Arbor View House Bed and Breakfast

Recently, I had the pleasure of spending time at a wonderful Bed and Breakfast, with some old friends. This Arbor View House Bed & Breakfast is owned by the sweetest couple, Wilfred and Veda. Wilfred struck up many spontaneous discussions and kept us entertained the entire time. They both made our woman’s group feel at home. The bedrooms and common areas were clean, cozy, and comfortable. They supplied us with wonderful amenities, including hot coffee and tea. The house was gorgeous and was close to great sights, last but, certainly not, least, the breakfast was deliciously amazing! I personally had a delightful stay! I would highly recommend this quaint, cozy B&B to any and all looking for a peaceful home away from home.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying two nights at the Arbor View Bed & Breakfast. We had a great and warming stay. Mr Wilfred and wife Veda are great hosts and provide a comfortable stay. We loved Vedas delicious breakfast and Mr Wilfred’s delightful talks and advice for our stay. I felt so at home with old friends. I’m sure we will return.

I had a wonderful stay at Arbor View House Bed & Breakfast. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They made me feel at home and gave me great tips on what to see and do in the area. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and varied. I enjoyed fresh fruits, and all the wonderful dishes Veda served. Wilfred was always available for a chat and was very engaging and entertaining. The Arbor View House Bed & Breakfast is a perfect place to relax and enjoy Long Island. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and charming bed and breakfast.

The host Wilfred and his lovely wife were so accommodating, helpful, and hospitable. Wilfred was responsive and immediately made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was excellent too.

The room was quaint, comfortable, peaceful, and everything you'd expect.
The property was refreshing to walk through with a well-manicured garden. We even saw a hummingbird!

My girlfriend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Arbor View Bed and Breakfast, and we cannot express enough how wonderful our experience was. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and made to feel right at home.

The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean, with all the amenities we could have possibly needed. We particularly loved the comfortable bed and the stunning view of the surrounding countryside.

But what really made our stay stand out was the exceptional service we received from the innkeepers. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed and more, from delicious homemade breakfasts to recommendations for local attractions and restaurants.

The Arbor View is in a great location, close to all North Folk Long Island has to offer.

Overall, we had a fantastic time at Arbor View Bed and Breakfast and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay. Thank you to the innkeepers Wilfred and Veda for making our stay so memorable!

This is by far one of the best. If not the best, Bed and Breakfast that I’ve been to, and I’ve been to quite a few. Wilfred was very hospitable and helpful in helping us choose the right restaurants and local attractions to visit. Veda’s mouthwatering breakfast would put IHOP or your favorite diner to shame. The suite and bathroom were comfortable and clean. I highly recommend this place and I would definitely stay there again.

Wilfred & Veda, the Innkeepers are awesome people. Their Inn is like a home, & we felt as if we were visiting favorite relatives. We highly recommend Arbor View House.

Recently returned from a two night stay at the lovely Arbor View House Bed & Breakfast. My partner and I had a wonderful stay. Wilfred made us feel very at home and was always available either to answer questions about the area or to just have a friendly chat. Our room was clean and comfortable. Each morning we were greeted with fresh coffee that we would then enjoy from the property's balcony. I'll echo the other reviews here and say that Veda's breakfasts are worth the visit alone. While we only got to experience a sample of her breakfast menu, everything was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. Wilfred teased the other breakfast meals we'd receive if we had stayed for longer and I wont lie, I was tempted to see if we could extend our visit by another day. We must come back so we can try all her dishes! I'll close out this review by saying that the Arbor View's location was ideal for our visit out to North Fork. We were never far from anything, be it a winery, a beach, or a farm stand. Many thanks to Wilfred & Veda for making our little getaway a memorable time.

My hubby surprised me with a trip away (sans kids) in the lovely NOFO wine country. I can honestly say that, while we loved, loved, the wineries, restaurants, shops and beaches, what we enjoyed the most, was our time at Arbor View House with Wilfred and Veda. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. And what a home it is. The history, restoration, timeless furniture and oh the bed. So incredibly comfortable (and I’m hard to please when it comes to a bed). Our room was delightful. Large, well appointed, with gorgeous antique furniture and vibrant fresh flowers. The jacuzzi bath, with rose petals and bubbly, was seriously romantic and very relaxing. Waking to the aroma of some of the best coffee I’ve ever had mixed together with the fragrance of the amazing meal that was to come, will forever trigger the memories of this fantastic experience. But above it all, was the hospitality provided by Wilfred and Veda. We did not want to leave.. Not because we wanted more wine or cute shops. We wanted more Wilfred and Veda! So if you’re reading this, wondering where to stay, how to ensure you’ll have an amazing time, remember that living and sharing meals with the locals is one of the best ways to explore an area. And it doesn’t get any better than Arbor View. Sharing Wilfred and Veda’s home, their food, and hospitality is a unique experience that, I promise, will only make your vacation in the North Fork “most memorable”. Thank you, a thousand times over, for making my birthday one I will remember forever. I can’t wait until our next visit.

Veda and Wilfred are very pleasant, welcoming and accommodating hosts. Veda’s breakfasts were delicious, unique, and different every morning. Wilfred gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The house is charming and clean, we highly recommend staying at their B&B!

