This space is WAY bigger than it looks! Very friendly staff...great coffees! Fantastic place to read for a bit, catch up with friends, or even study. It wasn't loud even when busy.

Great little spot for a good cup of coffee. I regret not grabbing a Don't Drink Corporate Coffee sticker! Their coffee, Macha tea, and muffins were too amazing! Love this cozy place and their delicious options. The cranberry nut and blueberry muffins were bomb, and I recommend a fork fyi, don't skip out on the muffins

First of all, I met my husband here while he was a barista. So we are pretty fond of this place. But it's really more than that - It's really a touchstone in our lives. A place centered around community. This place knows how to love people!

Ever since I started attending Ohio University I’ve been getting my coffee here every day. The staff are wonderful and overall it’s just a chill place to be. Some of the drinks are a bit on the pricier side but I believe it’s worth it, especially since their coffee is fair-trade! I’d much rather get my $4.65 mocha from a local place like Donkey than a chain like Starbucks.

The place I first got a love for coffee. About 16-18 yes ago I came to this place, and it was a frequented place with friend's drinking coffee and listening to local bands and poetry. The chi is legendary and the coffee today was excellent. This will always be a part of my heart as I travel the world of coffee. Oh and by the way the staff was knowledgeable and extremely kind and helpful. Nostalgic

Love this coffee shop. Very cool and the coffee was amazing!

I had a 16oz Nitro Latte with Half and half. The drink was very good. The coffee flavor was perfect. Not to strong but not lost in the mix. I would get a 12oz next time because the half and half made it a bit rich. That's on me! The point is...I'll be back! Cool people with a great shop.

It is a very quaint little coffee shop with plenty of space to sit and a variety of hot and cold drinks. They have everything from coffees to teas to smoothies. Very relaxed vibe. There is always good music on, and local artworks are displayed throughout the venue. If you're craving a spiced chai latte with oat milk or just need a place to sit and work or read then this is the place.

I was recommended this spot while in town and it did not disappoint. I got their new matcha and it was FABULOUS! The staff was so kind, helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend stopping here while in Athens!

Hands down , absolutely the best coffee and freshest pastries . Went two days in a row because it was so good . If you are a chocolate lover I recommend their chocolate cherry cookies , heat it up for 15 seconds , melts in your mouth.

Great atmosphere and comfortable hideout. We were happy to choose this local shop over the nearby Starbucks when we hopped off the freeway for a break. Delicious latte and herbal chai. Friendly staff. Thanks!

Ahh! Donkey is one of my favorite coffee shops, bar none! Everyone is so friendly, it’s a wonderful atmosphere, and they’ve got great events every week to get involved with the community. Oh and the coffee is great!

This place is a go to when I visit Athens, Ohio. Donkey coffee serves fair trade, organic coffee with compostable coffee containers! I had a Iced Mocha with almond milk and shared half a blueberry muffin and half a carrot cake muffin! My favorite was the carrot cake muffin! Both muffins were fresh tasting! Fast and friendly service!

Not sure how I’m just now getting around to reviewing Donkey as I’ve frequented this shop for years. The mocha is my personal favorite but their chai and lavender beverages can’t be beat. Pastries are always on point. Customer service is excellent. If you’re not sure what to order, just ask; they won’t steer you wrong.

Dog friendly and great atmosphere. I love bringing my dog in for pup cups! :) A little more expensive compared to the other coffee shops in town, but it is worth it for high quality & ethically sourced coffee. Their drinks have a very rich flavor.

Donkey Coffee, what a splendid establishment. They brew the choicest of beans and the atmosphere is splendid to a fault. I traveled from a distant to reside in this fair estate of beanery, it was blissful. 51 out of 51, would recommend to a bean junky.

Donkey is the best for late night studies in the fall and winter. I love a hot power chai!

Pretty decent cup in a perfect coffee house situation. Need to come back on a night when they have entertainment.
