Edelweiss Bakery and Wine Bar

Fresh and delicious bakery goods. Textures and appearances were perfect.  They are extremely busy,  so everything is fresh.  Flavors really pop. The line was long, but employees seem to be working quickly.  The seating area was clean, but busy. They are expensive,  and worth it for a special treat.

The food is consistently great but get there early because the best stuff always goes fast! For a bakery, the service is really pretty good. The service staff that has worked with me has always been pretty young which means they are really willing to help but not yet always proactive in finding creative alternatives when they are out of your first choice. But if you keep asking questions they always seem to find a delicious and very equivalent substitute. This is one of my favorite spots in Prior Lake. Very much worth a trip!

My family has gone to this bakery for years and we love it! Staff are always friendly too. Beware there’s always a bit of a line since it’s pretty popular so give yourself an extra 10 minutes but workers move the line swiftly. Definitely recommend!!

Edelweiss Bakery’s caramel rolls and coffee are great! They also have friendly staff and an inviting new decor!

I visited here 2 weeks ago with another gal for a lovely happy hour. The atmosphere is warm and inviting especially after dark. We arrived around 5pm but it filled up pretty quickly. We enjoyed a couple glasses of wine and one of their boards. There was also many desserts and pastries available in the front case but we will filled up on the board. It would probably serve 3-4 people as it was way too much for 2 of us.

My family comes here often. We normally take out but today decided to eat in. Even with it being minus 8 degrees outside there was still a short line but it moves fast. This place is clean, fast, friendly, and best of all the baked goods are much better tasting than you get in a store. A great gem for Prior Lake.

They're no Patisserie 46 but, imo, they can definately hold their own which is saying a lot. The quaint atmosphere and welcoming vibes make this the perfect spot for a quick sugar and caffeine fix any time of the day. I did not try their lunch sandwiches and their breakfast sandwiches were alright but their danishes and almond croissants were perfectly flaky, tasty, and hit the spot. Their opera cakes were also perfectly balanced. With an enticing selection of other desserts and donuts, it is surely worth the stop.

**Edit: I stopped by to try more goodies. Their lunch panini sandwich was okay but their little cakes were SO stinkin tasty and not overly sweet.

My partner and I love coming to this place. It's our weekly Sunday date spot. They have an AMAZING bakery selection. We have yet to try a baked good that we haven't liked. On the other hand, coffee/espresso beverages are only okay. Their house orange juice and other rotational drinks make up for what the coffee lacks.

The food was delicious and pastries were excellent! Only downfall was trying to get a seat; it's a tad crowded and a smaller space but I would definitely still stop and grab some food!

Great little small town bakery that also serves great food for lunch at an affordable price. Ordered a club sandwich and coffee. It was served fast and the sandwich was fantastic. My only wish is that it had longer hours.

Yummy to the Italian pesto bread, the raisin walnut room soo delicious I had the whole bread for lunch. Works doing construction. The Dutch baklava was amazing and the almond croissant was so delicious and sweet. Thanks all for your talents and passion in making great food and coffee. This local bakery and coffee shop is the place to be. Dont miss out and you wont regret it. !! Thanks girls. Your spectacular!!

As a local real estate brokerage, we are so pleased to have Edelweiss Bakery and Wine Bar nearby! They are known for great donuts and pastries, but you have to try the granola mix - amazing! A kind and helpful staff, lovely atmosphere and packed with locals who line the downtown waiting to get their prized choice!

Nothing short of amazing!

My Mom ordered these custom “bride” and “groom” 8 in. rounds and an additional two square cakes for our wedding shower. I picked them up on an extremely busy day (Saturday) while there was a market going on that morning. The line was out the door and nearly on the street. I had no idea this place was so popular!

The staff was incredibly helpful to us getting all four (4) cakes for our event that afternoon with clear instructions to make sure they stayed in great condition beforehand.

Our friends and family just LOVED them. The flavor pairings are incredible and the cake itself is so moist. We couldn’t be happier - beautifully decorated. I even have froze part of the cake to enjoy after our wedding to enjoy since we’re going non-traditional.

I recently visited Edelweiss Bakery, located in the heart of Prior Lake, a brilliant blend of a bakery, cafe, and wine bar. I was lucky enough to share this experience with my mother and sister who were in town for my birthday. Our meal started with a croissant sandwich, filled with sausage, egg, and pepper jack cheese. This sandwich was more than just a meal, it was an experience. The croissant was perfectly baked - crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and the filling was rich and flavorful.

It was amazing.. Love the atmosphere and the ambiance of the place. Soo welcoming and cozy. So was the food.. Loved the tuna melt and caprese grilled sandwiches 😍

We love Edelweiss Bakery in Prior Lake, so when it came time to order a small wedding cake, my first thought was of them. I worked closely with Laurie, the owner, to create something we would love. We wanted chocolate upon chocolate with candy and chocolate covered strawberries. We also wanted pretty. And wow did Edelweiss deliver! We were thrilled with how pretty it was, going over every detail and ooo-ing and ah-ing before our meal was over and it was time to dig in. The cake was moist and the frosting not too sweet, creamy and delicious. The chocolate covered strawberries on top were beautiful and very tasty and the other pieces of candy were wonderful too. There were many yummy noises at the table while we were devouring it. I can't recommend Edelweiss Bakery in Prior Lake more highly. Loved working with them on this and love this little piece of bakery heaven in our town. Thank you!