My wife and I had a great time staying here. The owners are entertaining to talk with and they make excellent food! We ended up hanging around to talk with them way longer than we expected, instead of exploring nearby. But that was all part of the fun experience. Great hosts! We stayed 2 nights to attend a wedding nearby and by the end of our stay we had 2 new friends! Thanks Wilfred & Veda!!!

Most of the time, the algorithms you instruct to find you a nice hotel or BnB serve up some mediocrity— a place that checks the various boxes, where this or that detail is “remarkable” like the above-average muffin they serve you for breakfast or the above-average bath soaps that they heard Equinox offers. But every now and then- you hit the lottery: where the accommodation is itself the experience you will most remember about the trip.

Such was our experience being hosted by Wilfred and Veda- two individuals to whom we are extremely grateful for having met- they helped create an experience we will talk about for years to come, and we simply cannot wait to return.

Wilfred is a fascinating man and conversationalist, and the man just knows about everything: meditation, electrical engineering, the New Jersey real estate market, local politics, generative AI, the list goes on. Bless her heart, Veda tolerates his garrulousness and periodically, charmingly intervenes to ensure guests can be on their way when they have an appointment, and she rewards them with the most delicious homemade baked goods. They are just hilarious, interesting, and so much fun. They don’t know what more to do for you. The two as a pair simply brought us immense joy during a two night stay on a wintry holiday weekend on the north fork.

If you are expecting the greeting “here’s your room key and here’s my number if you need anything”, this is not the stay for you. Wilfred and Veda make it their mission to ensure you have a comfortable stay, you know your way around the local towns, and they prepare a top-quality, fresh breakfast to enjoy with you in the morning. The accommodations were immaculate, and the bed was cozy. Parking and entry easy.

We were so lucky to find this gem the first time, we had to come back! Clean and comfortable are only the beginning. What really stood out was the care Wilfred and Veda showed for their guests. From wonderful conversations to delicious homemade breakfast, every detail of our stay was fantastic. Excellent bed and breakfast experience! My husband and I made our first visit to Long Island this weekend, and it wouldn't have been the same without our host's excellent recommendations. We woke up with some delicious coffee delivered to our door, and after a short walk around the neighborhood, breakfast was ready. And what a breakfast! Wilfred and Veda put out an excellent spread that kept us full until dinner time. If the area and shops didn't have us planning our return trip, the breakfast would! Big thanks to our hosts for making this a vacation to remember.

When my husband and I first arrived, we were greeted by both Veda and Wilfred. They were both warm and friendly. The house I found out was built in approximately 1790 and they manage to restore it to it's beautiful charm. Their beds were comfortable, the ambiance romantic and the breakfast was amazing. It was a blend of nouveau style with a Jamaican flare. A testimony to Veda's heritage. Wilfred is quite the entertainer while Veda is the quiet but gracious hostess. We will definitely be back. I recently stayed at the Arbor View B&B with my mother for a mother/daughter retreat after not seeing each other for a long time because of the pandemic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Wilfred and Veda in their beautiful home. Their warm hospitality greeted us from the moment we arrived. Everything is clean and immaculately maintained inside the home and outside in the gardens. We were especially happy with having our special requests met, like twin beds for each of us in the Champagne Suite, replacing the broken air conditioner in our room, and vegetarian-friendly meals. Homemade breakfasts are very delicious and so filling you will be satisfied all day long! Highlights included the veggie quiche and blueberry stuffed French toast. You are less than 10 minutes to Greenport with many boutique shops and varied restaurants, as well as all the North Fork wineries. The Shelter Island ferries are also nearby if you wish to make a day trip there or to the Hamptons on the South Fork. Thank you so much Wilfred and Veda... I am absolutely looking forward to the next stay out on Long Island!

My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend away here for my birthday. This was my first bed and breakfast experience, and wow was it amazing! Wilfred is exceptionally friendly, extremely hospitable, and just overall a great guy. His wife is an INCREDIBLE cook. The breakfast was delicious, and hands down the best coffee.. seriously, don’t hesitate to stay here! The house/room was so clean, tidy, and welcoming. We felt very comfortable, safe, and taken care of. Everything was so great, we can’t wait to come back! Thanks Wilfred!

Absolutely wonderful!

My fiancé and I spent the weekend here in March 2021 and Wilfred and his wife were amazing hosts.

The grounds were wonderful and very well kept, as were the rooms and accommodations. The common areas were warm and inviting. And how about those breakfasts - absolutely delicious at every meal!

In short, the north fork is a great place to visit for the beaches, wineries, and quieter pace. Don't think about it, just book your stay at Wilfred's and you won't regret it!

My husband and I recently stayed at Arbor View for a quick getaway without our kids. We had a wonderful time - Wilfred and Veda are such warm and lovely hosts and the food was absolutely delicious. Arbor View is immaculately clean and cozy And both my husband and I remarked on how soft the towels and how comfortable the bed was!. The location is perfect for a variety of interests – we took a short drive out to the beach, did some browsing in Greenport, had a fun wine tasting at one of the local vineyards, followed by an amazing farm to table dinner in Greenport at Noah’s. We would love to visit again!
