The Best Steak House- White Bear Ave

This was my first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised!! I assumed it was just "fast food", but not even. We got there a little after 5 pm, and it filled up quickly behind us. I ordered a NY Strip and they grilled it perfectly. I have no clue how that young man can keep track of all the different orders he's cooking at once, but he was impressive! Food was excellent and the atmosphere was fun. I'll definitely be back!

First time experience for my son; he was impressed.
Steak and shrimp & baked potato were all hot and delicious. Salad bar was easy to make as moved thru line. (Didn’t feel rushed).

This is the best steakhouse I’ve ever been to. It’s relatively cheap. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. It’s changed since Covid but the food is still the same greatness 😊

I've always loved Best Steak House. You get a TON of food. This location is very friendly and the food and service is great!

The Best Steak House on White Bear Ave is open again after being closed for renovations following a huge fire.

I just enjoyed their New York Steak and 3 Jumbo Shrimp. Man am I stuffed!

I will return and next time I will bring my brother. My brother and I used to eat here all the time. 5-Stars out of 5-Stars!

Everything is great here from the food to the service. Each day there is a different lunch/dinner special. Really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. So glad they rebuilt after the fire and hope they are around for a long time!

Missed this place!!!! Glad it's back and delicious as before. Well worth the money and wait! Family atmosphere, makes me feel like I'm visiting a relative for dinner. 😁

Update: Refreshed space, same great characters making the experience wonderful. I’ll skip the NY strip and go for another option next time, but gracious service and kind employees. | Great service, clean. Lunch specials are good and fair for the value. Charismatic cook makes the experience in full, joyful and excited to great the many diverse people who visit the Best Steakhouse regularly. The western-theme fixtures and decor are a lovely touch. Salad bar is clean and usually well stocked. The medium rare steak I ordered is usually cooked perfectly, and of course keeps cooking after grilling. The cook is the soul of this restaurant!

Been going here for 15+ years. Went through a divorce. Heart breaking break ups. Had kids... yada yada! and this is my constant. I travel across town for this place.

If I could give 6 stars I would. If you’re a steak snob or picky - please don’t waste time here. Go blow $30-80 on your fancy steaks elsewhere. The value of this price is incredible. Like having dinner or lunch at your hard working blue collared grandparents home.

I’m a steak expert - I grill, smoke, and even sous-vide. I’ve been to all the local spots like Manny’s, Murray’s, Ruth Chris, and Jax... even Outback and Roadhouse. I love steaks but sometimes you don’t want to spend the $$$ or too lazy or it’s too hot outside to make steak... this place is a great go-to. The $6.50 lunch specials is a great value. If you’re not in a steak mood, their Gyro’s and Philly Steak sandwich is awesome. Get there early for the Philly’s... they run out quick.

Additionally, nice friendly no non-sense staff.

Update: April 2024. They are finally open again and I am sooooo happy 😊 Prices are a little bit higher but still one of the best values in the Twin Cities! Will be going back over and over with friends and family!

Everytime we come, the good is cooked to perfection. Staff is attentive by saying hello and thank you for coming to eat here. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Thanks for serving up suck amazing food to our community.

Was here with a buddy of mine and his girl and her family last Thursday (May 30) after a hard days work and we had dinner here around 6pm. I got the chopped steak, I don’t know what they got. Food was amazing as well as the service and atmosphere . A bit expensive here, but overall the best steak I’ve ever had in my 32 years of life. I’m not from around this area, but I will return if ever I’m around again.

Food is delicious, though sometimes the accuracy of the how well a steak a person requests are sometimes off. Some days they get it right some days are wrong. Otherwise, it’s good! Steak is good but the salad is mediocre and honestly could be better.

The service is always amazing. The owner greets us with a smile and the smells of food are always welcoming. The place is always clean and absolutely no complaints on the service. The food is always hot and it never takes long to prepare almost any order. I definitely recommend the place, it’s in an convenient area.

So Tender and Tasty, it was Magnificent. Comes with Salad Texas Toast, and Grilled Baked Potatoe.
Great Service, Awesome new Dining area. Spacious seating, friendly atmosphere.

So happy your back open, been coming to this best steak house since i was a kid, now as a grandma its still the best food and prices around....allways great service and awsome food.....thank you guys for reopening, after that horrible fire......i can say we all appriciate from one family to another.all the care u take into being the best. Guess why your called The BEST steakhouse or aka ari's best steak house.
By the way i love the pictures in the back with the family and workers...with the detailed linning of the old wallpaper.it made me tear up. But made me super happy!

We loved this place before the fire, now after the fire it is even better. The food and the staff are awesome! Great steaks and gyros!
