I can't believe I came there for the first time today! It's a great place and has everything I need. We got a liquid plumber thingy that should solve out problem. The staff is wonderful and willing to help. I decided to walk around to see what else they have and 3 associates in 3 different aisles asked me if I need help finding anything. I appreciate that because when it comes to stuff they sell I definitely need help haha. Also, when they learned it's my first time there they prompted me to take a picture with Sasquatch hehe. Perfection.

Wonderful staff helped me to get just what I needed, they even refunded me the part I bought originally because it didn't fit. If you need any kind of specific part, i see no reason to go anywhere else!

Love this store, a genuine full service hardware experience. A bit bittersweet as it is a reminder of how bad other stores have gotten in terms of customer service and having just what you need instead of a sea of excess.

GR Smith is simply one of the most outstanding small town hardware stores in the business. In an age when everything is going supersized GR Smith is a refreshing staple. Warm, friendly, knowledgeable, down home service you just can’t get at the big, impersonal stores with many inexperienced new hires who are of little help. It is worth every effort to keep such local businesses patronized

This is an amazing store. They are in a fairly small building but they still seem to have everything. Their prices are spot on and they have good quality items. If I have any complaint it would be that it is impossible just to browse around, the staff is so committed to being helpful that they come ask you how they can help as soon as you walk in the door. My 12 year old son would happily stay home if we were going to Walmart but when he hears we are going to GR Smiths he always asks to come with us.

Mount Vernon gene or Smith has always been a fantastic store. The employees are super helpful in Friendly and it surprises me every time of the amount of stuff in the small store. You may pay a little bit more but you will get the right stuff and advise if you need it.

Love this store a little bit of everything. Great for home maintenance. If you need parts for old outdated fixtures this place is king. Great staff will help you find it because there's lots and lots of stuff here👍

Someone always greets me at once and asks what they can help me find. That service is always helpful. I have never been disappointed with the recommendations given! The products I have purchased were absolutely what I needed. Smith Hardware is a great community hardware store!

I live out of state but my mother lives in Fredericktown and we have gone there many time. No matter what the staff is always friendly and helpful. Prices are competitive. Folks there are not many places like this anymore.

Great place and convenient too....just wish they had longer hours. Everytime I need something it's on the weekend and they are closed before I can get there and not open on Sunday at all.. Have to go to Lowe's and I'm not a big fan at all!

The perfect hometown hardware store. Not like the big chain stores like Wal-Mart and Lowes. Excellent key makers. I always get my roof care supplies here. Curious service, easy to find location, and accessible.

These guys are knowledgeable, friendly, attentive but prices are higher than Wal-Mart....If customer service is more important though, with employees WORKING you can actually SEE, keep it local.
