My second purchase of Ooffs flip flop. My first pair was beginning to become worn so I decided to buy another pair.

My podiatrist referred me to this store and I am pleased with the experience and price for my purchase.

Super great experience getting fitted for the perfect shoes! Chad helped me out. He was very knowledgeable and gave me lots of options to find the one that worked best for me.

I had the best shoe-buying experience at Gainesville Running & Walking. I even had to bring my two grade-school children with me to the store, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had a little play area in the corner. The owner, Mike, clearly applies great thought into how he can accommodate his customers. He and the staff are all so friendly, and they are experts at determining which shoe would best suit one's needs by observing your gate and properly measuring your feet. I went to this store to hopefully find better help than I've found at other shoe stores. I believe it was Chris who helped me and he was very good at explaining my options and fitting me into a new running shoe. I went for my first run in them today and my feet aren't sore! He also helped my stepdaughter get a pair of running shoes. I highly recommend Gainesville Running and Walking.

Bought my new favorite pair of running shoes last week. Amazing customer service and after sizing my feet, Mike made three recommendations that were simply the most comfortable sneakers I’ve ever worn. My buyers remorse is simply that I only bought one pair!

Garrett was so wonderfully knowledgeable and helpful!

He took the time to listen to my many needs-specifications, including lots of info about a variety of foot and ankle problems that I have, and then found the perfect pair of shoes that addressed all of my needs and concerns.

Garrett helped me test out a few alternatives, so that I could feel secure that I didn't need something "just a bit different" from what I ultimately chose - which turned out to be the pair of shoes that he had originally suggested :)

I've had foot and ankle problems for many years, and I could feel an immediate improvement in my walking and standing comfort with the new shoes that I purchased.

Garrett took the time to talk to me about a variety of related issues, such as ankle brace choices (I'll need to get these elsewhere, and he helped me to understand how the ones I've been using are causing problems, and what I need to do to resolve these issues), how tight to lace my shoes for table tennis competition, pros and cons of different types of socks, etc.

Garrett helped me find just the right shoes for my daily needs, while letting me know right-away that I would need to find specialized table tennis shoes somewhere else, since such shoes have very specific design characteristics. I greatly appreciate the fact that he didn't sell me shoes that were not appropriate for my "serious" table tennis matches :)

My fiancée plans to get shoes at Gainesville Running and Walking as soon as we have another chance to make the trip from The Villages to Gainesville.

The owner is patient, expert, knowledgeable and professional. He gives you all the time in the world to make the right choice for your feet.

I purchased shoes for two family members on two different occasions in the past month and each experience was phenomenal. Each had different challenges but the staff was very knowledgeable, really listened to us to find the correct shoe and make the whole experience a delight. Mike and his staff go above and beyond to find the right pair of shoes for your feet. I had been buying shoes from years but nobody took the time to measure my feet, make adjustments, and pick out the perfect pair before. I have had two generations of the same running shoe, so when it came time to buy the next generation I ordered it online in my known size and hit the trail when it came. Unfortunately for me, the manufacturer had completely changed the shoe, and it no longer worked for my foot - both my feet were falling asleep when I ran! I tried everything to get them to work, and searched everywhere for my beloved old gen and they were nowhere to be found. I was very frustrated - how I am supposed to sift through a zillion brands and models of shoes and attempt to choose one? This is why I went to Gainesville Running and Walking, and I am stoked that I did.

I tried on everything they had in store, and nothing felt quite right, but Garrett that was so knowledgeable and helpful that he pulled out the catalogs, told me what he thought I would like and explained why, and I ordered them.

When I picked up my shoes (shout out to Saucony’s Switchcheck ISO), they fit perfectly, but even better is that GRW has a 14 day “give ‘em some miles” policy to make sure you like what you have underfoot. I love these shoes, and I would have never found them on my own. As long as I live and run in Gainesville, they have my business!

Excellent service and three months later I'm still happy with my purchase.

I started Crossfit and needed new shoes to replace my ancient running shoes. The owner was there the day I stopped in. He was already helping someone else but quickly made time to help me, as well. I explained that I planned on starting Crossfit after a few years of being fairly sedentary. He measured my foot and was able to help me find a fairly low-profile shoe that also had a wide toebox (something I've always needed). I must have tried on 5 or 6 pairs, and he was incredibly patient and knowledgeable.

Overall it was a great experience and I felt like I got plenty of help choosing the right shoe, even though it was a busy Saturday and he was the only employee in the shop. I would definitely shop here again.

I needed better support in a pair of trail shoes and these guys took the time to measure my feet, explain the problem, and provide a solution. My insoles solved the problem and I have gone on to run the treads off those shoes. Consumate professionals with the patience and knowledge to keep your feet happy!

It’s a great, very personalized locally owned store! They watch your gait, measure your feet, and recommend the proper shoes for your feet. They are very patient and have excellent customer service. I will definitely go back for my future shoes.

This store has got it all! They helped me pick out the perfect shoes to train and run the Honolulu Marathon this year (Plus they are Orange and Blue, just in time for football season). They also set me up with all of the necessities that come with training for and running a big race. I love shopping local, and their prices actually beat anything I found online. They were able to custom fit the shoes to my feet so I could get just the right pair, something you really don't see anymore at the mall retail outlets. All in all, highly reccommend to the serious runner, or the person just starting out.

Gainesville Running & Walking is truly different than you run of the mill Foot Locker. I was blown away by the store associate's knowledge of footwear, and how to select a good shoe that provides both comfort and stability. And the customer service experience was second to none. I highly recommend this store!
