Love this store. The resident cat Leo is incredible. He’s a local celebrity. As far as the store goes, I just love the randomness of all the stuff they carry and it’s just fun to look around and shop here. I was able to find Sippo lighter fluid which was awesome. Thank you Ace Hardware.

I went into the store looking for an item and I was greeted by one of the nicest employees who walked around the store with me for 15 minutes helping me find what I was looking for. She was funny and really was involved in ensuring I found the right products for my project. I then went to the counter to pay for the stuff and I was told I was working with the owner. In my experience most owners don't want to interact with the public and simply hide in the back. But not Adra, she was awesome and was very engaged in providing an excellent experience. The atmosphere in the store was energized and the store was clean and organized. This is my new Ace Hardware rolling forward!

Millhopper Ace hardware is the best local hardware store. I've lived here over 50 years and been to many stores but none come close to the level of expertise and the quality of helpful employees at this location. Truly a great place to shop and learn from experts. Helpful and kind experts Plus they have a great cat.

I called Ace Hardware about a part, after I had called a few other stores. Ms. Shayna answered my call and she was extremely helpful and facilitating. She informed me that Ace did not have the produce, but she searched her company stores and identified where I may find one. She also suggested a search process and provided me with an SKU number to better facilitate the process. Ms. Shayna's service was noticeable different because she placed me on the call while asking for service from another Ace store. The response of that other attendant was markedly noticeable. Ms. Shayna demonstrated true "Customer Service." Thanks so much Shayna.

I work there, and it is amazing. Not just saying that, either. We have damn near anything you could need; even some stuff you didn't know you needed. And if we don't have it in store, we can order it for you.

The only place I was able to find the specific shade of spray paint that I wanted and cheaper than everywhere else too. I did an online order to pick up in store after work and it was easy-peasy. What really blew my mind was the CAT! What a darling angel. Also was nice to see clerks reminding the only dude without a mask that he needed to wear one!

A cautionary note to anyone beginning the path to home ownership in NW Gainesville: you're going to be coming here a lot. Like, A LOT a lot. This will come to replace Amazon Prime in a lot of ways. Ace Hardware not only has a robust rewards program where you can get great sale prices on in-store items, but this particular location has a very knowledgeable and helpful staff, many of whom will not only answer the question as to where a particular item is, but also will tell you what you need and why you need it.

We've bought a lot of items here over the past year, mainly to aid in home ownership, such as leaf blowers, drills, rakes, and other tools. They were somehow even able to save us a generator during hurricane season when they were flying off the shelves.

Edit 10/8/23: Also beware that if you don't know exactly what you're looking for, you will end up doing a lot of browsing and window shopping, which is time-consuming in and of itself!

Friendly staff helped me find items right away. Highly recommended.

Millhopper Ace Hardware is a down to Earth friendly place to get things done. I personally been there nearly a hundred times. Everyone there is so helpful that, even if they don't have something, they'll send you to a place that does. I highly recommend using this store as your primary resource.

The staff here is always very helpful. I shop here first before going to one of the big box stores.

I really like this place. The owners are very nice to talk with and have other service professionals come in to help there costumers.... like small engine mechanics.
On a side note.. they also have a cat that stays at the front desk/check out. He's a very nice cat, but if you're allergies include cat hair be warned.

Great store and great service. Bought a bunch of 2 and 3 inch plumbing fittings so my customer could do some plumbing on his house while i demo his kitchen. Parking is tight with a trailer but you can easily drive around back if you need to.

Staff are always helpful, and although I am allergic to cats, they must keep things will dusted and mopped. My allergies have not flared while shopping there. The resident cat is a joy to see. Good place to find hardware. I especially enjoy the gardening section with plenty of decorative items like solar lights.

Best hardware store ever. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and ultra helpful. If you have a project they have someone in staff who knows something about it. They help you get what you need at the best price and avoid what you don't need, and often provide some tips along the way. HIGHLY recommend.

I have shopped in Store #206 where everyone knows my name when I walk in the door for years because I know I’m won’t have to hunt for someone to help me. Yesterday I was ready to learn about and invest in an electric/battery lawn mower. I had already done my research and reviews on the two I was interested in so now I was just comparison shopping. Within 30 minutes my decision was made AND I had visited with all my local hardware staff. I purchased my new battery operated eGo mower with my value customer discount, received my operating lesson (Yes, provided on site with every power tool I have ever purchased from them thank you very much!) left all the cardboard & styrofoam with them at the store, they loaded my new mower for me and I drove home to charge my battery and mow my yard worry free.
Just saying if you need help or advice go see Adam and Robin or any of the Ace Hardware Staff at Store #206 they are the best.

Zach saved the day! I was shopping with a lady living with dementia and she suffers from a few typical behaviors - specifically paranoia and suspicion. We were shopping for locks and alarms to put on her doors to keep “the robber” from continuing to take her things. The honest person Zach is started to tell her that the particular products would likely not work for the intended purpose but with a little eye contact from me he understood the assignment! Mid sentence he told her “the perpetrator would see the lock and run” and “these type of devices make robbers stop in their tracks and think twice”. She left the store so relieved. Zach thank you for your understanding and going along with my “therapeutic fibbing”, your professionalism and patience - living with dementia is tough and you made today a bit easier ♥

The most beautiful, intelligent salesperson named Robin took care of my every need. She has the greatest attitude about life and family. Why didn't our paths cross earlier in life. I really like Robin and will be doing all my hardware purchases at Ace....

Lost all my original keys and had only a few on my spare set, which is now my main set! So I had those few duplicated, zippy quick too. Bought birdseed 🐦, had a little kitty therapy from the ginger store kitty 🐱 and was on my way. I love you Ace Hardware!
