Kruse & Muer on Woodward

The food was really good and they were very accommodating to our large party of over 20 people for a company promotion meeting. The oysters were cold but I think it was bc they had one server for us which I understood they still needed the other waitresses to staff the other side of the restaurant. Justice was really good! She did all she could! I hadn’t been a few years but the food is always great, especially their house bread! Their pizza is one of the best things on their menu surprisingly. That jerk chicken pizza is unmatched! Now I want to grab that as a carryout this week. Lol

What a delicious late lunch/early dinner. It had been years since eating at Kruse & Muer & they did not disappoint!

We enjoyed the Gazpacho & Charlie’s chowder & Oyster Rockefeller. For dinner we had the blackened Salmon and Seafood Panroast (so yum) !!

Our server Savannah was FANTASTIC !! She checked on us many times, she answered questions from us & if anything was amiss she did her best to resolve.

It was a bit loud in the restaurant from the patrons. It may not be the place for serious conversations. But if you are looking for serious flavors, food & service = YES 😊

Thus was my first visit to this location, but I go to Kruse frequently. I had their lobster bisque for the first time, as it's seasonal and wow. I've never enjoyed lobster bisque like theirs. I like the ambiance and their food is great.

The crab cakes were amazing. Staff was very helpful and friendly. You get awesome bread with your lunch. Parking was easy. It is a nice place for business lunch or dinner.

I visited today for lunch. We were greeted at the door promptly and seated immediately. The staff was friendly and efficient. The service was great and the food was delicious. I had the crab cakes, veggies and we shared the jerk chicken pizza. I will delicious be going back.

Kruse and Muer is our reliable Friday night go-to. If you're looking for a reliable go-to for any day or night, I'll tell you why Kruse should be at the top of your list.

First, we don't go out to eat just for the food. We go for the service. I want the waitstaff to bring drinks, food, follow-up, CLEAR PLATES, refresh drinks, and be friendly. Kruse on Woodward does exactly that. If you do make it one of your regular stops, don't be surprised when the staff starts calling you by name, asks for your favorite drinks, and other staff (not just your waiter/waitress) stop by the table just to say, "Hi."

The food is solid. I don't think there's anything there I wouldn't order again--but I do have my favorites.

Every meal starts with fresh-backed bread. Get the bread. Don't be shy about smearing whipped butter on it. Just tear off a piece, butter it up, and enjoy. They'll keep bringing more loaves if you keep ordering them. Take one home.

I nearly always order the French Onion soup to start the meal. What I like about Kruse's French Onion is it's served hot. I think all soups should be served hot. Oh, and you can use a piece of bread to soak-up the broth at the end.

My wife nearly always gets the fish tacos. You can order it three different ways--one of them is blackened.

Other favorites are ANY seafood pasta, oysters, mussels (a couple different ways), ribs, and the best re-creation of Hudson's Maurice Salad I've had in the Detroit area.

And of course, if you get the mussels you can soak-up the broth with the bread.

We like to walk-in without reservations before 6PM and try to get seats at the bar. If not at the bar, then hi-tops near the bar. It's our favorite part of the restaurant because that's where we can follow games on the bar's TVs.

It's normally our first stop on Friday nights. Hope to see you there.

Service was great for our party of 9 on a busy Mothers Day. Food was good and no one sent anything back to the kitchen! Will be back! Nice assortment of 🍸 drinks at a good price 👌

The food was amazing and the gluten free pasta was excellent. We both ended up getting the Lobster and Shrimp Fettuccine and loved it. My fiancé got the clam chowder which I wish I would have gotten because it was delicious.

