What a find! Of course, I'm sure the only We got a table with a great view as quick as we did was because it was christmas eve afternoon. But dang am I glad that we stopped! What a beautiful view, terrific food, and excellent service.
My husband said it was the best breakfast skillet he has ever had. The veggies were huge and so fresh. The Vegan chorizo made it even more enjoyable.
The Brunch burger was perfectly seasoned.
The waffle fries were awesome.
Highly recommend and hope we can get a table here again!

Everything we ordered was so so delicious. Especially the pulled pork beef sandwich 👌🏻
The prices are also really good and everything was affordable.
And the view from the restaurant, especially when the weather is good, is just amazing.

Charlie’s On Prior is an upscale dock side eating establishment that specializes in with my family affectionately calls “vacation food”. In the summertime, there is ample outdoor seating, and that’s when it really shines. If the weather is nice, you’ll have a beautiful open air view of Prior Lake. A fun, upbeat soundtrack (“Summer Breeze” by the Isley Brothers) to set the stage for a picnic style atmosphere. The seating is mostly stools and high tops and there is ample shade provided by awnings and table umbrellas. We ordered shrimp tacos, a pulled pork salad bowl, a buffalo chicken wrap, and steak tacos. Everything was well-prepared with all the expected flavors with a couple of exceptions: the cilantro lime rice (ordered as a side) stood out as remarkably bland, and the 3/4 cup of Elote Corn (nice to see on the menu) was not worth the up charge. Our bill for four people came to around $80.

They have a very small parking lot, but mercifully provide free valet, parking for a lot that is right across the street. It’s a little awkward, with the valet stand situated near the parking lot entrance, as opposed to near where you walk in the restaurant, but it’s a nice service.

Overall, our family felt like we were on vacation for about an hour. We were very pleased with the food and the atmosphere.

My bowl was one of my favorite things I've had in a long time! It was so good! My daughter loved her burger as well. First time ever eating there as I don't live out that way. However, it would be worth the drive to go again! At outside as it was a beautiful night. Our server was awesome!

Amazing experience! Me and my husband stopped by for the first time last weekend and were amazed with this place! Delicious food and drinks, great customer service and beautiful views. Next time I'm in town I'm definitely coming back for more fried avocado!

This restaurant was delicious. I came here with my best friend for dinner. We both ordered burgers. I ordered the breakfast burger with kettle chips. It was great. My friend ordered a bacon cheese burger with gouda hashbrowns on the side. He enjoyed his meal too. I ordered a grasshopper to drink. I really liked it.

The only lakeside restaurant on Prior Lake. Beautiful view and plenty of outdoor seating for good-weathered MN days. Casual dining atmosphere. Staff is friendly and efficient. Varied menu for whatever American food you're in the mood for - pizza, fish, tacos, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, apps, beer, and more.

Chris Rooney Home Experts has had a long history with Charlie's On Prior. Our owner, Chris Rooney, once owned the restaurant when it was called Captain Jack's and worked there when he was younger. The restaurant has always been a favorite of the Rooney family, and they can't help but feel proud when they go back. The views from the restaurant are stunning and the food is amazing! The wait staff are always friendly and helpful, and the environment is fun and welcoming. The outdoor seating is a great spot to enjoy the sun and a cold drink. All in all, Charlie's On Prior is an excellent restaurant and a great place to celebrate special occasions. Highly recommend!

This place is always hopping with people, the views are amazing! They had a fire pit going outside, the sun was setting, people were friendly. It’s always a welcoming place and the food is always good.

We love loved this restaurant I had a salmon bowl was the best I've had. Husband had Birria tacos they were excellent not to mention the views. Great service. Great choice.

Delicious food, great atmosphere and beautiful views! Ordered the shrimp tacos and they were delicious. The only thing is I wish they would add more shrimp to the tacos.

Hands down one of the best waterfront restaurants I have been to. My husband and I were in Minnesota celebrating our 8 year anniversary and found this place online and decided to try it and boy am I glad we did. The view was amazing, the food was mouth watering and the wait staff were fantastic! The restaurant is clean, has three different levels of seating and a wide selection of entrees to pick from. The environment is fun and welcoming and everyone we talked to was super helpful. If we are ever back in this area again, we will definitely make another stop. Highly recommend!

Oh my gosh I can’t even begin to explain the positive experience we had here!! I made a reservation early afternoon for my boyfriend’s birthday, and it was exactly what I hoped for, and some! We had a table right on the edge of the balcony staring out to the lake. The second we pulled up I felt warm by the comforting and invited atmosphere. They were so fast on our food too!, our waitress was amazing and if she didn’t have time to send the food out they would send a couple helpers to do it. We also witnessed the people helping the boats pull up from the lake so they could eat there too. The work ethic of every single employee showed just how much they must take care of them, and how much they must love working there.

We started out with chips, and we decided to try each three dipping options. It was the best idea ever. We also had boneless for an appetizer. I had the shrimp tacos and he had the two meat platter. I tried some of the pulled pork he had and it was phenomenal. The shrimp tacos however were fantastic! Although I asked for spicy sauce, but this sauce was the spiciest sauce I’ve ver had. My mouth was on fire. If you are sensitive to spicy, or even if you like spicy, just watch out for this one.

When we left we felt full and happy as hell! I want come here so many more times, and hopefully in the same table looking out over the water. BEST after noon meal I have ever had, honestly!

The food was fantastic. The clubhouse sandwich includes ham and cheese which are two items not usually found on the clubs. Although an unnecessary extra it added to the variety of taste. I ordered without mayo (personal preference) and got the fries as a side. I should have asked for unseasoned because they were salty but that was my error. My wife got the blackened salmon sandwich with no salt fries. It is rare to find a place that gives the option of blackened salmon on a sandwich. She raved about the taste. I could not finish my club so we took the fixins home. The toasted bread (like a Texas toast) made it more difficult to get my mouth around for each bite. It was a little under toasted in the middle and got doughy with the tomato, and moisture from the meats. The atmosphere was extremely loud with all the people talking over each other in a narrow rectangular restaurant with a bar looming in the middle. I almost asked my wife if she wanted to leave. The view of Prior Lake was unmatched. A cloudless sky, azure water, absent of wind and waves. The price was acceptable for the food, service and location ($50.00). Overall an acceptable exceptional experience.

I celebrated my birthday at Charlies on Saturday July 8th. Jarvis was our server - he was amazing and made our entire experience beyond wonderful. We were a party of 14 people which can be challenging in itself - sitting outside was the bonus on a perfect summer day! Thank you to the host who made that happen. The food and drinks were all superb too. I can't say enough good things - the best birth day to remember.

Family of 6. Wife and I are from Illinois. Daughter and her family live nearby. The food was great and so was the service! We all enjoyed the visit very much! Would definitely come back!

Lovely lakeside bar & grill experience right on Prior Lake. You know it's good when the pull-up marina is full of customers trolling in and out. That, and the happy crowds filling up the place on Friday night - we were one of them! Came for the walleye, and it was excellent. Great drinks too. The atmosphere on the patio decks felt like a vacation. Lots of tables both indoors and out. We came after the happy hour rush and had no wait for the patio.

I've dined-in for lunch and also catered before and the food is always amazing.

The Mexican corn is great if you're looking for some esquite, and the bbq plates are also a favorite. Really can't go wrong with the food but if you can't decide, the waitresses always have great suggestions.

Always a great place to go when nice out. Sat on upper deck overlooking Prior Lake. Beautiful view! The food was delicious! I recommend ordering the pretzel to share with a group of 4 or take home leftover.
