Guppy's On the Beach

Perfect place to eat near the beach. The outside seating is awesome! Highly recommend sitting outside. I went for the early bird dinner with my dad and both dishes were delicious and a ton of food! Our server Alex was very nice. They do have non-alcoholic beer options if you look for that sort of thing like I do. And for those who like to indulge the sangria looked very good and a ton of people ordered it so I’m guessing it’s a best seller.
The bathrooms were different than I’ve ever seen, just 3 individual bathrooms, 2 on the smaller side and one large one with changing stations. All around good place!

Mar 2024: Lovely outdoor patio seating (indoor too). The lobster bisque was zesty with heavy whipping cream and d mini toast. Rate it a 10/10 and inhaled it so fast I forgot to take a pic. The blue crab dip with chips was yummy too, rate it 9/10. Great service too. They have a fish tank :-)

Definitely a place worth visiting in the area of Indian rocks beach. They have a great location across from the beach. The Kona coffee dusted scallops are amazing and worth the drive out there if u are a fan of scallops. The atmosphere is laid back but you can come dressed up. Their prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size of the food. I always try to make a stop here when in town.

The ceviche was as good as what we’ve had in Puerto Rico and have been searching for the whole trip!! They also served the best scallops I have ever eaten. We had gone to the famed Columbias for lunch and it was fantastic but this dinner at Guppy’s was even better - the scallops, wild rice, leek sauce, and plantains was an amazing combination. Green beans cooked to perfection - not too soft, not too hard, no strings or tough bits and not flattened. I seriously can’t think of a more perfect meal than the one I just ate.

Also hubby loves his poke bowl. The grade of seafood they’re using is astonishingly good.

Best of luck to our amazing waitress who is retiring next week. She was the icing on top of a perfect meal - very knowledgeable about the combinations and helpful with recommendations.

I have to say I was very impressed with the staff and how pleasant everyone was and our server was outstanding. She kept checking on us and made some great recommendations, which we totally enjoyed.
The food presentation was excellent and the cleanliness of the table, silverware and glasses met my OCD personality!!!

This gem of a place is our goto when we vacation in Indian Rocks Beach twice yearly. I highly recommend Angels on Horseback and that was the perfect eats watching the Derby in the bar last night. Everything we have ordered there has been fantastic. Our server/bartender, Ellen, is the other reason we keep going back! She always makes us feel like family and service at the bar is always on point.

We arrived around 7 I believe and got seated pretty quickly without a reservation. I enjoyed watching the fish swim around in their fishtail at the entrance while we waited. We got the panko fried grouper and Mahi. Service was great. We sat inside at a semi-private dinning but would have loved to sit outside if we dressed appropriately. Would definitely recommend this place!

We dined outside and it was so wonderful to see the beach and the sunset as we ate! The lobster macaroni was the best mac and cheese I've ever had! I also enjoyed their salmon and ricotta, though not to the same extent.

What a great place. They also offer a lot of gluten-free options. With a group of four we tried several plates. All were excellent. Service was very good.

Guppy's was, by far, the best meal we had during our seven day stay at Indian Rocks Beach. The soup du jour, entree, chef's daily salad, and dessert were flawless! The service from seating to wait staff was excellent. We will be back!

The food at Guppy's On The Beach is excellent. If you arrive between 4 & 5:15 pm, there is a special early bird menu where most items can be had for $19.75. The service is excellent and professional, but the servers are kept very busy since this is a very popular place in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. Eating outside can be somewhat noisy due to the traffic on the street there, but overall it is a great place to go with family or friends.

Perfect place, delicious food. Fully recommended if you want to eat real mediterranean and delicious dishes.

Service by our waiter Spencer was excellent. He was personable and efficient, but did not hover. He also accommodated special drink requests. The food was excellent. It loses a star for the tiny portions. I had the crabcake dinner, which consisted of only one crabcake. The side dishes and bread were Excellent, and necessary in order to feel as though you had a full meal. My husband has the Mahi dinner blackened. Very good!! The atmosphere was “cute rustic crab shack”. I would definitely come back, but bring a lot more money and order double crabcakes.

Second time eating here and absolutely amazing. I had the steak salad off the daily special. Husband had the Ramen and we finished with the Fried Banana Caramel Cheesecake, amazing.

We have been going to Guppy’s for years, and had to return on this very hot day in May.

Big shoot out to Anthony who handles both the bar & tables. He is very knowledgable and attentive. He always provides fast friendly service. Guppy’s offers a beautiful atmosphere, nice aquatic indoor display, nice indoor bar, across from the beach. Specializing in seafood. Great outdoor patio. It’s best to book your reservations online. Newly renovated very tidy bathrooms.

Great meal here. The grouper, scallops and oysters were all on point.

We came before the evening rush and we’re seated inside. Plenty of seating before 5pm anywhere you want plus they have an early bird menu. We opted for the regular menu offerings. Service was ok. Nothing wrong happened we just felt a little rushed. We each had a cocktail. Warm bread with olive oil was brought out first. We shared the burrata, it was very good. We had the grouper pan fried and the swordfish. Both were delicious. One of the Swordfish medallions was a little undercooked for my liking the other was perfect. With tip we spent $135.00. Of particular note, they have some really nice individual bathrooms.

Really enjoyed Guppy's a couple of weeks ago for lunch. Our food was fantastic, cooked perfect, temperature was just right. Our waitress "Amy" is a doll. She knew exactly when to check in on us to see how our lunch was, if we needed anything. This girl is sharp, fast and always smiling. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Great food and service was the best. We will definitely be back!

This place was great. Directly across the street from public parking with beach access. We tried 5 different dishes. They were all fantastic. Atmosphere was great. Serviced was good. Nice people. Felt like our server missed opportunity to sell 2 more drinks though.