We ate here yesterday for my moms 65th B-Day. I want to start out by saying my family is full of fun but sometimes could be too much to handle, not in a bad way! The manager who accommodated us was outstanding, I wish I knew his name.
Planning this dinner, I knew 7 people, no more than 10 total, would be celebrating, but noooooooo, it turned out to be 15 of us. The manager may have been flipping out on the inside but handling it with grace on the outside. Kudos to him, that meant a lot to me! There were a few mistakes made, but the server was so busy and still very attentive with the 15 of us that I withheld from saying anything. Having a great personality, patience, and not folding when under pressure will go a loooong way in my book, so thank you, not to mention that alllll of our food was great, very tasty!
Now, I don't have long pockets, and with 15 people, I couldn't foot the hole bill, I only had to worry about my mom on her day so the only downfall to the night was having to sit there and calculate what each person had to eat and drink plus tax and graduity because they don't give separate bills.
So with that being said, there were a few things on the bill that wasn't claimed and I don't know if it belonged to people in our group or if it was a mistake because the quantity of some things just wasn't adding up with our party but whatever, again because of the outstanding service, I was able to overlook it but I did get stuck paying $50 on top of my bill lol. At the end of the day, my mom, with her funny tipsy self, had a wonderful time. Thank you so very much. Just beautiful!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

We had a lady's brunch and really enjoyed the food and service. Pictured is the Coconut Encrusted Flounder, Salmon Apricot Salad,Tortellini & Grilled Chicken pasta, and the smaller portion of Martha's Vineyard Salad.

I shared a bite of the founder, which was so yummy! And my meal was the pasta & smaller salad. As someone who doesn't eat much meat, I was very happy with how the chicken was sliced thinner and in pieces that matched the tortellini in size. The sauce was excellent. I LOVED the salad and very much liked the Raspberry Maple Vinaigrette dressing.

I also had a glass of Moscato and had a sip of the mango lemonade, both are VERY tasty. Everything was perfectly prepared and I definitely plan to come back again. Syd was our waitress, she was very attentive and helpful.

Ask the bartender for a water didn't get one had to ask him one more time didn't get one The third time I asked didn't get one so I asked the lady for one and she had it. Was not happy I don't know if He had something else on his mind and wasn't listening. But overall my first time in love the placemats with all the different restaurants that used to be around.

I've passed this place a gazillion times and wanted to try it! Welp the ladies and I loved the ambiance, service and the food.

Especially their in House/ Bread and butter and my fav....Calamari!!!! We'll definitely be back 😊😋😋😋 🥘🥗🍤

Alyssa served our table and she was wonderful! Service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious. My grandma and I had a great time.

I wanted to check this place out for a while. Then COVID hit and delayed me from checking it out. Last Sunday, I finally made it.
I met up with a friend for dinner. The place looks great on the inside. I like the open ceiling design, and the bar looks fantastic. And it is nice that they have made a place for outdoor dining.

I hard a hard time deciding on what to get. Everything on the menu looked and sounded delicious. I ended up landing on the Blackened Twin Filets, with Fries. Everything was delicious. I have also to point out that the bread you get is fantastic.

My buddy went with Jimmy's Lake Perch. He said it was delicious.

I forgot our server's name. She was accommodating. She was also terrific on checking in with us to make sure we didn't need anything. I Have to say some of the best customer services.

I am going to be coming back soon. There are more menu items that I want to go back and try.

Great intimate decor with a nice bar. Our server, Jaci, provided terrific service. The crab cakes and salmon were excellent. Extensive drink menu to please everyone. Overall great value. We will be back.

Friendly staff and had a wonderful time enjoying the quiet atmosphere and dimmed lights for the evening. The entree portions are excellent in quality and size and you’ll definitely wanna try something off the dessert menu before leaving. The French onion soup is superb

Another great Kruse and Muer. Glad to see they have many of the same, popular menu items as the other locations. Service is already running very smoothly and you can't beat the location on Woodward!

The Waitress and The Waiter were wonderful! The bar is second to none and it was fast

The service and food was excellent! My only advice is when they take your food to pack it up to go, remember to tell them to store separately if you have food with any kind of sauce. She combined two of my foods and it has ruined the flavors for later.
