The best emergency room and hospital in a 30 mile radius. I’ve been here on several occasions but today for the first time for myself. Always have been taken care of professionally, nurses and doctors are some of the best in their craft that I’ve seen and I have such an appreciation for them. Went from feeling like I was dying to brand new in 4 short hours which is incredible for a ER if you’re aware of what it can usually be. Bad reviews here don’t hold any water.

In the past 8 months I have taken my 7 year old to the ER twice. We were so very fortunate to be seen by PA Erin Fallon both times. The first visit my little one had severe abdominal pain. Erin was comforting, patient and extremely kind to my son who was admittedly not easy to deal with. She was very quick to run tests to get to the bottom of the issue and provided pain relief as quickly as possible. Erin was amazing with my son but also with me as well to ensure I knew what was going on, talking me through tests that were being completed and medications that were given. She helped keep me calm so I could be there for my son. When we were being discharged I was walked through the paperwork on what to keep my eye on, when to reach out if needed. We couldn’t have been more grateful for the care my son was given. 2 weeks ago, we wound up back in the ER with my son again who was having some breathing difficulties. After triage, Erin walked into the room and right away I knew we were in the best hands possible. My son also calmed down when he saw Erin. She was able to quickly get him settled, run some tests and get him the medication needed to help ease his breathing difficulties. Again, she was so patient with my son and I and I left knowing that we had received the best care possible. I can’t thank Erin enough for the amazing care my son received. I work in the health care field and I have never come across someone so passionate about their job. She was diligent and efficient while showing compassion for both my son and I. I hope we don’t wind up in the ER again, but if we do I pray that Erin is there to take care of us. Thank you Erin!

I recently had a procedure done in the endoscopy center within the medical center. It was a wonderful experience! The staff were nothing short of amazing. They made sure that I was comfortable the whole time, answered every question that I had, understood my health anxiety / nervousness going into the procedure, and even the little things like getting me an extra blanket or helping my tie my gown (because we all know they are a pain to tie on your own when it has to be tied in the back!) of course I woke up groggy, but the nurses talked to me as I was waking up and went over results with me and made sure I understood everything. If I ever need another procedure like this, I’d definitely go to hunterdon medical center again. I felt like I was in such good hands.

We had an exceptional experience with ER staff and ICU. It was a traumatic situation when we get there and we can’t thank enough to all the amazing staff that took care of my family member. Everything was handled with perfection the presence of Rapid response team and immediate intervention by international cardiac team saved my family member life. I can’t thank the staff enough. We are very blessed with a positive outcome all because of compassionate people who work there.thank you!

Have been going for several years, to the same doctor for a medical problem. Still alive, so that is good. On the other hand the wife needed some heart help. Did not like their approach (different doctor and area) she found another doctor/hospital in a different county. Has been going to that different hospital for a year now. She did not like the Hunterdon "rush, rush" approach.

I had an amazing experience with this hospital's ED in January. The staff were incredibly kind and patient, and were sure to explain everything relating to my diagnosis thoroughly and in a way that it made sense to me.

Ambulatory Testing Center Rocks! Marisa entered my medical health history while Holly did my EKG and blood work. Talk about wonderful health care heroes with an awesome attitude! Marisa really made me feel comfortable- she’s a perfect fit interacting with people about to have surgery! I was in and out very efficiently. Thank you!

Violet is the best Nurse at Hudson Medical Center. Violet went to back for me about my plan of care when no one was listening and doctors were just making their own choices. She listened to me and advocated on my behalf! Please promote her! She deserves a raise and a bonus! I was in so much pain and crying in my room and the medication I was switched to by the surgeon wasn't helpful and didn't do what he said it would. I told Violet my concerns and she said let me try one more time and she did and succeeded! She is a nice person and an amazing nurse! Also Lisa in the ER she is another top tier nurse! She was kind, caring, and made sure I was heard. She made me laugh and when my arm got hurt in CT she kept me calm and made sure it was handled accordingly.

Had an excellent out patient experience here. Everyone from the admissions staff (Diane was wonderful) to the nurses on the 2nd floor working in endoscopy. Everyone was kind and friendly. Made the experience enjoyable.

Emergency room staff was amazing. I was seen quickly because my hand was broken. Triage nurse was the sweetest, my nurse was lovely, x-ray tech was quick and kind, the PA attending to my case was knowledgeable, friendly, and very nice as well. The PCTs that applied my soft cast were so so sweet and gentle. I didn’t even feel like I was in a hospital and I was treated so well. People were constantly coming in to see how I was doing and making sure I was comfortable. If I could give more stars I would!

I’ve been coming to this hospital all my life and while you may have to wait a pretty long time to be seen (depending on what you come in for) every single nurse, doctor, front desk personnel, radiology tech, EVERY PERSON is so kind and warm and wonderful. They are so caring and do everything they can to make sure you feel safe and comfortable. To me, it’s worth waiting the extra time to know that I’ll get quality care as well as compassionate bedside manner. This hospital has the best staff in my opinion!

My friend was in the ER unable to hold down any food or drink. Daria his
nurse was so caring and helpful and had great advice for .myvfriend that actually solved his problem thanks so much!!!

Great Experience with all The Staff , Our Daughter was born here and I have nothing but great experiences with everyone here , Our Nurses Lori and Nichole were excellent, put a lots of attention to my wife and daughter with everything they need it . Detail attention to all their necessities and needs. I thank you all for making this experience a great one that will never forget . God Bless you all .

My experience here was amazing. I had a rough delivery and am a first time mom. The nurses and doctors were beyond compassionate, understanding, and helpful. I have nothing but good things to say about them

My review is for the Cafeteria crew. They are an absolute delight! They always give me a smile. And Virginia your cleaning girl, is always so sweet. Never let them go. 😉❤

Thankful to the ER staff, radiology and Er registrar who helped my 18 year old son on the night of February 17th. Never been injured before, my son sustained a wrist injury( fracture) playing basketball while on a college retreat. My son had so many kind words to say about all of his caregivers and for the exceptional way they treated him. As a parent and as a Nurse (who was hours away and couldn't be with him), I couldn't be more grateful.

I don't ever write reviews, but seeing the terrible experience of so many here, I feel compelled to do so. My mom was taken by ambulance and intubated on the way to the ER. The moment I got there, they ushered me into her room, and there were countless people attending to her. Prior to being moved to ICU, 3 physicians from that dep't came to speak with me and asked as much about her medical history as possible. Mom was in ICU for 2 days and with 100% certainty, I can say her care was beyond exceptional - everyone on her medical team, collectively, kept her alive and comfortable until we were able to take her home and my family is grateful for the week we had my mom. Had it not been for the incredible care, we would not have had the opportunity and that is all we could ask for.
We've never been to Hunterdon Medical, having gone to another large hospital in the area for 15+ years. I am understanding of the fact that medical facilities are in dire need of staff, but the outrageous and negligent care was none like I have ever experienced. Had I not stayed by her side on the 3 or 4 times she was admitted to that hospital and remained involved with every treatment or test...my mom would not have survived. As an example, the ambulance brought her in for congestive heart failure, after hours of waiting in my car (due to COVID) with no answers, I was told they treated the blister on her heel and were surprised she came in by ambulance for that!! I have countless, sad stories that broke my heart thinking the other patients didn't have advocates. My family will forever be indebted to all those that cared for our mom as we were given more time with her than we ever thought.
