Hampton Inn Athens

We stayed here overnight on our way back to Michigan from South Carolina. Our room was clean and quiet. The front desk was friendly and helpful. We were actually selected as the hotel's "guest of the day" which included a gift bag of snacks and 1,000 additional Hilton Honors points. The food at breakfast was nice, and there is a good, local sport bar / restaurant next door, so we could walk to dinner.

Stayed here while passing through on a road trip. Rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet. Shout out to Alex who provided 10/10 customer service- he was a joy to talk to and we enjoyed our conversation with him, as well as his fantastic dinner recommendation (Eclipse Brewing Co.) Thanks for making our stay great Alex!

The halls were very warm, the rooms were comfortable. An odd lamp on the desk is almost unusable. It looks flexible, but is not.
The place is clean and has enough space for the two of us. The beds are comfy too

I just returned home from a 4 night stay at the Athens Ohio Hampton Inn. I always choose a Hampton Inn hotel when I travel because they are all pretty similar so I know what to expect. I actually stayed there last year as well. What sets them apart is the customer service at each hotel and this weekend really topped the list. Your front desk employee, Ethan Faulkner, is the best I've seen. He is so welcoming and friendly and greeted us with a genuine smile. He engaged us in conversation and we told him why we were in town. I was actually in town to volunteer for a 5k run which occurs every year last Sunday in April honoring a fallen firefighter in your area. I know our group had at least 7 rooms over the weekend. We spent some time down in the lobby area and Ethan came over to check on us. He even asked us if we would like some cookies. Of course we all said yes. He went in the back, baked the cookies and came out with them along with plates and napkins. He asked us several times if we need anything, even asked if the music was ok. He was busy working around the lobby. Then on Sunday night as we were going out to dinner he asked about our run which occurred earlier in the day and asked if we'd like cookies when we return. It was a pleasure being around him and I would recommend that hotel because of him. He truly makes a difference and I felt is was important to let you know what an asset he is to your company. I hope you let his supervisors, Amber Norman and Lindsay Barnett know how much Ethans superior customer service was appreciated and valued. I don't normally write letters but in this case I felt it was important that he is recognized for his outstanding customer service.

My husband and I stay here each time we come to visit our son at college. The staff are friendly, helpful and go the extra mile to make sure we’re comfortable. Very good breakfast included and the place has a friendly vibe. Highly recommend this place.

Ahoy, travelers and weary voyagers! I recently anchored at Hampton Inn Athens, and by the seven seas, it was a haven of comfort and hospitality! The lodgings were as cozy and welcoming as a captain's quarters on a long journey. The beds were a cloud-like escape, perfect for resting a sea-weary head. The crew, as friendly and helpful as a trusted shipmate, ensured our stay was smooth and pleasant. The morning's fare, a bountiful breakfast, was as satisfying as a feast after a successful voyage. The amenities, like the pool and fitness center, were as refreshing as a dip in calm waters. The atmosphere was peaceful, a tranquil port in the midst of travels. For its comfort and excellent service, Hampton Inn Athens gets a hearty five parrots out of five from this well-rested pirate!

Excellent hotel with wonderful staff. The housekeepers were all wonderful. The breakfast is amazing and the pool/hot tub area was clean and the water was crystal clear. The fitness center is AWESOME! Definitely would recommend staying here. I have nothing negative to say about our stay other than thank you all for being kind and accommodating! Very comfortable beds and pillows. We slept very well here.

Our youth hockey team was playing at a tournament in Athens at Bird Arena and we needed a hotel that could handle a large block of rooms. From start to finish, this Hampton Inn did everything they said they would for our group. Everyone working was friendly and the hotel was very clean. The location was perfect- only about 8 minutes from campus. We would stay here again!

This is a well run Hampton Inn. You can tell the owner cares about the guest experience and it is not just a squeeze the profit out of it location.

Amber & all the staff are very friendly & helpful, we stay here whenever we go to see our son & his family in North Carolina, I highly recommend this place as a stop on your trip be it personal or business.

Amazing place to stay! Highly recommend. We went for my son's birthday because it was raining. We played in the pool, had pizza delivered and had an awesome time. The hotel staff made a note it was his birthday, so he was even given a happy birthday on our way out. The breakfast was perfect. Chocolate and vanilla waffles with whipped cream and toppings was the best end to a great stay.

Stayed here for a business trip. The entire experience was top notch. The staff were friendly and the room was quiet and clean. The location was great being only a short distance away from campus and the other local amenities. I would definitely recommend staying here, 10 out of 10.

The pet friendliness is off the charts, only thing missing was a pet fountain. They have designated pet areas outside and had a welcome baggy for our dog with treats and info on local pet friendly places and contact for the closest vet! Room was super clean and comfy, breakfast was tasty and filling.

I was impressed. Not your average hotel. Great service when you need it. No existent when you don't. Great patio that nobody ever tells you about. Restaurant quality breakfast...better in my opinion. Thank you to the hotel staff. I will stay here again.

When I walked in after driving from Virgina, a young man, who was out the door, asked me if I was checking in. I said yes and he came back in to help me out. There was another lady at the counter with one customer. It was very nice of him. He was quick, friendly and knowledgeable.
The breakfast lady was fabulous, as was the breakfast.
The rooms were very clean and quiet.
The beds were very comfortable. I would stay there again and again and again.....

We booked a studio suite and just loved the room. It's not a multi-room suite obviously, but it was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Please to see an in-room safe. The Only weird thing was that the closet had no catch to keep the doors closed, but it didn't really matter much. Breakfast was fresh and hot, and very well-managed. Tables were clean, and there was a nice selection of offerings.

Was here only for one night but the staff was great, room was clean and quite. Nice touch to have personal note from the staff acknowledging my Diamond status with the brand. There’s a nice local bar / grill called Shades next to the hotel with friendly staff and good food that was recommended by the hotel staff. You should try if you have a chance.

The hot tub is a must. The pool area very clean and warm. We were welcomed by Sierra, who was very nice and deserves recognition. She booked us in my moms name Noreen and made sure we received the utmost hospitality! Thank u Sierra and everyone at Hampton Inn in Athens ohio for such a welcoming, comfortable stay.
