Had such an amazing time, learned so much about the history of greenport and how the museum came to be! Tracy was so interesting to listen to and made it such a unique experience! I got some serious Marvelous Mrs. Maisel vibes from her humor & story telling style and I loved it! :) The museum is free but donations are welcome and I highly recommend checking out and supporting this local gem! 💙

A hidden gem. Free admission (donations welcome), fascinating little museum crammed with memorabilia and sea-related odds, ends and info. They have a wonderful little kids room with activities, and the informative staff could not be friendlier or more devoted.

A charming museum with a really friendly and knowlegable staff. Great exhibits and history of Greenport and how the whale industry shaped the area. Took their lighthouse tour aboard the immaculate Peconic Princess.
Thank you as we really enjoyed the visit and experience.

This is a small local Seaport Museum with a big heart and great, caring people running it. They have many objects that once were commonplace, and are still fascinating. Like the lenses from lighthouses, charts and maps, nautical instruments, information on marine and terrestrial wildlife. We attended a lecture on “Celestial Navigation” which was entertaining as well as informative. There were refreshments including a fruit platter, cheese and meat board, cookies and baked goods, wine and soda – all well worth the admission even before the value of the lecture. We enjoyed the experience so much, we joined the museum and plan to return for more lectures.

Right next to the ferry & the Firefighter when she's in town. Super cool place, very cozy, crazy history. People who maintain the museum are awesome. Highly recommend. Pigeons chillin on top are always a plus.

You feel like you're at home you're part of something that's very important. The people that work there are so kind and helpful. Bob the narrator he is a special person. Bob tells the stories of the lighthouse with such feelings. I thank all of you for such a special day.

I was there about a month ago and found it to be a very interesting museum. Surrounded by a beautiful seashore in Greenport, NY, the museum had many items on exhibit and some very interesting facts about the area and Long Island as a whole. It was fun and exciting to see.

The museum is a great place to visit. Take the LIGHTHOUSE tours to Bug Lighthouse and other tours they offer. Had a great time on the Peconic Star.
