The Chequit

Tavern dining is always great here. Everything I’ve tried has been spot on. Fun, comfortable, and nice atmosphere. Plenty of space at tables or bar and a pool table to boot. Had a great soup special and burger last time I was here. Friendly staff.

Now that The Chequit is under new management with a new talented chef, my team and I are obsessed with the menu and atmosphere reminiscent of southern France or St Tropez. Chíc outdoor setting perfect for large groups and their café has the best fresh pastries. Highly recommend!

Visited just for dinner with friends - everything was fresh and delicious, staff was friendly, and views were great!

Attended an engagement party here. The food was fantastic. The chef saw that we had a toddler and came out to ask if there was anything she would like then make her a special plate of her favorite (Mac and cheese). Great place for a party and for kids. Highly recommended.

Perfect place for a quick weekend getaway, whichever the season! We took advantage of the off season lower rates and came in mid February and it was a great decision! Most places in town and region are closed, but at the same it is very quiet and peaceful. It was so good to chill by the fireplace with a glass of local wine after spending the day exploring in the cold! Breakfast was delicious as well! And the room beautiful! Totally recommend this place!

Super adorable and chic bed and breakfast. I found them for a quick last minute trip and everything was great! Check in was simple, the reception staff is delightful and helpful, the room was adorable, the bed was so comfy, and breakfast the next day was great on that beautiful patio. I cannot say enough good things. So happy we found this place!

My husband and I just had the most tasty meal at a restaurant in a long time. The service was great - atmosphere unbelievable (we ate outside) and a terrific menu. You have to try the burger and Caesar salad! Try it - you will love it! BTW - the prices were fair too.

Hospitable, clean, friendly, quaint, so great overall. Perfect location. Our first time to the island and really happy with our experience. The staff was great and really helpful. We stayed from sat-tues. Only slight issue was no front desk help on Sunday and Monday night but understandable considering days of week. Otherwise, breakfast was a nice perk and cleaning staff were great too.

We were a party of 6 at the restaurant. The Asian server was wonderful. And the food was very good. Great experience.

Cozy and comfortable Inn close to the ferry and easy to access from the LIRR without a car. The rooms were minimal, clean, and comfortable. The bed was luxurious. Breakfast offered a variety of tasty options. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Cottage at the end of September and didn't have any issues with heat.

This hotel is absolutely incredible. The rooms are as clean and beautiful as they look on the photos. The staff is probably the best I’ve ever experienced. Thank you to all of the staff, especially Theresa! Can’t wait to visit again!

Took advantage of the quiet offseason for a lovely surprise weekend with my girlfriend. The hotel was beautiful and perfect, definitely worth 5 stars. However, my complements must be given more to the manager, Jason! From helping me set the room up with wine to acting like our island host showing us where to go, he was a pleasure. He even upgraded our room! His caring, personal touch is what truly made our weekend special. Thank you, Jason!

Went to the little cafe on the side and was met with excellent service, coffee, and pastries. The chocolate chip cranberry scone and oatmeal blueberry coconut cookies were amazing. The barista was also the chef, and she was very kind and accommodating.

The Chequit is a great place to grab some food and a drink the restaurant is located on the first level below the hotel and called Maple. They have nicely updated the bar and dining areas. Sunday brunch is what i went for with some friends and we had great eggs Benedict and a Burger. The atmosphere was lively with a table playing card games.

We had the best time at the Chequit. Breakfast was incredibly awesome and delicious! Jason and all of the others were always there if you had any questions and they gave very good dinner place recommendations! The room was just perfect. We were upgraded to the suite, which was so lovely styled and decorated. It was just perfect. If there's a second trip to the "hamptons" we will sure stay at the chequit! Thank you guys!

Great, weekend or weekday getaway. Ben and the staff showed us a great time. Definitely try the sushi bar or have some drinks by the firepit.

This is the most amazing Inn I’ve ever been too. Dinner downstairs was amazing, breakfast was excellently prepared, the room was divine and the management is so kind and thoughtful. Come here to stay and you won’t be disappointed.
