Super friendly staff at this place! Also a super value for the Petoskey area! Rooms are a basic motel style set up and improvements are being made. Friendly Staff, Reasonable Pricing and included Dining options (open 6am-6pm) are really what make this place! Close to shopping, dining and casino in the area. Rooms also had a small microwave and fridge. Toiletries were wall mounted in bathroom/vanity area, which I don’t prefer. I bring my own, but mentioning in case you prefer a specific type of soap, etc. Would stay here again!

Best hotel for sleep!! Every hotel I have stayed at there has always been so much noise from neighboring rooms or from the floors above. Beds are adjustable, awesome water temp and pressure, complimentary breakfast snacks and soups, great service, clean rooms, and television is mounted on the wall, so no chin to chest watching it from bed. I would definitely stay again.

Highly recommend this motel for those who need a place to stay while loved ones are in the nearby hospital. They offer a lower rate that made it much more affordable for my family and I. Our visit was made comfortable by having such a cozy and nice place to stay for a week. We really appreciated the cafeteria that is open from breakfast to the evening, too! The staff is very friendly, and we had no issues during our stay. We will certainly stay here again in the future!

This hotel was a last minute decision for us as we were not planning to be in that area on that day. They, however outshined all the planned hotels we stayed at for the week. We were shown two rooms and both were very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and have the bonus of snore setting which gave us the best night sleep we had all vacation. The person checking us in was very nice though easily flustered, and his manager was quick to come out and help him instead of ignoring the situation, which was amazing to see from upper management. He stayed to give us information about sites of interest and answer questions about directions and hotel services like breakfast options and operations. They were conveniently located with a really great view.

We stayed one night and would definitely stay again. All members of the staff were wonderful. The gentleman, Rob, who checked us in, was very friendly and helpful.
The cafeteria is way more than a continental breakfast. The food is good and the coffee is hot.
When they say "pet-friendly" that is exactly what they mean.

This place does need some updating, which they are working on, but what a great stay for us. The room was comfortable and offered a table, microwave and refrigerator, which we are very appreciative. They also offered adjustable and massage beds which are a nice perk. We had 1 in our room that didn't work, but we only needed one. The staff at the front desk was super friendly. When we mentioned the couple minor issues they were very responsive. We did request a room change which they happily adjusted for us. That did create a small sitation when the same room was offered to the original people booked there, but apologizies were offered and all worked out. Their breakfast is amazing. They had lots of selection including many hot foods. All the areas seemed very clean. We hope to stay there in the future.

Michigan inn & lodge has the best rates and always clean and ready for me! The staff is amazing they treat me like I’m part of the family! I have been coming here for four years now! Have been to all the hotels in town! Always come back here! WiFi is great and they feed your breakfast lunch and dinner!

This place is wonderful! My wife and I came up here from down state and we had such a good time that we came back the next weekend. The staff are super nice and ready to help you with whatever you might need. And we can't say enough about thier cafeteria that is clean and well stocked all day. We will be back here when ever we visit Petoskey!!

My family and I loved staying here and will continue to come back always. Mostly because it was very kid friendly! Free good food from 6am to 6pm. Cozy warm rooms with 55" TV with apps installed, and connected to their Wi-Fi that is also free for your devices. I fell in love with the beds, not only are they comfortable but they have a massage setting along with head and feet tilt. I hope they pay the managers a great amount for being so hospitable and professional.

We love Michigan Inn & Lodge. It is extremely affordable, and even though it isn't "top tier" it is just perfect if you are looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay in Petoskey! Staff is always friendly, beautiful location, especially if you get a room overlooking the bay, love the free eatery in the lobby! We have stayed here a few times and we really enjoy it, they do a great job. Thanks!

I am typically a Marriott loyalist and will always stay when one is nearby. But, we found ourselves needing something closer to the hospital and an extra room last minute and saw the great deal for an overnight at the Michigan Inn. Older Motel style so we didn't have super high expectations. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay because the beds were very comfortable and with adjustable power bases! Super cool ✅ Clean ✅ Smart TVs ✅ Free cafe from 6am to 6pm ✅✅ And lastly super helpful and friendly staff✅✅✅

( except the man who answers the phones, very short and not as helpful as the staff that you meet in person on the ground, not exactly versed in the art of customer service let's just say, Told us several times they had no availability but clearly the place was not full based on sight of parking lots after we arrived and the fact we could book the room online anyways quite easily.)

Biggest miss.. No coffee in the rooms we had. Have to walk outside to the cafe to get a cup of Java

Overall, they take care of details to make the older building a great stay at the best prices around. You will not find a better value trust me unless you completely have to have a high end hotel experience and don't care about the spend.

This place is a gem in the rough. We stayed 1 night but would have stayed a week. Continental Breakfast?? It's way more than that. Clean,proportionate, comfort. All outstanding. Next time I will fight for a room here....

This is the best lodging I've had at this value anywhere. Loved the view of the bay from my window. Staff was all friendly and helpful. Best part was the lounge serving free food from 6am-6pm, and the chili and soups were good! I was impressed with the array of free snacks as well. Also have to mention I loved being able to raise the head of my mattress up to watch tv and read in the evening.

For the most part, doesn't deserve as high regard, nice place though. The reason I'm giving such high remarks is the person that checked us in (Rob). He's going above and beyond our expectations. Loves what he does. Hopefully he's here when you're checking in, you'll be glad.

Andy that works the front desk and the cafeteria is one of the best employees I've seen. He is awesome! I hope he has a nice wage. He deserves a raise!! So kind, polite, and funny. I left a review before, however, I have to say once again, I cannot believe they have a free cafeteria! And, like Andy says, "I'd take the free cafeteria over a pool and hottub anyday". Thank you Andy for a great stay! 💙

The place was really nice, staff were really friendly. The Cafe was great, great food. it's free with your room. Rooms were clean n nice. Definitely coming back here.

The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly. They have free food available from morning till 8pm. The parking is amazing and you can park anywhere within the property. They have massage beds, which is great and you don't find very often. The view from the hotel is great.

I first booked here because of the price and was pleasantly surprised with the full complimentary food bar. I have never seen that in any hotel, for free! Nice enough rooms, the massaging beds are incredibly comfortable , the head can even be raised so watching t.v or reading is very comfortable and each have 5 fluffy pillows. Bathrooms are very basic, nothing fancy, but it's just a bathroom after all. Decent size fridge and microwave. The only thing I don't really like is that it seems there are always smokers outside, so there's that smell. But it's outside, so. Rooms are clean unless you look behind things. So don't do that and you'll be happy.

Stayed here during the busy 4th of July weekend. The staff here was pleasant and easy to work with. The breakfast area had plenty of food. Morning meals consisted of eggs, sausage, sausage gravy and biscuits, coffee and juice. Cereal, bread for toast, and waffle mix were also available. They offered soups and chili for afternoon meals...in other words: plenty of food between 6am and 10pm if needed. The rooms were comfortable especially if you get the gravity bed which was great after a long day. The location was excellent as it was close to the casino and the shopping areas. A little farther and you and access to the downtown Petoskey area and the park/bay area. Finally, the view of the bay from the balcony was part of our morning ritual just after breakfast.
