Stafford's Perry Hotel

A great, historic hotel. It reminded me of a smaller version of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. The rooms were clean & well decorated. The dining room was beautiful and the food was first rate. All of the staff were friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The icing on the cake is that you walk out the front door and you are in Petoskey's charming downtown, business district with unique shops that draw you into them.

Great location downtown and a walk away from everything. Excellent location right in the heart of charming downtown, making it a convenient choice. The hotel's historic feel adds to its appeal, providing a unique and memorable stay. Guests can enjoy a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by the friendly and attentive staff. Perry Hotel is a fantastic option for those looking to experience the best of Petoskey with ease and comfort.

We try to always stay here. The location can’t be beat, neither can the rooms. Situated in walking distance to some of our favorite watering holes and fabulous restaurants.
Beautiful accommodations. The rooms are very well appointed, and very clean.

We recently had our wedding here on New Years Eve. Jill the event coordinator was amazing and a pleasure to work with. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays and the service throughout our stay and during the wedding was impeccable. Jill and her team really went above and beyond to make our evening a really special one. The hotel is historic and charming, the rooms are well maintained and tasteful. We would absolutely stay here again in the future and I highly recommend it as a wedding venue during the summer or the winter!

If there were more than five stars to give, the Perry Hotel is certainly deserving! On the day following our wedding, I told the front desk manager that if you look up the word 'impeccable' in the dictionary, a picture of the Perry would accompany the definition. I meant it! Our experience could not have been more perfect from the very first consultation to the day following the wedding. Saying that every single employee of this venue takes pride in their job would be an understatement. Every one of them was friendly, helpful and attentive. We had a December wedding and the ambience of the hotel was captivating. We had our ceremony and our reception at the hotel and our guests could not stop raving about the entire experience! I could literally go on and on about every little detail but it would take days. From the candlelight ceremony to the ease of set up to the flaming dessert bar, our wedding at the Perry Hotel was simply amazing! And we have to mention that our coordinator Jill was the very best part of the process and we could not be more grateful to her!

I love the Perry. I've been here for vacations and most recently, unfortunately for a death in the family. They made us very comfortable in our difficult time. Everyone is so courteous and polite, always. The room was lovely with comfortable furniture and beds. We slept soundly and it was comforting to be in such a nice and familiar environment. Truly a home away from home.

A beautiful historic property with tales to be told. Is it haunted? Who knows. The recently renovated rooms are delightfully decorated with hot air balloons and one of the cleanest hotels I’ve been in, in quite some time. The bath tub is large and will fit most people comfortably. The carpets clean & un stained. I felt very happy in my clean room. I didn’t have a balcony but I can imagine that would’ve only elevated my stay. The breakfast options were very good, I especially loved the warm rolls. The staff are all very polite and attentive in both eateries on the property. We received upstanding service from the assist general manager, Winston. I look forward to visiting beautiful Petoskey again in the future.

Beautiful spot to spend a weekend and walk around downtown. spend time in a historic landmark and eat great food.

We had a great stay! A quiet, clean room with custom furniture and nice touches. Loved staying in such a historic building with nice touches like a spacious lobby with fireplace, library, and breakfast room with a great view. The best part was the location. Right downtown, and walkable to most places in Petoskey.

Had a great stay there, and the area. Room was great for an old established hotel, and great options inside the hotel for those that don’t venture out. The little gift shop is something most hotels don’t have anymore, so it is good that they have theirs.

I would come back next week if I could. Loved every part of my experience at the Perry. 💫

I stayed here for a work trip. The service was beyond amazing! The young gentleman who worked the night shift was absolutely the best. My GPS stopped working and this young man talked me thru town and ran outside to the street so I was able to find the hotel! It was the most heart filled experience. The breakfast servers made me feel at home with their conversation about the town. I can say that I have mentioned my experience to many friends. As this type of customer service we do not see anymore. If coming to Petoskey this is the place to stay!!! Great job!!!

The hotel is a lovely piece of history with a fantastic view of the bay. The breakfast we had in the hotel restaurant was absolutely delicious! Everything was amazing. The Vernor’s pancakes with blueberries, the poached eggs and bacon the Denver omelet -all incredible. Will definitely be back!
