La Dolce Bakery

I recently bought a rum birthday cake from La Dolce Bakery. First I would like to say I called at least 20 bakery's in Monmouth and ocean county asking if they could do a rum cake. All places that claimed they do custom cakes and as well as wedding cakes, but did not know how or couldn't do a standard Italian rum cake. Never heard of La Dolce Bakery, but a friend told me to give them a try. I called. The woman who picked up the phone was extremely polite and knowledgeable. She said no problem she could do a rum birthday cake, what a relief. The day I picked up the cake was the first time I was in the bakery. They had so many yummy pastries, cookies,bread, desserts. You name it.
That night my father inlaw who the birthday cake was meant for. Has had rum cake since he was little from so many Italian bakeries. A place in Staten island that claims to have the best rum cake. Well this is false. He took 1 bite and was hooked. Most delicious rum cake he has ever had. Other family members who never had rum cake, were like this is the best cake I've ever had. Coming from my family, that's a lot. I can't say more about how happy I was. If anyone is thinking of having a birthday cake. Definitely go to La Dolce, you will not regret it.

Italian bakeries are my go to and this one is definitely one of the best! All of the pastries look so fresh and they taste so good! I’m usually not a fan of bakery cookies but the ones from here are amazing, on top of the huge variety of pastries they serve! The people at the counter were so friendly and made the experience worth it! Definitely try their rainbow cookies and their cannolis for sure!! I will be back!

This place is the best bakery in all of freehold, Awesome bread..the best around. Cookies, pastry, cakes, apple turnovers delicious. I can’t believe this place doesn’t have a line waiting to get in. This place reminds me of when I was a kid growing up in Brooklyn. To all you Italian people out here best place around. You must try ! Great service, and the women behind the counter are delightful.

My only regret with this place, is I did not buy more baked goods! I asked if one of the cookies were soft, so the lovely nice lady gave me a free sample. The customer service 10/10. The flavor of the goodies 10/10. The amount of cakes/cookies is just phenomenal! I will definitely be back! Thank you for being so kind to me when we arrived in your store! I would post pictures of what’s inside. But I think that isn’t fair to the customers. I want them to be in shock and surprised when they walk in as well like I did. EXTREMELY FAIR PRICED!!!

We had such a wonderful experience with La Dolce bakery. Not only did the cake for my baby shower look amazing it tasted amazing too. They were extremely helpful with picking out flavors, serving sizes etc. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for cakes/baked goods for special occasions.

Ordered a delicious canola cake for my daughter's birthday. It looked beautiful and tasted delicious. They did an excellent job. Everyone at the party was very happy.

Ordered 3 custom cakes with photos, they were absolutely delicious and looked amazing. I recommend asking for extra filling, it really takes the cake up a notch.
They are on point with recommending flavors. I usually don't eat frosting on cakes, but I definitely enjoyed this one completely.
I can't wait for another occasion to order a cake.

Love this little bakery. I make up excuses to pick up birthday cake . Fresh and delicious. Cookies and mini pastries are delicious also pick up a few .

All I can say is “DELISH”. Brought pastries and cookies to a friend’s party and what a hit!! Don’t even get me started on how good the bread is! Will definitely be a repeat customer for sure!!

Ordered a Halloween birthday cake here! I drew out what I was looking for and La Dolce exceeded so many expectations. Beautiful and delicious!!

Walked into this bakery and it immediately took me back to Brooklyn. So traditional. Loved it. I had only hoped the cheesecake was just as good. YES! This has to be the best cheesecake I have ever had homemade or store bought. Creamy, tasty and just makes you want more. I am always hesitant about cheesecake because if it’s in the fridge too long it seems to absorbs all the flavors in the fridge and get a weird taste!!! This was like it was chilled right out of the oven that day!! And because they looked so good, I bought Nutella Squares for the office, they also did not disappoint! Like it was just make!!
I found my new goto bakery. Nice job!!!

Best bakery in Freehold! Blows Bruno’s away! Got a cheesecake from Bruno’s and it tastes like it has no cheese in it! Got one from you and it is delicious! Your pastries were a big hit at Christmas! You also have wonderful cake and bread! Thanks a million!

I heard this bakery is very good and so I decided to give it a try for my husbands birthday. The strawberry custard cake I bought was beyond words and the seven layers (Rainbow cookies) were amazing!!!! The spumoni were not my favorite but it was the first time I had them, but omg the cake was soooo good, moist, fresh and the perfect amount of sweetness. The service was great as well.

Ordered a cannoli cake for pick up, and it was delicious, just like everything they have. But more importantly then that, it is one of the most busiest weekends for them and the staff had smiles and great vibes. Making customers laugh, and very friendly. Everyone is doing a lot more with a lot less, and now more then ever positive, friendly vibes should be appreciated. You guys are the best, thank you!

Ordered a cannoli cream cake for my wife's birthday. Excellent by far best bakery in Freehold. My daughter is pastry chef she gave 5 stars. So thank you La Dolce keep up the good work. Just ordered another cake for the wife EXCELLENT again. Will order next year as well.

I discovered this gem on accident ( lucky me ). I was a little early ( 8:10 bummer) so I went to Walgreens to pick up somethings. I finally got in , so much to choose from ( this could be dangerous).
I decided on (2) fudge brownies, (3) chocolate moose, (2) chocolate/peanut butter, all are absolutely delicious ( yummy 😋). The two women that were working were very friendly ( very cool 😎).
An absolute must if you love baked goods. 👍👍👍👍👍

I have never ever experienced a bad situation with this bakery. I order ALL my cakes here, including Birthday cakes and my Grandson’s Holy Communion cake! All the cakes were just fantastic as well as my guests telling me so! The detail on all cakes were beautiful!

I am always reluctant to buy pastries anywhere south of Newark NJ. I have to say hands down the best sfogliatella I've ever had. Even better than Italy. My only regret is I didn't buy more. Can't wait to go back.
