Firstly, I wanted to say thank you for your support to Ukraine! I really appreciate that! ❤🇺🇦 Unfortunately I was not so lucky to meet the owner to say that personally. Secondly, I was amazed with the interior, and with the cute little alarm clock for my earl gray tea. The tea and an apple pie were amazing! 😍
The interior reminded me one of the coffee shops in Ukraine, where many creative people meet to share their incredible ideas!

Good local coffee shop. Staff provides really great service and the environment is a great place to get a lot of school work done or preparation for exams. Conveniently located in downtown near bus stops. I wish it was open a little later because I would stay and grind! I love their coffee cakes as well :)

This place is awesome the owner used to travel the world and taste coffee. They make my coffee perfect every time full flavor it's great. You won't get a bad cup here. My name is Alex the macchiato guy and this is one of my favorite spots everytime I stop by gainsville. The quiches here are amazing all fresh and same with the pastries.

Volta Coffee, Tea & Chocolate is a super chill coffee shop. Their pour over section of the menu didn't really have any good descriptions of the beans and what the flavor profile were for all of them. However ,the barista was more than happy to explain all their flavor profiles to me. I had their Guatemala Lucia Pablo because I was in the mood for a coffee with floral notes and so their recommendation was spot on. It was very yummy. The mug provided was stylish too.

I'll have to try their chocolate drinks next time because it appears they use fresh chocolate and you can't go wrong with that!

What a lovely place! The service was great, they were knowledgeable and helped me choose what to order. On point and very timely. Great business to support during covid. The owner makes a special Japanese street food dish that was to die for! They also sell flour, coffee beans, honeys, and other great homegoods.

Love this local coffee shop even though I can’t fairly decide which of the local ones is my favorite (main competitors are Wyatt’s and Opus). The baristas here are very friendly and amazing customer service. What makes them unique is they only do pour overs for “regular” coffee and they offer a unique rotating menu. I have never had a bad pour over here and it’s always hard to pick from the menu. They do offer free tastings on Saturdays. In addition to the coffee they offer a wide variety of unique baked goods. The other selling feature of this shop is their boutique chocolate selection. It maybe pricey, but the selection is hard to beat. They have brands of chocolates you won’t find anywhere else in town. Fair warning it is downtown Gainesville, so parking is not free. But that is not a negative against this coffee shop.

Volta is a great coffee shop with a really nice atmosphere. The selection isn't huge, but they have something for everyone. I had their Kenya pour over and it was very good! The baristas are friendly and helpful. This is a great place to go for hanging out with friends, getting some work done, or just relaxing and enjoying a cup of coffee. I would definitely recommend Volta!

One of the best cinnamon lattes around. Usually some nice latte art, but not always. They have some food offerings. The bacon mushroom quiche was yum-my!

Volta is such a lovely space! Its one of those businesses that add charm to GNV and in its own way helps build community.
I get coffee from there atleast once a week. The baristas are really sweet! They are super knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, chocolates and food. Aside from their coffee (great selection btw) I love their Pimento Cheese Sandwich!

We just stopped for a latte, a cappuccino, and a couple of sweet bites. Everything was excellent. I think I'll be back in the morning for their brewed coffee. Looks like they have an excellent tea selection too (like tea connoisseur tea - whole leaf tea served in pots). They put a lot of thought and effort into the products they serve. Highly recommend.

Loved the experience and calm energy of the shop. The Volta Chocolate Single was really good and the Lemon Pudding was perfect. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Will definitely come back, again.

Something about their coffee is really special. Love their lattes. Great place to hang out and talk. This is the kind of place I miss from college.

Favorite coffee place in town. Their iced coffee is legitimately to die for and they have extremely pleasant flavors in every single one of their blends. The staff is welcoming and there's always something good to eat available. Fresh ingredients means fresh stock, so every time you stop by there will be something new.

The coffee here is fantastic and they brew it the right way! It may not be an every-day-cup of coffee, because of the quality, but it’s a great spot when you want something better than the main stream coffee places of the world. It also has a great atmosphere to be a meeting spot. I also saw an article where it’s ranked the #22 best coffee shop in the U.S. I highly recommend!

I tried a rose water olive oil cake from here this past Saturday on the recommendation of the cashier, and it was life changing just like she promised. I loved it so much I found a recipe online and replicated it, but I would have missed out on a revolutionary dessert if it hadn't been for her! Volta seems to hire pretty wonderful employees in general. My other 3-4 visits have been quick and enjoyable and it's typically pretty quiet there. If you go around 3pm on a Saturday, you have a better chance of finding nearby parking!

I will say that I was nervous when I walked in and didn't see "cortado" as an option on the board under Espresso. Then they say they only have medium roasts. So I explain what a cortado is and cross my fingers. Dare I say it was probably the best cortado I've had out in Florida. We also tried the farmhouse cake I believe it was called with pralines which was delicious, light, fresh and moist. Needless to say, we will return when we're back in Gainesville and hopefully it'll be as good as it was today.

Was recommended by a friend and wasn’t let down. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The coffee was wonderfully crafted. My short americano was full flavor and kept the creamy top layer of the espresso from the La Marzocco. I also would compliment the quiche. So good! And on a nice day you can sit outside or stroll and take photos with the art nearby or simply enjoy the art and and calm vibe inside the cafe.
