and my mood. Nothing could be further from the truth. The staff, especially Crystal, are all absolutely amazing, helpful, and friendly . If you can’t decide what to order, they have Maggie’s Mess, which includes anything you want scrambled together! We went there twice during our stay in Clearwater Beach. Highly recommend this breakfast spot !

2nd time visiting Maggie Mae’s in 15 years and it did not disappoint. Great food. Quick service and awesome view of the Clearwater Bay on the back deck. All day happy hour meant $4 mimosas and $5 sangria while enjoying a late breakfast. Can’t wait to come back again

Husband got Maggie’s DUO combo with scrambled eggs, pancakes and bacon. He was a very happy camper. Good food. Good service. Beautiful views of the water on the back deck.

My daughter and I officially have a new favorite breakfast place in sand key/Clearwater! Crystal was our server both times we were in town this week. She was awesome. Biscuits and gravy was one of the best I’ve had. Everything is cooked to order and comes out quickly even when they are busy! Best deal fir breakfast. $22 total for what is pictured. Thank you crystal abd thank you Maggie Maes! See you on our next trip down from Ohio :)
