Burton's Bookstore

I love this bookstore. I visit every time I'm on the east end. It is small but has a great selection, and I love getting a free bookmark with every purchase.

Love you guys, always find staff helpful and they make it a friendly place. Decent selection of books at good prices and misc fun stuff, but I especially like the used section in back where I came across a few obscure, rare gems that were never reprinted.

One will soon be loaned or gifted to an old lobsterman's window I know who loves local history. Thanks guys.

Best place to buy history books. Their selection on local books is amazing and the owner and girl that works there are always extremely friendly and helpful.

Bookstores seem to be dying but if they all followed Burton's lead on selection (even non history selection) then they'd be solid.

Burton's is the kind of small town bookstore you don't find very often anymore. They always have the great stuff and all the newest ones as well. I really don't know how they do it. I always leave there with a book!

Why this is my getaway. When life gets me down there is an Oasis in Greenport NY called Burtons Books. The BEST Novels docu, and all around great books. Different from your usual book stores. Definitely the owner is the GEM that puts it all together. So knowledgeable and So KIND... Scott

Best book shop I've been to. I got Shakespeare's Othello for 5 dollars. Great place if you want to read the classics.
